[Q] but how do i install cwm???

HELLO GUYS.
BY READING THE SUBJECT U MUST HAVE FIGURED OUT I AM A DESPERATE NOOB
BUT SERIOUSLY CAN ANY ONE HELP ME TO INSTALL CWM ON GT-I5801. I AM ON STOCK FROYO 2.2 DDJP4(INDIA) ROOTED MANUALLY9(SUPER1CLICK). PLEASE HELP ME GUYS.. THANKING U ALL IN ADVANCE

i think g3mod kernel has cwm in it just flash g3mod kernel or contact the one who ported cwm to our phone

yes G3Mod 1.5.2, all versions have CWM...I personally would recommend 1.5.2 Ultimate Version.

Well, don't recommend version 1.5.2 because it have a problem with uv and works only with some phones. Better install version 1.6.

well When i replied to him, 1.6 was still in testing phase by dharamg3 so didnot write that, there wasnt much option then..but good news now is that 1.6 is released and the link is : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1129367

but what do u suggest umang.. 1.6 or 1.5? and if i flash it over ddjp4(india) stock kernels will it work?

The G3Mod kernel has the CWM included. Stylooo's ROM is the latest to include CWM.

Apologies for late reply, i was on tour.
definately G3Mod Ultimate 1.6 ( no 2nd thoughts for me )
I did use it over ddjp4 India and it is amazing (though I am now on Kyrillos 7.1 coz there hasnt been any ROM like that so far)
v1.6 is stable, no freezes yet for me in last two days since i installed, has CWM, My stats are there in my Signature....Normally I do a wipe before and after flashing Kernel
Share your experience of v1.6 with DharamG3 and thank him if you like it (thats the least we guys can do to motive them)

The good thing about this forum is there is no trouble in helping any fellow G3 user
as for apps2SD.... check out G3Mod App ...it will help you with getting the best out of g3mod kernels..including app2sd, data2sd, file system convert....etc

yes umang i have g3mod apk installed. now there r 3 options: 1)convert file systems. 2)data2sd. 3)apps2sd. when i clik data2sd or apps2sd i get " make sure uer sd card is partioned properly". i have a 4gb sd card..so
Q)how to do partition? Q)cud u tell me values of partition? Q)shud i go for app2sd v2?

go to recovery.. in advanced , u will find an option to partition ur sd..
PS : this wil format ur sd , so plz back up ur sd before perfoming partitioning..

dude..if u knw..we can multiboot froyo..
but dun knw about cyanogen mod and ics
plz..verify for these
u can make system.img file by go to clockword mode and select backup current rom option...if u hav installed or any one has installed ics den plz. make backup and provide the file for multiboot..

You can't multiboot to ics as the kernel doesn't support it yet. Yup you're wrong, if kernel don't support=no multiboot. There may be a modded kernel, but it may have broken the multiboot feature at the same time while making it compatible with ics

wt aboyt cm7 ?? is dis multi-bootable ??
and recently i hav formatted my fone to increase internal phone storage but still its 103 mb out of 182 MB
cn u help u decrease it more...
dere is no extra app installed in system i checked with titanium for increasing stoarge

1 Good rom for regular use (cm7 rom)

It's G3MOD with some patches to support CM7 and CM9, CWM5, etc ...
It works with Samsung's FIMG and openFIMG.

yeah... but there is one for cm7 also.... which fixes camera....i attached it here again...that one is only for ics with ics kernel..... btw for the ics one if u get wierd colours flash again and problem solved

With openfimg the buttons in the camera app were not good displayed untill tom3q fixed it. Now theyre just fine

Can you make a little description of the update zips, for a noob like me , it's hard to know what they do

But it's not sync with dharamg's repo since a while.

cm7 fimg revert + cwm touch !! (arakmars kernel modified)

guys im here posting a modified version of arakmars kernel
this includes cwm touch and normal samsung gpu drivers without the lates fimg drivers that arent fully fixed..
people would have installed alpha 8 and installed arakmars kernel for cwm touch and fimg revert to get back the old working fimg...
this is a combination of both check it out (tested on cm7.2 alpha 8 only)
dont know f this works on ics..
