So, I had the Inc1, bricked it, bought the Inc2, fixed the Inc1, sold it, bought a Droid 2 Global, traded it for the EVO, soon selling the EVO, my uncle gave me the Inc1, and then I'm buying the Nexus in May. Wow. Anyway, I now have the Inc1 again, so I'll try to hook you guys up with something. I was here when I first joined and a noob, but now I'm back. Just here to say hi.
Eris then Droid 1 then Incredible 1 then Droid Pro then Incredible 1 then Incredible 2 and now back to Incredible 1 again last night. Incredible 1 is a bad ass phone I don't care what anyone says.

Couldn't agree more. I'm on the Rezound now, and am looking at my Incredible 1 as I type. Seems so tiny compared to the Rezound, now that I haven't used the Inc for awhile.

Yep, really free. Picked one up for my wife today. Quite an improvement over the EnV Touch.

I just got my Verizon HTC Incredible for free today at the South Salt Lake store location. Man, I feel happy. Although the HTC Evo would have been nice too on Sprint.
Looks like time to get the Vibrant sooner or later
Switched to the Incredible(free phone Friday) after breaking then getting a 2nd Fascinate..don't regret it. Tired of big phones and missed HTC build.

I saw an article today that said Best Buy is running $100 Incredibles through this wknd (w/2-yr or eligibility for upgrade)

Just picked my Inc up an hour ago.
Just noticed my old Sprint Hero battery fits this. So what if it is black. I dont walk around with the cover off anyways. And it's 1500mAh.
Loving my free Dinc.

Friend came by tonight to get some help rooting and loading an AOSP rom on his D2.
I will never consider this phone a pain in the ass again.

Are you implying that the droid 2 is a bigger pain in the ass? Because I feel like the fascinate is a huge pain in the ass and am looking for something else. If the droid 2 is worse then thanks for the heads up. **** I miss my nexus, why oh why couldn't they just make a vzw nexus like they said they were going to?!
if you wanted a nexus on verizon get a dinc, just as good actually better. and as far as the droid 2 goes, there is absolutely no way that the fascinate is a bigger pain in the ass than the D2 with the locked bootloader. No way no how

Amen on both counts. Inc and desire are both N1 clones, different form factor.

Returning the Global cause I rarely used the hard keyboard and the extra bulk was annoying

I haven't tried the droid 2 but I have the droid x
So far I have really loved this phone. 4.3 inch screen is awesome, the processor is great, and the camera and hdmi is just fantastic. I did have issues with the first phone I received, the camera didn't take as good quality as I thought it should. Now that the X has a rom called Liberty it is even that much more awesome.
I have processed my exchange for a Droid X. Looking forward to it!

Should of waited for the bionic. Tis tis tis but the x is cool just wait until some underground hacker unlocks the bootloader man that will be the day.

I am trying to make the decision of which one to get at the moment, Droid 2G or the Droid X. Is there any reason to think one phone is more solid than the other?
I love my DX. I came from an iPhone and will never look back unless iOS changing a few things. If you pick the DX you will love it. HTC does make great phones but the size of this screen makes other things feel obsolete

My Dad got me the HTC evo at the beginning of the year but now me and him want data (we were flashed to pageplus but data didn't work on them). So my question is what is the best. rom, kernal, ect for the Droid x. I just want to be ready when I get the Droid x and messing arround for days trying to get the best combination or roms and kernals.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Well.
Good luck with that.
We have a locked bootloader, kid. The kernels we're provided are the kernels we get.
But as far as ROMS go...
I like Liberty. Both the froyo and gingerbread versions are great.
I haven't really played with the others...for...like 5 months.
So maybe they're holding ground too, but I wouldn't know.
Apex 2.0 is talked about a lot.
Zombie Stomped
Fission
P.S.
You're switching carriers and picking up a Droid X?
I assume you're going to lock yourself into a 2 year contract?
Not to be rude...and nothing against the X...
But this phone will be a year old in July.
The X2 is already out, actually.
I'd get something top-of-the-line for the extra $50 if you're going to be stuck with it for two years.
No my dad buys them off of craigslist. And the evo wont get 4g service but my dad got the x and it works great
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
My advice is to influence your father to make the better choice and go for the newer device. From the purely economic point of view, buying a year old phone now results in an increased likelyhood of failure or desire for a newer phone in the two years of your contract, buying the new phone now means you are more able to make it two years without being left behind.
