Hi again everyone,
It seems I'm still having issues with my Kindle Fire. Whenever I try to boot into recovery mode (ie, from KFU or by pressing the power buttons when required for things like TWRP) it the device simply restarts at the point when it should actually change into recovery mode. This is preventing me from flashing a new rom onto it as I don't know how else to do it (I'm sure I can by other means). Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, I have a big problem.
I installed CM7 with TWRP and I rebooted my KF. CM7 was ok.
My second step was to install gapp, so in CM7 I rebooted the KF in recovery mode, but now I have a vicious circle.
In TWRP I press reboot in system mode or in "power off" mode, but in each cases the KF continue to entry in TWRP without I press the power button.
It's impossible to launch android system.
If I use the KF utility, this recognize KF, but if I launch some option, it's stopped to wait for device.
Please help me.
Thank you

you need to update divers. I installed the divers with kindle utility and they didn't work. Try searching the threads
Edit.. don't worry I've been here so many times with different things. It seems to be very hard to brick a kindle. Its stuck in boot loop and this has been covered so many times. Hope this helps. If you can't find the right thread let me know and I'll have a look for you.

If you are running windows this is the easiest way to go about fixing any booting problems that you may be having
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1428428
If you are not using windows look in my guide and the fix is also in there to do it manually from a command prompt:

I recently attempted to flash the Virtuous S-Series ROM to my Nexus 7, and something went wrong. When I attempt to boot normally, I get the correct boot screen, followed by something that looks like light static interference, and then nothing. It won't respond in any way after that until I hold the power button for about 20-30 seconds to shut it off manually. If I attempt to boot into CWM Recover (Using Vol- + PWR) It freezes as soon as the CWM menu appears. I'm really not sure what else to try....it just doesn't seem to respond to anything I know how to do. I don't have a lot of experience with Android, mostly just messing around with custom ROMs every now and again. Any help is appreciated!
this toolkit will help you mate, everything you can find there, from rooting, installing CWM to re-installing the default stock image to escaping from bootloop to everything basically
Follow this to get it back to stock. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796
It is not that hard at all and you will be glad you did.
You guys rock! I'll give it a try right away. =)
I've tried to find a way to use both solutions, but I can't get my tablet into recovery or the normal android interface, so there's no way for me to install the necessary drivers, as far as I can tell? What can I do to restore my device if I can't make it respond to anything?
Hi Guys,
Having major issues with my LG G2 D802 (international version).
I have the OTA update to 4.4 already installed.
Im rooted with the TWRP Recovery installed - v2.7.0.0
Noticed i had a software update earlier from LG themselves so decided to select yes and thought that it would just update LG's stock apps (camera, Quick Remote etc) - the phone rebooted into TWRP Recovery and wouldnt reboot from there, i have a back up installed on my device but even when trying to restore the back-up it wont reboot past the TWRP Recovery screen after installing the back-up
I have tried to boot into safe mode so i can install the KDZ and start from scratch but the phone wont even boot into safe mode. I power device off using TWRP Recovery - i then press volume up and keep it held down but when connecting device to pc with USB i immediately get the 'LG' splashscreen instead of the safemode
I can't get further than this and i'm pulling my hair out - any fixes or suggestions about how i should go about sorting this please?.......getting into safe mode would be a great start
Thanks for any help
Update - I've installed all necessary drivers on my pc (had these before but downloaded again anyway just to make sure) and when i connect the LG to the pc i get the 'bim bom' sound notification telling me something has been connected to my pc but the LG doesnt show up anywhere under computer
Whats going wrong here! Any suggestions please?
Hello,
I have bricked my LG G2 (D802) and installed the stock image with the LG flash tool. Now, I don't have a recovery anymore (I press volume down and power on boot but it doesn't open a recovery, just tells me in the left corner that I'm in security mode).
Also, the biggest problem here is, that if I boot my LG G2, I can't use it. There is all the time a message popping up that com.android.phone was shut down, I can't do anything.
I want to wipe the phone completely but don't have a clue how. My computer doesn't recognize the booted phone, it's just working in download mode. But I can't install the recovery from download mode.
Could someone please help me?
Flashing kdz makes you loose that. Only way to get it back is by following the procedures mentioned everywhere.
Also note, its likely on your version different combo key opens recovery. Forgot what it was but its been mentioned plenty of times.
Use that combo, do a factory reset and it should be fine
Hello, I own a Lenovo A6010, I recently tried to install a custom rom from a forum in this website, as i am newbie to all this, I think i screwed somewhere. Now my phone is stuck on boot screen. I cannot even start my phone in recovery mode or the menu that takes you to recovery mode.
Before flashing i had taken a backup of the dalvik cache and system and data and all those options available in the backup option in twrp which kept on my pc. Now i dont have any idea what do.
I even downloaded the stock rom of my phone from some website, but it was available in a rar file.
When I connect my phone with a cable while pressing the volume down button the same boot screen pops up and my computer starts to install device drivers. I think my phone can be brought back to normal, but i don't know how.
can someone please help me with some suggestions on what to do with my brick.
Thanks in Advance...
Warm regards
Do you have twrp installed? And by what method exactly did you try to install the custom rom?
Edit: Nevermind. Didn't realise this was a year old thread
