Strange camera issue in MeDroid CM7 - Nexus One General

SOLVED - post #3
Have a weird problem with camera using MeDroid 7.1 (based on CM7.2) with default IR kernel and S2E with 4EXT card partition
For no reason (I haven't modified anything in the kernel or even /system or /data) the system camera stopped working properly.
This is what I get entering the app (but preview works normally, just didn't applied to the screenshot)

It doesn't FC or anything. Just stays like that until I press home to leave it.
Other non-system apps work
Any ideas what the source can be and where to look for a solution? (I reinstalled the system once after this issue, don't want to make it once more)
Thanks in advance for help!

I have the same ROM installed, and I don't have this problem. Try flashing a different ROM? CM7 perhaps?

SOLVED
It was a deeper problem - I repartitioned the phone with Blackrose and restored - works now.

98% of FC'S

So fc's are either from your data or a bad flash. If you had any themed apps or themes they are not always compatible with a newest version rom. Also sometimes you can go to manage applications push the app that is fc and clear data and that might resolve your issue. Wiping data is absolutely a must. I usually don't restore data from cwm from old roms onto new roms. Ti backup I use to restore apps. I don't have any of the fc's that I've been seeing everyone have with flashing new roms. Please wipe your data so there is not extraneous posts about this in the rom threads.
this goes without saying.

[Q]Problem after flashing

Hi, so I was trying out a new ROM, but before that I had backed up my entire system (data included) through TWRP.
I tried the new ROM, didn't like it, so I booted into recovery and wiped system + factory reset.
I then flashed ROM + gapps, then restored data from my Nandroid.
After it booted up it's now like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Although all my data is in there, none of the apps are showing up in my launcher. Searching the apps and attempting to download them brings me to an error -24, which basically means I already have the app.
So now I can't do anything with my phone, since I can't reinstall to get the icon back and neither can I launch the app.. Help please?
those arent apps, they are the data for those apps. the apps are in /data/app/, not in your storage.
Oh well, just factory reseted my phone, back to a clean slate. Mods please close this thread, thanks

I've thinked that's an screen display problem, but when I'm browsing in custom recovery everything workd perfectly
Have you ever seen this problem before ?
Thank's
I think there is a problem with your magnetic sensor responsible for the S cover.
Yes it's the Sview window. I think your magnetic sensor is somehow acting wrong.
This Xposed module disables it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2621807
Do you have sometimes a normal screen? Then you could try to install it. (install Xposed framework first).
If not then I think you could try a AOSP based rom. I don't think they use that sensor.

Brightness bar screwed up after flashing kernel (in automatic mod)

Hi everybody
I just flashed the LeanKernel.
All is fine, except my brightness bar in the status bar, when I check "auto.". It's totally screwed up...
I thought it was the kernel that did it, but after flashing AEL Kernel, it's the same...
Here 2 screenshots:

Someone else had this bug too or know how to fix it ?
Hope you will be able to help me !
I did:
- Boot in recovery
- Wipe cache / Dalvik
- Flash kernel
- Reboot
I have a N9005 EU, running last stock firmware 4.4.2, rooted.
no problem with stock-like rom and lean 3.11 and even before with different version of rom and kernel
Mmh... I think I'll have to do a soft reset and try again...
Did you install the note 4 weather zip? That's why mine is like that.
I just turn it up and down manually.
