Hi,
I use Galaxy Tab 7.7 without any modifications.
Something happened to the apps list screens (accessible through small "Apps" icon on top of the display).
When I move an app icon from a certain screen to another, it will come back to the old place after some time.
This does not happen on home screens, just on some apps screens.
Any help will be appreciated.

I had that problem too. Solved it deleting touchwiz data in the app manager (you wil have to rebuild your folders and desktop settings)...
Sorry, I am not yet very well acquainted with Android/TouchWiz.
You mean to use the standard Settings app and clean data for Twlauncher?
Will it reset both the home screens AND app list screens?
Thanks a lot!

Maybe somebody will be interested.
I found a (relatively) safe solution.
The AppZorter allows to sort the app screens and works well on Galaxy Tab 7.7.
If the sorting does not put everything in order, there is "Advanced settings" option and "Reset", which completely restores the default app screens.

Hello,
I was wondering is it possible to re organise the application on the x10 so i can put my favourates nearer the top and on the first page?
thanks for your help
You could put your favourites onto one of your home screens. That's what most people seem to do.
go to one of the home screens, slide up the apps panel then hold your finger on the app you want until it vibrates the app panel will close and you can drop the app onto the screen.
Simples!

thanks for the reply.
yeh i did have that set up before but im using timescape as my homescreen now so was hoping id be able to just reorder the entire list of applications so the ones i want are close to hand.
done
its ok i figured it out...if u hold it down for ages it wil let u move each app...
How do I reorder the menu?
I want to move some apps to the top of the application list (NOT the home screen).
I'm pretty sure that you can't.. although No1 Fred might say different?

Wow, thought it would of been one of the first things they would of had aside from changing from list to grid.
I guess that's what the home screens are for though.. although if you use timescape as the home screen then you're a bit knackered!!.. (Does anyone find it useful to use Timescape as the home screen?? I know a few have tried it then reverted back to "normal" home screen..)..
Plus if you install a different app launcher (open home or Helix) then you can have more home screens.. and organise your apps into groups.. (I've got 5 screens with Games on one screen, internet stuff on another.. clock and calendar on the centre, then "System tools", then useful gadgets on the fifth..)
Hi all,
For those that use touchwiz, how are you guys and girls managing applications order on your application screen (Note not the home screen).
Are there easier way to manage applications and page order without having to individually drag and drop each one?
Thanks.
PS: Wouldn't it be nice if Kies can manage applications on your galaxy S?
I'm using Zeam launcher http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=664149 Minimalist, clean and it order apps by name
I have been creating some folders for applications in my app pages - just to keep them organised. Create one called Photo and dropped in Camera and Gallery icons, then created a fe more folders, and suddenly the Folder has disappeared and the icons with it. My Camera and Galery icons are now only visible in the 'frequently used' tab by not the 'All' tab. A reboot has not brought them back. I can use the applications launched from the copy I have on my homescreen, but this seems weird that they have vanished. Device is a stock, unrooted , and no customisations whatsoever. Any help would be appreciated.
I had the same problem, I gave up trying to find a fix and just installed a new launcher (ADW Launcher ex, about $3), if you are looking for a new one I would suggest the new Go Launcher HD (it is free).

Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>TWlauncher and clear data. All your icons will be back and the home screen will revert to stock. Drawback is you have to recustomise your home screens again.

Thanks, I have been trying to figure this out for a couple of weeks.
I have the sample problem. After creating some folders, some icons disappeared.
It should be a bug.
The icon will lost after made a update
Thanks for the solution, a frustrating bug which has made me try out go launcher HD. Very nice and smooth.
How do you add a settings shortcut for battery and wifi manager on the home screen? I've been scouring through the widgets and nothing seems to appear, normally with all other phones a "settings" widget is available and you get to choose which settings you want a link to.
Thanks

i was using the galaxy note ii for a while and loved settings widget/shortcut. i moved on to the galaxy note 3 on a different carrier. i also have sm-n9005. both note 3s do not have the settings widget. it is frustrating. what i recommend is installing action launcher by chris lacy. it will add 2 widgets to the widget launcher/menu. choose the activities widget. the list of apps and settings that populates is more extensive than the note ii's version. there you can add bluetooth, data usage, wifi, and tethering one by one. after creating all the shortcuts i needed, uninstalled action launcher. remember to keep touchwiz as your default launcher in the beginning of the process.
(on a side note, action launcher is great. i even purchased the pro key. however, i just don't like the way apps look in folders. in addition, 1x1 widgets do not align properly with regular app icons sometimes. as for 4 row widgets, it automatically adds margins/padding so they look more align with other same sized widgets. some 4 row widgets on touchwiz go edge to edge which is annoying. in regards to the s pen features, air command did not pop up on action. honorable mention, shutters is a great action feature. last mention, i don't use action on the note 3.)
I recently rooted my phone using Is in and had my own set of issues with that but am now unrooted to the best of my knowledge. However I am still running custom Rom from the root. Everything seems to work perfectly except for Samsung Pay which I tried to fix by flashing all new stock rom through Odin to no avail, but that isn't my problem. I noticed when moving apps around on my screen that the whole screen woukd go blank and I'd just be holding the app guessing where to put it. When trying to edit widgets there was no home screen, except for briefing, which hadn't been working. After turning briefing on and creating a new home page simply because I didn't want to deal with it and couldn't find help, I couldn't place any widgets due to the fact that they are on this phantom briefing home page already. When changing the grid for apps within the page settings, I can see the apps on the "briefing" page but that is the only way that I can see it all. If possible I'd like to wipe the widgets or something of the sort if there is no way to fix my pages. Please help me if you have any advice. I just want my phone working again.
I have imgur links for the screenshots but can't post them because this is my first post.
Are you using a custom launcher? If so, which one is it.
Resolved, sort of.

I am using the stock launcher, I have since fixed the issue through a factory reset and restore of apps. My advice to all S7 Edge rooters until the bug is truly fixed: after you get your phone rooted or unrooted, running custom rom, if you see that briefing is missing, create a new home page and move all of your apps one page to the right. Leave the original homepage, now on the left, blank and designate the one with apps as your main page by clicking the home icon. With the two home pages set up, go apply a theme. This should force the phone to locate all of the apps and "think" about them. For me this automatically placed briefing over the blank home page that is to the left. I hope that this helps anyone experiencing the same issue. Thank you for the reply and I'm glad to be a part of XDA
