### KaRboNandroid v1.0##
A ROM based on Cyanogenmod 7.1-Grif_07.. My first ROM... Came as a newbie now learning things step by step.. Thanks for all dev's and noobs
Features:
Most of the system apps removed.. probably not all but as a custom ROM it features only custom apps.
Loaded=Go sms pro,Go launcher...
Font=ROBOTO
Tweaks:
Tweaks by GadgetCheck v8.5.
Lagfree v2 by slaid
Screenshots not added bcoz its almost same as CM7 but added custom apps...
Coming to the speed thing its lil bit faster than usual as system apps removed(Not all again )
U can feel the difference.. battery backup is really good and better.. I got around one day with mod usage..
Bugs:
Most important part of any work is BUGS!! without bugs u cant learn anything..
In this ROM, only one bug is there(if u find any pls lemme know ) the camera recorder FC's i tried third party apps no use.. Still FC's i ll fix it in next part for sure...
How to Install:
AS simple as that...
WIPE DATA, WIPE CACHE AND WIPE DALVIK CACHE.. Install zip from SDcard!!
WAIT REBOOT,IF U STUCK INTO ANDROID BOOT SCREEN JUST REMOVE THE BATTERY AND PUT IT BACK AND REBOOT..(DUNNO WY IT WORKS THAT WAY SORRY FOR THAT)

Thanks for your interest in my latest creation. You might know that I have already published 2 ROMs (iCandy with 3467 downloads since published & ICSTweaked with 1355 downloads since published) which received unbelievable response here which ultimately made me restless to give more contribution to this forum. So here I am with my another creation WhiteCandy v1 by Adwait

How to install :
Boot in recovery CWM 5
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Advanced>>Wipe dalvik cache
Choose 'Install zip from sd card'
Choose the file 'WhiteCandy_v1_CM7.2_By_Adwait.zip '
Reboot after the flashing completes. 1st reboot may take 3-4 minutes. After 1st reboot and setting account, 2nd boot is recommended.

did not face this problem.
installation went smooth without any hitch.
just wipe data, wipe cache and wipe delvik cache before flashing.

Did that twice but nothing happens
Anyway, i'll try it again next time.

hahah!! Devenagari support was the only thing which made me to cook ROMs for my SAG I am a Marathi speaker so Marathi is must for me on my SGA. Well you can give it a try. Ketut's kernel which I used is the most stable in my opinion but it's upto you.

hahah!! try and see!! well don't mind, just kidding. I will post my battery stats soon. But it lasts almost 1 and half days for a normal user like me. and battery usage all depends person to person.

Well don't know the reason. Just check you have latest CWM. As I suggested CWM 5. This may create problems. Besides that I don't know, may be your downloaded file is corrupted. Just try downloading it again and then flash it. Waiting for your response!!

Well as I said it depends on your usage. For me, a normal user it stands for 36-40 hours till 1% remaining. For some heavy users it may stands for 2 hours too. So it depends how much you use your phone. I tried my best to remove all those battery consuming elements to give additional battery boost but it's upto the user!!

Yes but you may not get the UI as it gives in this ROM. I have modified few things! But you can try!

Good rom, just few questions... first why there are 2 launchers?? In trebuchet there is overlapping issue so nova it is . Next in rom control i'm missing 2g/3g toggle while in other aokp there is.

Michie's A2SDX not working here. Created the EXT4 partition (1GB), flashed the zip through CWM, got a positive result, but nothing changed under Settings -> Storage. Even tried to flash it twice, got the same positive result, but no extra space again.
EDIT: A2SDX FROM MICHIE IS WORKING. Just needed to reflash.
Got stuck on boot animation after flashing Michie's Performance Package, although I got a positive result in CWM. Over 10 minutes waiting.
Also, tried to flash gapps, the only new apps are Play Store, Talk and Voice search.
As people mentioned above, screen goes on again, for less than a second, after locking it with the lock button. It doesn't happen if you wait the sleep time. It does happen if you wait the sleep time, but on lockscreen (without unlocking the phone). Weird.
Also mentioned above, there's a weird overlapping from the home screen apps over the dock (it gets worse if you enable the navigation bar). I see no reason for a 3rd party launcher, but while this isn't fixed, I'm going with Nova.
In general, this is a great job. Nice config options from AOKP, less buggy than my first CM10 attempt, and a bit faster than CM10 (could be placebo, though).

Wait, aren't the performance packages for Cm10 and AOKP different? If you've flashed the Cm10 one, it's got a patched framework, amid other things, so it won't work with AOKP, for reasons evident.

AOKP performance package do not work.
Anyway what do you guys think is smoother, this or CM10?

When I connect USB cable the phone its charging but I dont know how can I transfer data? There is no pop-up menu like in CM
And there is not option to connect to Google account is that correct?

Thanks, but this does not work for me.. The phone is charging but no data transfer possible.. (there is no other sign that the the phone is connected to the PC)

hi there i can tell you the best thing at the min will be int2sd+ or D2EXT+ both need a ext3/4 partition and work well without slowing down our ace

In this rom i didnot used ics file manager..
Also there are so many plenty choices for applications just download oi file manager or es file manager have some more features..

Have a look in the right side you See the cam Symbol if you tab this it opens a little menu straight left in it you See a ball this is photosphere

Will there be an overclock kernel for this rom

Power button bug is still here on 2012-12-23. It doesnt turn on many times and I have to press it for a while till restart. Any ideas?

I've heard that this ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1823696 ) works with CM10.1. Use with caution though, I'm not sure if those posts were credible or if they worked at all.

NO, but we are working on a environmentally green kernel that will allow you to run everything at half speed and get battery life of 3 months per charge. As fast as this tab is, you won;t even notice the difference..:cyclops:

I've got this installed on my wifes Galaxy Tab working great ready for xmas
Just one thing, ive got apps, etc installed, etc. So whats the quickest/safest method in order to keep all the apps, settings, etc
and then be able to flash the latest build of this CM10.1 ?

There isn't photosphere's symbol. Only panorma mode, camera and video.

Do this 4.2 Have multiple user support???
What are new features screenshots please...

No where in the thread does it say that the kernal works on cm 10.1! I've tested it and while it did boot it hangs when it upgrading android so no it doesn't work. Maybe it'll get fixed to work in the future maybe not....

People say that hangs on boot Mang, def doesn't work....
Edit: my bad didn't see the post above mine.... Also I have no photosphere either, only panorama and video and still same as some... Someone with working photosphere do me a kind one and post a link to the gapps u used ?

If u use ti backup, DO NOT RESTORE YOUR DATA WHEN U RESTORE YOUR APPS.... YOU WILL BREAK APPS FROM UPDATING AT THE VERY LEAST AND WILL PROB BREAK SOME ALL TOGETHER... ASUMING U DONT BREAK YOUR INSTALL.... ONLY RESTORE JUST THE APPS NOT THE DATA WITH TI BACKUP...
there, I feel like I saved someone some hasle today , merry Christmas !!!!
Oh and PS:
Do not back up and restore system apps, that will def EFF u up
Your best bet:
Use a root exploring file manager,
Navigate to /data/app , and copy the apps you want to save and paste them to your SD card
Next repeat except from /system/app (be care full here u really prob don't need anything from here, but just check, and remember only downloaded market apps)
After upgrading use file manager to install from SD card ( navigate to where they are and click on them and let droid install them)
HINT: THE FIRST TIME U TRY TO INSTALL IT WILL WARN YOU ABOUT UNKNOWN SOURCES... PRESS THE SETTING BUTTON THAT WILL POP UP AND WHEN IT BRINGS U TO THE CORRECT SETTINGS PAGE CLICK THE CHECKBOX NEXT TO UNKNOWN SOURCES...

I have the same "problem" I only have the normal Panorama, but Photosphere is mising.
Using cm-10.1-20121223-NIGHTLY-p5110.zip with GAPS 4.2...

my Tab wakes up sometimes without any interaction from the outside world.. this happens whether I was using a lock screen or unsecured.. will try to reproduce the problem and am open to any suggestions. :fingers-crossed:
