hey all.
When I power on my kindle it goes straight to TWRP... I tried to wiped and flashed the rom many times, but it does not help... I had have install this rom ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1475054 ), just to try it, but I like the reloaded rom more, so i flashed it back, and now im stuck in TWRP...
i dont have access to my storage( http://imgur.com/mMERX ), when i try to mount sdcard i get this in windows: "you need to format the disk in drive G: before you can use it. do you want to format it?"
what can i do?
thanks

to get out of twrp hook it up to kfu hit 1 it will say waiting for devices then shut the kindle off and turn it back on and it will connect while its booting up

And for the sd i think the only option is to reformat it in twrp
re:TWRP loop
try this, it worked for me.
Plug in USB cable to Kindle Fire on TWRP Recovery mode.
Bring up Command Prompt.
Key in adb shell.
Key in idme bootmode 4000.
Finally, key in reboot.
That’s it.
what do i need to write in first? because if i just open command promt and enter adb shell, it says: 'adb' is not recognized as an iternal or external command, operable program or batch file.
ok, i managed somehow to boot in normal mode. so now i have official amazon rom. i think. but the windows still dont recognize my storage drive... any ideas?
edit: I fixed that too! thank you guys!
Hey, would you mind writing out what you did because I'm facing the same problem you are. I managed to boot it in normal mode and I can at least access twrp...as for the drives, that's still a prob. Thanks!!
Edit: Managed to get myself out of the twrp loop with the kf unbrick. A little odd how it didn't work before o.o but it works now. As for the format disk thing, they're alright and work normally after the unbrick. Yayyy

UPDATE 3: I've got it back to as stock as I can get it. I think I'm going to just return it and get a new one. Thank you all for your help.
UPDATE 2: As of right now, I'd like to completely remove FFF from the device, but I can only use fastboot to do it. I have absolutely no adb access. Is there a way?
UPDATE: Here is a video showing what is happening to my KF: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MH6oUg1NmC0
I hate to start another thread about boot loops/bricking, but I'm not sure what's going on with my fire.
I had CM7 installed successfully since the day after Christmas. This morning I woke up and my Fire was being really sluggish, so I rebooted it (I did not select reboot into recovery).
After it powered on, I was stuck at the CM7 boot screen (with the skateboarding android). I let it sit, but no luck. I went into TWRP to try and restore the backup I made of the stock rom. It looked successful, but when I rebooted I was stuck at the Kindle Fire boot screen.
Next, I tried wiping the device and re-installing CM7, but I received an error (something along the lines of E:Error unable to find /tmp/sideload/blahblah).
So I again restored my backup of the stock rom. Now when I power on my Fire I see the yellow triangle, then the kindle fire logo, yellow triangle, kindle fire logo, and it just keeps repeating. The problem is I am unable to connect to adb because the PC only seems to recognize the adb device for a few seconds after the yellow triangle, which does not give me enough time to fix the problem.
Any ideas?
looks like you'r out of battery ! the kf is rebooting !
would take the wall charger and charge for an hour
it's not possible to charge with the computer - it lasts forever
then it should respond in a stable state

Recovery shows my battery level to be at 53%. I've got it on the charger now, but I have a feeling there is something else going on.
Also, I am unable to mount my Fire's SD to my computer in recovery. It looks like it is working, but my computer never acknowledges it.
maybe because your last installation failed
nevertheless i would try to charge and then go in twrp and retry the installation
if that's not sucessful i would try to switch the kf to fastboot and copy a new rom. stock or prerooted stock or cm7 - whatever you like
in twrp there is a point "mount" - sdcard - then you should get it from computer

Thanks for the reply. Is adb required to get into fastboot? The problem is that I am unable to get into adb because my computer only sees the Fire for about 1 second. When I go into device manager, I don't see it at all.
EDIT: Yeah, I see the mount in TWRP, but it does not do anything when I select it.
Hi Im a beginner but Id like to try to help :
In case you become desperate ignore twrp's battery display and try wall charger.
Anorher idea id have is to shut down throughr twrp and start up then instead of rebooting.
ADB is needed to get into fastboot, but it's quick. If you use KFU, you can probably hit the option during the couple seconds you have available. I would say your best bet, however, is booting into twrp, doing a full wipe of system, cache, davlik cache, and maybe data, and then trying the rom install again.

So this time it looks like the installation worked in TWRP, but after reboot now I'm stuck at the CM7 boot screen. This is at least some progress, so when I get home I'll see what I can do.

Well, the battery is definitely not the issue. I've been trying to get fastboot, but the problem is the fact that I can not get adb. Has anyone else had issues with getting adb? I've already tried to install the drivers, and that doesn't work.
EDIT: I've tried issuing "adb devices" from the command prompt repeatedly as soon as I hear the ding until it disconnects a second later, but still I have had no luck.
Also, I found this thread in which someone else appears to have had a similar issue to mine.

at the moment adb is useless - you should try to get the device in fastboot mode - correctly recognised from your computer - then work with fastboot commands - if you don't get that then your next opinion is buying or making a factory cable - but we should try to avoid that ...

I can not seem to get fastboot to work either. Does fastboot rely on adb? Or do you just run the .exe file? I tried to run it, and nothing happened.
fastboot has nothing to do with adb - calling just the exe does nothing -
you have to issue fastboot commands
ok have reread the whole thread and have some ideas:
your currently stuck at the cm7 boot screen ?
have you used the "stock rom version" to wipe data and cache partitions as described here ?

perhaps it will help to wipe data/cache with twrp ...

OK, so I restored my original rooted kindle rom, but I still can't get into fastboot because of the problem I showed in the video. It is doing exactly the same thing, just instead of the CM7 boot screen, it is the Kindle Fire boot screen.
Is is possible to get into fastboot without the computer? Can anyone think of a reason why I would not be able to mount my device in TWRP?
I just want to understand something about fastboot... can you upload and flash roms with it? Or can you only get TWRP / FFF with it? I ask because I already have them, and I still can't do anything (mount from inside TWRP doesn't work). Thanks!

Cool. I just ordered one of SkOrPn's cables, so once I get it I'll be sure to give an update. Thanks for all the help so far!
The cable isn't need when you have the FFF bootloader, in fact, when your computer does see the device for the short amount of time shown in the video, fastboot is active. It's a feature of FFF. Fastboot is a command line tool like adb but is used for different things. It comes in Android sdk which if you have that, you should update the tools packages in the Android manager and it will update adb and fastboot. It looks like something is not working correctly in twrp and the OS is failing to load. I'm not sure you need to oem format tho.....
At some point you had to have used fastboot to install twrp and/or FFF.... Unless you used adb dd? :what:
Anyway, I can help more but it's late where I am, need to sleep. Was going to write more but... Need sleep lol. I'll post some questions and check back tomorrow.
Have you used adb before? Do you know if platform-tools is in your environment variables PATH? In other words, can you open up cmd and type adb or do you need to "cd" to platform-tools then use adb? If you know where adb is located? If so, is a file called fastboot in there? (Maby called fastboot.exe)

Yep, I've used adb successfully, and it is set up as an environmental variable. I actually installed FFF and TWRP with the KFU. Problem is I think something else is botched; perhaps it is TWRP itself, since I am unable to mount from TWRP. I'll try again when I get home.

Accidentally erased my stock OS I think. Kindle still rooted and when I turn it on it auto goes to TWRP2.0 after FFF. ADB still working. can I push and flash another ROM or the original stock OS or am I screwed. I did a factory reset instead of going to TWRP like a dork. I can see all the folders and everything from TWRP when I select to flash something.
Mount the sd card from TWRP copy the rom you want then un mount then flash the rom
when you say mount you mean by adb correct --> adb push blah blah rom to kindle unmount then flash using TWRP correct??
You can mount the sd card from within twrp
My kindle won't go into usb mode. when you plug in usb it starts normal with FFF then auto loads TWRP 2.0 how to i load the rom then?
Did you flash a rom already?
I re read your post and you just need to set the boot mode
Use KFU and get your PC to recognize the kindle then set the boot mode to normal
says activating normal (4000) at the top then nothing just the text input blinker???
is there a new KFU am using 9.2
edit after a sec kindle booted on pc to view files --->.> guess u expected that huh. will this work with the stock os software or so i need to put into another folder?
Is KFU recognizing your kindle?
I dont think you erased anything
---------- Post added at 10:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:15 PM ----------
In KFU set the boot mode to normal 4000
it doesn't really do anything and bootmode doesn't change it just sits there saying activating (4000). my pc did recognze my kindle and stock os finally after doing this, but i don't think KFU is.i have stock os which is labled update.zip is in there as well as MIUI. should i try flashing?
you can flash it if you want as long as you have twrp you can pretty much do anything.
sweet thank you for helping bro thought i bricked and screwed up horrible. atl east its just a little funky. next time am going to make sure am not tired or baked next time i try to fix ****. long first day at the college and four hours sleep >.<.
Hello I am having a similar problem as the original poster.
I just got a new kindle and have been playing around with it for a few days. I have had adb working for some time now with updated drivers across the board. Today I decided to apply KFU followed by TWRP. In this process my kindle bricked. This is how it proceeded
1) yellow triangle + TWRP loads but is "empty". KFU fails to recognize kindle.
2) Same as above + PC stopped recognizing kindle only listing it as "Unspecified". (Some hours later after trying various ways to reconnect adb)
3) loss of TWRP --> stuck @ the yellow triangle
Have I totally bricked out? Seems I damaged corrupted the OS or damaged my HD somehow
i asume your in fastboot mode
first fix your drivers by updating the drivers
select manually - the right one for fastboot is "android adb interface" (no composite !)
then
fastboot -i 0x1949 oem idme bootmode 4000
fastboot -i 0x1949 reboot
Can anyone extend some help to a TF300T n00b?

just connect the tablet to a pc and copy the rom to the tablet. I dont rember if windows sees the internal storage. If it dosent linux should or you can install adb and push the file to /sdcard from your computer.
go here and dl the prog:
http://www.google.de/url?sa=t&rct=j...sg=AFQjCNG5sMnAkUGOfTZHgHJLFBARtdiyPg&cad=rja
extract it
boot into tecovery.
open the prog
choose the rom you like and push it to your tablet.
It is not possible to do it when you are in system, cause you cant write anything to the internal space.

I installed the drivers exactly as the guide directed, then tried using regular ADB, which didnt work. So I tried to use the ADB fast push and it didn't work either, under the "information" tab on the fast adb program it says

is this a problem?

If yes, dl the latest. Asus. STOCK, extract the blob, put it in the Fastboot Folder and. Open cmd
cd to the fastboot directory and write
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash system blob
This will flash stock.
Don't give up, when it's not working. Just rewrite and try again and again.

So, much of the stuff in this and other threads has been a tremendous help. I did pretty much exactly what OP did in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1779080.
That thread lead me to this one, as I was having trouble getting my computer to recognize the usb drivers. I was able to finally get ADB to see the tablet, however, when I go to push the stock rom, I get an error message of "Protocol Failure" in cmd.
Any ideas?

While rooting my i9505 i ran into a little issue with adb.
Code:
List of devices attached
8e0fe3ad unauthorized
It didn't effect what i needed to do, but it did raise the question, how do i authorise and get adb access when booted into a ClockworkMOD based recovery?
Anyone know?
It's probably because it needs RSA authentication. You can do it by making sure USB debugging is enabled in developer options and running adb then tick the "always allow from this computer" check box. It then should work in ClockworkMod Recovery.

first be sure that you have latest adb file version installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45698254&postcount=9
when you are booted in os, enable usb debuging, connect your phone, open command prompt in adb folder(look at your phone screen, to allow adb) and type "adb devices"
now you can turn off usb debugging. boot into custom recovery and try the "adb device" command, it should recognize your phone in recovery mode.

I don't think I can do that, because I don't have any zips. I have a factory zip on my PC, and I simply need to get it on the phone. I can't find a image of CWM or TWRP for my Asus ZenPad S 8.0, but I found a script that temporarily flashes some version of CWM recovery to my phone. I have a custom recovery available for use, but now need some way to get my zip to my tablet so I can extract it. That's where I'm stuck. If ADB was authorized, I would just push the file and install it. Here's the options as I see them
1: Authorize RSA via CWM Recovery (Which is why I'm here..)
2: Find a version of CWM or TWRP or some other recovery compatible with my tablet, and try again. Hope it's more updated, and cross my fingers.
3: Use an external microSD card to move the zips. (Doesn't work. E:Can't mount /external_sd/. I tried FAT32 and tried formatting with a different android device which used exFAT. No luck)
4: Somehow fix operating system to approve RSA. (Safe mode failed)
I hate to say it, but I think the tablet may have won this war unless I'm missing something. Thanks for your help though! And Merry Christmas! I'll be over at XDA Assist...
@mikechase3: Some clarification needed here. What device are you trying to restore, and what brand? Your initial post doesn't mention, and your latest mentions an Asus device. If it is Asus, then the help we can provide is going to be limited, since this is a Samsung device forum.

Hey! I didn't realize this was a Samsung Galaxy Forum. Sorry about that. Specifically, I'm referring to my Asus ZenPad S 8.0 CA, and I made a more detailed post over at XDA Assist here if you have time to take a look. Thanks a bunch!
@mikechase3: I can't reply to that thread as XDA frowns on doing so while it is located in XDA Assist, but regarding the MicroSD card, format it as FAT32 in your PC, using SDFormatter from sdcard.org, and then try using the card to load the file. This will be easiest to do if you have a laptop, but can be done on a desktop if you have a card reader.

I figured it out. So I went through the forumn again on this forum. Somewhere, deep down, I saw a little tid-bit that said the sd card had to be less than 32gb. I was using a 64gb card, and that's probably why it didn't work. I also used the tool you recommended, so it could have been that too. I'm extracting the files now, but now I'm getting somewhere. I'll let you know how everything goes once I'm finished.

@Strephon Alkhalikoi I fixed my problem, but it looks like I'm going to be returning it anyways. I was able to install the zips, but now I can't even boot up the device. It's a paperweight. Nothing is showing up on the display. No low-battery or even a boot logo, and I can't even access the bootloader anymore. I'll be returning it as a defective unit (even though I was so close!!!) I'll charge it overnight and see if anything happens, but that's a bummer. Thanks for all of your help and ideas! And Merry Christmas if you celebrate it. :good:
Hi guys I tried to root my LeTV 1 Pro but it didn't worked.
My phone keeps rebooting in fastboot ( I see the penguin 10-15sec and it reboot again and again) or it stays alight with the penguin.
Computer doesn't recognize it.
Thanks.
Try and plug it to your computer then keep power and wol down pressed for like 15 sec: now fastboot should stick and device shouldn't reboot, so you can flash a recovery (TWRP?) and start over with a new ROM.
Thank you for your reply,
It still doesn't work, penguin stays on screen but it's not recognized by computer ( before the brick it was)
I'm not very experienced in rooting btw.
Edit : The recovery.bat in the file X1_X800_TWRP_Recovery2.8.7.0 says "Complete! The device is ready to reboot into Recovery." which I do but it keeps reboot with the pinguin on.
I recieved my phone today and it just wont stay in fastboot mode. I can do anything I want but it just keeps rebooting before I can flash anything. Any suggestions on how I should keep the Phone in Fastboot mode?
You need to install drivers. After that it will not reboot anymore. That worked for me atleast.
What kind of drivers do I need? Please link them to me I have tried a lot of drivers. The thing is that the phone also does not stay in Fastboot mode when not plugged into the PC.

I have downloaded drivers (I think) from https://twrp.me/devices/letvle1pro.html where I also get twrp 3.0.2.0
Btw if you are using Windows you can open Device Manager and there you will see your device and what drivers it has installed (you can always use update drivers function, maybe that will help too).
Here is a little guide how I managed to get twrp:
Just download it (drivers and intall them) (and download twrp also). Place twrp file to the folder where you have your adb installed.
In phone settings go to developer menu (first you need to unlock it) and you need to switch on usb debugging.
Connect phone to the pc via usb.
Open command prompt in your adb folder and type Adb devices (if you have drivers installed corectly you will se your devices connected under some code).
Then just write Adb reboot booloader and phone will restart to the recovery.
Type into the comand prompt: fastboot flash recovery name***.img (where the name is the file name of twrp you have downloaded- just a tip: rename it so it is easier to remember for example to twrp. Then the command will look like: fastboot flash recovery twrp.img)
If succesful, write fastboot reboot and that is all.
Btw for me it did not work first time. I had to load twrp for second time and when I wrote fastboot reboot then I immediately pressed volume up so It went directly to twrp recovery.
Hope it helps. Cheers
