There used to be a way to mod it in the ROM but I don't remember how, and that was back on Froyo so I'm sure it's different in GB. I'm sure one of the more knowledgeable devs on here can offer some insight though

Decompile means to use a program like APK Manager to decompress them into components so you can modify them then you recompile it. Dreamsforgotten has an excellent guide in the stickies of the Themes subforum.

One of the reasons I did the camera post was to help other people figure out how to do these type of mods.
I encourage anyone who wants this mod to tear apart the file and try it themselves.

The full charge popup in itself is an apk, and probably called by some service that listens for full batt status. The low battery notification is embedded WITHIN the camera apk or another apk which requires some haxoring to get rid of it.
Be patient. If adrynalyne says hes working on it, then hes working on it.

That's due to Root Explorer not always controlling/reporting rw status correctly. There's an app in the market "mount /system (rw/ro)" look for it and use it to Mount r/w then use Root Explorer to copy stuff into your /system.
I found this on twitter on a new site:
http://www.mobilesnitch.com/?p=365
They seem to have decompiled and are willing to share any files needed for devs.
Figured I would share.
I follow them on twitter and facebook (Both names are mobilesnitch)
I just got another tweet from them with updated info: Here we go again: We are updating the RIL snitch with more code! http://www.mobilesnitch.com/?p=365

hmm, I'm not a developer, yet, but from my basic coding classes at school I always had the impression that RIL would be written in a low level language like C. Was surprised to find Java in there.
Java can be used. Alot more complex. Not that I can do it.

Its handled in both c/c++ and Java
Libs coded in c/c++, android framework stuff obviously in Java
RIL.Java is certainly *not* all of it. This isn't much of a revelation or anything.

WOW, one little file you say. I haven't done any real world programming and nothing close to the amount of code in that file. But I'm curious, how many programmers do you think were needed to come up with all that code. Also how do you guys go about understanding that many lines of code without documentation ?

Run stock and aosp framework.jar files through dex2jar, use jd-gui to break the .class files into .Java. then compare Documentation is in the aosp git repos.

lol, I'm doing that but they don't teach cool tricks like these. They always want you to write increasingly difficult code from scratch.
But we did do some cool stuff this sem, just implemented a shell in C, before that did Y86 assembly (GAWD!), and have to deliver a normal and a multithreaded merge sort within the next 5 days as the last project of the sem.

Any idea how to do this?
Spare Parts app doesn't seem to do it. I am using CM7 nightlies with stock CM7 kernel. Is there a way to make all fonts smaller? I used the new stock GB for EVO4G and then tried MikG ROM for about a week and got attached to the font size.
Thanks for the help!

Look in the developer section on this site, and find Man's Warm Rom. He has a downloadable (and flashable) font there which is smaller than the stock font.

I have deleted *. tmp before which I understand came from the Gallery app. As far as the *. dat , I have not, but what austin420 said.
As long as you back up those files to your computer, but don't delete them till you have tried all the programs on your phone, then your good. If you realize there is a problem, reload and reboot
Lol thanks, didn't realize the pic was that bad.
