No Hebrew keyboard as well.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
it does now have hebrew on 2.3.5 and 2.3.7 but not arabic!!
Gingerbread has Arabic font but no RTL support. Letters aren't connected, that's why people go to custom roms like cyanogen and miui.
CM7 Nightlies have both font and keyboard for RTL
The solution - if you insist on using stock Nexus S ROM - is to root, deodex, then use the Arabic Univeral Patcher by madmack and brightidea here:
http://blog.devasque.com/?page_id=11
You will get Arabic interface, RTL auto-alignment, and correctly connected characters (the full package except Arabic keyboard).
For the Arabic Gingerbread keyboard (with suggestions), just rip the LatinImeGoogle.apk from the latest Cyanogen nightly and overwrite the one in \system\apps
You might find that you actually prefer SlideIt, SmartKeyboard, GoKeyboard, or some other Arabic-supporting market keyboard.
Another solution is to use the Cyanogen 7.1 RC1 or Nightly ROM as it already supports all of these features (maybe not the Arabic interface, not sure).
2.3.4 brought Hebrew keyboard and interface but..
2.3.6 took the Hebrew keyboard out.
Yet, no dictionary and no RTL support.
I expect full Hebrew support in ICS because Honeycomb does support this
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.moo.android.inputmethod.latin.free
Gingerbread keyboard does solve the problem. but not solves problem of rtl ... expecting of ICS ...
i need Help With That Permanent problem i can read Arabic from left to right
and this is not right its suppose to be from right to left
and whatever its from right or left the letters are Disconnected So Any Help With That it will Be Appreciate it
I Have
Phone : HTC HD2
Rom : MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v. 2.1
Any Help From Lead Developers ?
And Thank You All
Join the club.I posted about this in another thread and got a sarchastic reply to ask Google why MJD's Gingerbread build does not have Arabic support when Arabic support is one of the features and improvements of Gingerbread.
If thats the case forget the mdg build stick to JDMS builds as they PWNS mdj builds (+ they support arabic language ) and they will release gingerbread soon when they finish testing their build unlike others claims everythings works while its the opposite
Will Iam Gonna Try The JDMS Build and Return to you
Is The Support For Reading And writing in Programs And Browsers ???
Reading yes writing no But you need to install any arabic keyboard from market and that will enable you to write in arabic
Its The Best ROM EVER JDMS I LOVE IT
ProBlems = NONE
Its Very Very Nice Now I can read Arabic
Thank You Very Much My Dear Friend

Hello everybody,
I'm searching now for a long time to get a german dictionary for my Hero with CM6.
I followed this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=827593 Link and I love the setup.
But the Gingerbread Keyboard is only working with the english dictionary. Has anyone a link to a german dictionary or any idea to get it done ?
Greetings Max

Hi
I wanted to post this on the development forum but since I have lees than 10 posts, I couldn't. I have been a FroyoBread user all along and have now switched to Ginger DX. Great ROM but I have just one problem.
When I go to Language and Keybaord > Android Keyboard > Input Languages and look for the Persian keyboard (it should be listed as فارسی) I can't find it. I don't how it's possible since as doixahn stated the ROM is based on Racht's HACKDROID and I can swear I used HACKDROID and it does have the Persian language input as an option..
I hope you can fix this because it's so frustrating to write Persian using English characters. And thanks for all the effort. You rock, doixahn.

Maybe I asked the question wrong. The problem is that when I want to add the فارسی keyboard in the Android keyboard setting (Input Languages), there's no such option. What you've attached is the Locale which does include فارسی as an option. Could you possibly report this on the GingerDX thread so that @doixahn can take a look at it?
