NEED TESTERS- Universal DeBlur-DeBloat Script - Milestone 2 General

I'm looking for a testers and feedback on the Universal DeBlur-DeBloat Script. The script is designed to remove Blur and bloat on most Android Motorola phones. All that's required is that you have root.
Since April 1st the script has run successfully on the following devices:
Admiral
Atrix
Droid Pro/XPRT
Electrify
Photon
RAZR CDMA
RAZR GSM

Working fine on my Milestone 2 (Gingerbread UK ROM).

what did really it remove?

The script works in deodex roms.??

Works on deodex as well. The script just complains about not finding the odex file.

It worked well.!!!!! say goodbye MotoBlur.!!!!!
everything went perfect...
Rom: GB Brazil Retail M2L_U6_4.5.2_51-27 (deodex)
Android Version: 2.3.6
free ram after applying the script: 255 mb.
Great job Lokifish Marz.!!!

If you could post your results in the main thread that would be a big help to other motoblur owners. Thanks!

Tks man, it's working!

AlarmClock
Why this script removes AlarmClock? I don't think this is a Blur app.

Just worked fine. No problems or bugs here. Brasil 2.3.6 retail.

i'm very interested to wipe all crapware from my custom gb 2.3.4 rom.
I come from cm9: sbf, wipe all data and reboot.
I've followed the instructions but when had run the .sh script, i get warned that many files are in read only mode. clearly the device were rooted with superoneclick.
After this, i've lost call ability and status bar on top-screen. I'm re-sbfing now but i don't know if i try another run.

worked very fine. motorola milestone 2 brasil 2.3.6 retail.
thx, dude

Followed the instructions, everything looked similar compared to your video - but it fails to boot.
In the middle it just turn black and thats it ....
Trying now to restore previous made Backup.
Europe 2.3.4
Correction : was able in a second attempt using "generic "
Thanks!

Worked fine for me but could not find busybox when first tried, so I downloaded busybox and it ran fine, but Skygo would not display premium channels, it could see phone was rooted, even with Voodoo, but apart from that its OK. Not much difference in performance/batterylife, but I really wanted Skygo to work so I have had to re-flash the original stock rom

Working on stock M3. Saw the thread and decided to try. Tkx!
Rocking with my M3 and XDA app

Notes about rom 2.3.6 retail Br.
Hi.
Just worked fine. No problems or bugs here to. Brasil 2.3.6 retail.
Now i am testing CM9 rom 4.0.4 and everything is fine to this rom.
Thanks for all.

Any problems with Endeless' CM7?
Thx!

Hi,
worked great on Milestone 2 ITA. New life to my phone.
Used Generic profile.
I restored BlurClock, i don't like included one. Do you have some suggestion to alternative clock/wakeup?
Marco

Working on my Milestone 2 with MS2Ginger 4.0 freshly installed.
I just want to point out that I had some issues because apparently the 1deblur_lite folder MUST be on sdcard root. (I previously put that into another folder and it didn't reboot, got stuck on loading animation)
Thanks for the efforts, nice job =)

[ROMs][GPL] Tenzo's Stock "Plain" HTC 2.1 ROMs - 2.37.605.4 w/JulyOTA [10-01-10]
Many of my recent efforts have lead me to take a few steps back in discovering a few things (does that makes sense?). In working on fixes for 3GP Vanilla MMS and the 50% TWS "issue" I have put these together.
Should hopefully help others, especially those new to cooking that want an easy, trouble free base to start with (no "extra fonts" and no "updating" the JulyOTA manually).
EDIT: if you have "issues" with either wired or wireless tether, you can use the apk's attached below. (thanks Conap, bugger561, and T2Noob)
I have built all of these ROMs from the RUU and integrated the JulyOTA. All ROMs are deodexed. Information below:

SORRY BOUT THAT!!!
I have the same problem on Tenzo-Official2.1-JulyOTA-Root.
Why don't you just flash PlainJaneT2 which is total Stock with A2sd, and are able to enable JIT through a2sd with By typing "a2sd jit"
Everything works, on it is pretty fast for a HTC rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=718092
Just wondering Why you made another rom thats already out there...
I didn't mean to take over the thread just curious what the difference between PlainJane and this.
Another question is if you tested wired tether?
Because if you just dropped it in the rom I CAN GUARANTEE that it is not working, thats why I didn't add it to the rom, And If you did get it to work can you tell me how you did it?
If you included SETCPU i suggest you take it off if you don't want to have problems with the SETCPU developer later in the future..... A Member has been kicked because he included apps that developers had told him to get rid of.
This has the newest build of 2.1 by HTC. And wired tether has been updated to work on the Eris and incredible. Plainjane, even though it is older than this and T2 is still better for those who do jot care about JIT or A2SD. I've tried both as well as this and jcase's Rom features the most free memory. I uninstall a lot of stock apps and then add maybe 25-30mb of market apps. Plainjane left new with 95+mb free. This and T2 leave me with roughly 70mb.

this is completely stock... no extra scripts, no extra fonts, no a2sd, etc. it's stock... with july OTA integrated and deodexed. that's all i did. can you point out where the other completely stock ROM with JulyOTA integrated is? If i missed it, i apologize. again... other than not trashing bootloader, recovery, etc, it's as "stock" as it gets. no symlinks changed in update-script, etc. again, this is the only stock ROM w/July OTA integrated that i've seen on the forum. did i miss something? (Official Obsession is close... but that requires you flash over the update. not easy for beginning cooks trying to customize a ROM... and it's not deodexed)
the "other" 2 ROMs are different as well... one is almost stock, with just latest ChainsDD superuser (root) added (no a2sd), with Conap's CFS kernel. the other is the same, with latest a2sd added (which allows the ability to add cache2cache as well).
i've enjoyed PlainJaneT2... and it is still my base for TT2.1. i've given full props to you with links and request even for donations in that thread. if i've upset you, again, i apologize.
also, no "extra" apps (setcpu, etc) are included... i know the rules
i'm not trying to "ruin" any experience for anyone... or step on anyone's toes. i'm just trying to help out and contribute. certainly have never tried to upset anyone on this forum EVER!

one thing you can do with a2sd 2.7.5.1 is run the cache on the cache partition.
adb remount
adb shell
a2sd cachepart
when it's done, it will reboot the ROM. pull the battery and clear dalvik (or else you'll get a few FC's when you reboot).
you can try the above with "a2sd cachepartreset" and it "should" clear dalvik for you... but it hasn't worked well for me

Why use this old 1.2 when the official 1.4 does it cleaner: http://code.google.com/p/android-wired-tether/
Perfect timing on this! My lady is techologically challenged and having a ROM like this is perfect. She kept busting my bawls about not having teeter... Every time I installed it via an APK it would always FC after a bit.
Edit this was on a different rom, so far only issue I've had with this rom is a FC when trying to auto-update google maps.

Original theme does work on 2.2.2 but reboots the phone when volume keys are pressed in landscape mode. I did not change any of the theme elements.
Replaced services.jar from 2.2.2 after changing the clock color to black
Changed the reboot and recovery functions to work with 2.2.2
As stated, all credits to adi4motion for the theme.
It doesn't work for me.... it keeps rebooting like the first version.... I'm running Hypnos#2.... only thing changed is a2sd enabled but I don't think it could be the problem...
Works great here, nessy hypnos2, thanks abhinandh
adi4motion's gingerbread theme only works flawlessly for android version 2.2. 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 need a different framework and things like that to work without crashing(specially the dreaded volume down bug). I can share my version of it if TS would allow(as posting the link immediately would be like hi-jacking this thread IMO, I can't test TS's link as I am still running a 2.2 based rom ATM.).

Sure, here you go:
GB theme for 2.2.1 & 2.2.2
This is a hackish attempt to make the GB theme + power menu work for 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 ROMs. I could probably fix the inverted reboot and shut down power buttons, but that would probably need to wait(for free time).
PS. please use the original link provided when redistributing. Thanks.
@ungaze I can see that you have used 2.2.2's framework to create the theme.
But I have been running adimotion's GB theme on Dookmatt's hypnos (2.2.2) and it works fine. The power menu works well (shutdown, reboot, recovery).
The phone does not crash with vol down keys.
A more specific changelog would be very helpful.
@socialdistortion
Right now, I really don't know why the volume bug appears but at the time we(few 2.2.2/2.2.1 ROM devs) were trying to port themes to 2.2.1/2.2.2(about same time dookmatt released the very first nessy ROM), no one had any idea why we were having the strange volume bug. But through research and testing, we filtered it out and came down to the themes from 2.2, which are incompatible with later android versions. Now by that time, the only ROM out there based on 2.2.2 which has compatible themes was LOL 1.4(since LOL has a large user base through it's Italian site). What I did was took the LOL framework, edited it(merged with adi4motion's) so that it would look like gingerbread and packed it up again as a flashable zip. The result is the above mentioned theme.(and that's why I call it a "hackish attempt")
Now, a lot of people are having problems with a 2.2 theme running on newer android versions but you(and a few guys running hypnos#2) on the other-hand are not having any problems with it. I think the more appropriate question is, "how did you guys make it work?".
I'm really puzzled man. Cooked a few 2.2.2 and 2.2.1 ROMs, tried dookmatt's, tried LOL 1.4, tried kptbotbot's light ROM and each one of them presented errors when flashed with adi4motion's GB theme(all with fresh installed ROM). I hope someone with greater knowledge can enlighten us on this cause I have to say it, I'm out of ideas on this one.

I've not really done anything unusual. Did the usual wipe (everything) and then installed the ROM. Restart. And the install the theme. Everything works.
The only bug is the volume buttons don't interchange on landscape mode but i think it is 2.2.2 bug and not a theme problem.
Maybe the problem has got to do something with wipe. Some AmonRa versions don't wipe correctly and that maybe the problem. I use AmonRa v2.2.1
Try wiping the system with this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11785758&postcount=557
Also I don't have a2sd enabled... if that helps.

I'm pretty sure as to why the volume bug appears. Framework form the adi4motion original theme works perfect even with 2.2.2 but the problem is with services.jar file. Code in services.jar changed between 2.2 -> 2.2.2 and that causes input dispatcher to call a non-existing method leading to a fatal exception when volume keys are pressed in landscape mode.
Take a look at this logcat OP i captured when the volume keys are pressed - https://gist.github.com/966084 (line 4)
What i did in my theme was to replace services.jar with the original one in nessy (After changing the clock color in notification bar to white) and everyting worked perfect.
Hope this helps.
Sorry, double post.
upload some more
Something interesting:
I installed it last week, everything went fine, worked great. In the meantime I had to restore because of some kernel errors and I wanted to reinstall it today. So I flashed it and when I started my phone I got FCs from all the apps and a nice bootloop. Tried to restart it but still nothing. So restore again...
I'm using openOptimus 1.148 & CWM recovery.

what's different? does it have the new lockscreens, or was that 3.0?
I hope this doesn't sound disrespectful at all... I'm just a sceptic. I'm not familiar with your work. This is a legit release, right?

Same lockscreen...unfortunately...there are some differences with the app drawer and pulldown bar that I have noticed so far...I think they botched the camera up in this build though...I am going to pull one from another build and see if I can get it working....You can take pics with the front camera, and video with the back camera, but pictures taken with the back camera don't seem to save...idk.

Pretty well known developer of the Lightning Rom. You can see his work here:

This is 2.1....he was asking about the new lockscreen from Sense 3.0 and got them confused.
Sweet. I've been running vanilla bean while I waited for Gingerbread. Excited now... Your work is great.
Good stuff right here! Charging my phone for some GB action! Thanks a million man.

The original RUU will work but you will lose root if you flash it...

Jcase put that one together so it is safe to say that the one from Android Police works too. He also started a thread here for it (so far only with a link to the Android Police post) with intentions to post everything here too.

B138 Stock Roms available

Just found these on Goapk forums...
U8800 V100R001C00B138SP04CUSTESTC205D001(Esthonia Elisa)
http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwi...00B138SP04CUSTESTC205D001(Esthonia Elisa(.zip
U8800 V100R001C00B138CUSTC18D001(Kenya Safaricom)
http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwi...00R001C00B138CUSTC18D001(Kenya Safaricom).zip
Good. What the difference between b137?
Haven't tested yet, but it should be a few updates and bugfixes
<sigh> NOT Gingerbread, then?
I've already jumped right in and downloaded but something wrong with the transfer coz I have a corrupt zip file here.
Guess it's Oxygen for me rather than another download just for some minor updates.
Hardly any notable changes between the versions. The only updated libs are libhwfotaadapter.so, libjni_latinime.so, and libprojectmenu.so. Rest of the updated files are system apps.
Full comparison between the B137 mongolia rom and B138SP04 Estonia here: http://www.flibblesan.co.uk/report-B137-B138SP04.html
There might be some improvements to the wifi files as they appear to be newer, but I've not tested them.
I can upload a full dump of the system and cust folders if anyone wants them? It's relatively easy to dump the system from the update but I can only seem to extract cust by flashing the update. B138SP04-estonia-elisa-fulldump.rar
B162 for China Unicom is out too http://www.huaweidevice.com/tcpsdow...entName=U8800 V100R001C17B162CUSTC17D001 .rar.
Also here are the boot and system images compare report.
http://simplistian.com/android/boot-B138SP04-B162.html
http://simplistian.com/android/system-B138SP04-B162.html
I don't understand why there are so many lib differences. They should be the same version for China and overseas.
With the B137 to B138 compare can we conclude that B162 updated more libs than B138 from B137?
Hmm strange, so many differences between B162 and B138...I think Huawei is trying to create a totally different Rom version for China...I'll have to test both and see which is more stable (mostly interested in battery drain).
and if could see if the connections are goimg down all the time.
thanks
thanks
may try it .
Tried all of them, they are all 2.2.2 and nothing seems changed on the first view. A few things have changed from the back-end as none of the themes or mods are working anymore...
So just in case anybody wants to try them, circle battery mod won't work...Except that, I can't see any other issues.

My B137 theme is working on my device on the B138SP04 stock ROM. What theme did you try?

Did you restore the app or installed it again?
I've installed simple grey theme, cyanbread theme and circle battery mod on B138 and B162. All these were installed from Clockwork Mod, as every-time I had to restore from backup. Everything force closes after installation of themes/mod, including the radio module as reception was gone.
I used circle battery mod before on stock Roms, but they used to be rooted...Could that be the problem?
b162 rom installed.. root problem this rom. how to root???
not work z4root...
How to root this b162 version?
z4root doesn't work with 2.2.2 and SuperOneClick cannot connect to device. Yes.. checked drivers and tried that debugging on/off trick.

SuperOneClick is proved to be able to root B162.
Dont root it! Why root an official rom? can just copy "dload" folder to internal memory and reboot phone pressing volume keys. Worked for me -.-, or am i missing something?
I have B138 rom and I don't want those pre-installed apps. I tried z4root 1.3, it didn't work. If there's some other way, please tell me.
-e-
Got rid of the default apps, if anyone needs to do the same: http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/huawei_u8800
Check the "Removing without 'rooting'" tutorial.
