It's an attachment, so you won't see it via the xda app.

Looks really cool, but yeah, isnt this a battery-killer?

Any chance this can be ported to legend as well? Tried installing the attachment from this post... Keybord is too big.. Cuts off at "I K M" .. missing O and L ...

How to get Swype on Android

The only thing I like about winmo is Swype, is there an apk file or something so I can use it in android?

There are some downloads floating around for it, but were not supposed post it on xda cause its still in beta and not a public release...so you prob wont get it here. Might get lucky though....

That's not why we're not supposed to post it, it's because it is proprietary software and I think XDA got a C&D on providing it so it's technically considered warez even though you can't buy it.
If you look elsewhere though, you can find it.

I can send you the apk file if you haven't found it yet... It works great on my HD2 Droid

look for the froyostone sense build.
it has swype built in already

I found swype on android to be really really really crap....

I love it on wm though...

I got the BETA APK file and once i installed it it says my trial has ended if you could send me yours that would be great [email protected] is myemail..........

In case anyone else runs into problems, this is what I did:
Ran the .apk - Install didn't work.
Titanium backup of market and updater then uninstalled - Install didn't work.
Ran fix_permissions, rebooted. - Enjoying new market goodness.
*EDIT*
Spoke too soon. FC all up in this piece. - Enjoying humility.
Currently running fix_permissions again.

There's never been a smart dialer on cm. Need to get that by downloading a third party app.

Dialer one is great, which is what I use when I am on cm.. currently on virus my touch 4g which is awesome by the way

Nah all CM builds have came with the bland dialer. Dialer one is what I use. Other ppl have mentioned that they go into the dialer and bring up the search button.

I second this motion. Go apps are phenomenal. I used to use them with CM7 until I realized that everything I wanted my phone to be via the GO apps was what MIUI provides stock

Trouble receiving text

I recently flashed to miui from shooter e3d, I could not receive any text but could still send and the other person would receive. I thought it was a problem with miui so tried a different version it was a no-good. So I flashed evo on decks gingerbread rom. The problem still occurs.. what can I do to fix this?

get ghostly sms from the market. this bug is a gingerbread issue not a rom issue, i have yet to have that problem but i got the app just incase. hope this helps

Weird. Never experienced the issue before and I have been running gingerbread. Had to switch back 2 my epic as I can't go without receiving text. Will try that after work tonight thanks.

i would just try a different sms like go sms.

i had a prob like that on handcent but it was only with mms. then i tried go sms and it worked
