There is no problem to take xrays while the phone is tuned on.

But I don't see little green robots.

What you see in the first picture is:
the back camera in the middle of the picture
the front camera in the upper part of the picture (left)
the jack plug in the right-upper part
In the second picture you can see the metallic Samsung Logo from the back of the case, the speaker on the right upper side and the USB plug.

Diagnostic result shows that the android species is suffering cancer caused by radiation and with the possibility of changes in the genetic mutation.

the first ever android dr lol...dont u have any patients to deal with???
what's the cost of ma gs2's MRI?...lol...(just kidding...)

will u tell us that how to this please

Try bombarding your phone with X-Rays, maybe it'll grow a third core!

This is really cool.
I would love to have more like those as wallpapers for my monitors.

Actually, top left, first image is the earpiece speaker, not the front camera, that is waaaay off to the left.
Nice job though, nice to see xrays of this thing.

That's what i thought too... OP, deliver Highres!

Are you able to provide the full picture of the phone rather than just a small part of it?

Did you cover its genitalia so it can still have little Android babies with our devices?
Seriously nice pictures!

[CLOSED/G2] Teardown

Here we go
Well best of luck and I WILL be keeping up with this !!!
Subscribing lol
holy crap, already? Subscribed...
would love it if you could check to see if you see the nand chip (probably a square flat pc, soldered on one of the boards) and if it sez "SEM04G" or "SEM02G" on it
that would resolve the issue on internal memory
also if you can take a shot of what is serving as a spring on the Z hinge -
tks in advance and definitely subscribed
Wow, OK.

not necessarily - in fact I believe there has to be a spring employed - take your phone, hold it so either end is facing straight down (not one of the long edges down) -
then open the screen all the way, start to bring it back like you're closing it, and about 1/3rd of the way from full open, a spring brings it across the center point and nearly to the 1/3rd from fully closed position. No gravity in effect there -
probably isn't much of a spring, but it doesn't need much - a flat strip of plastic that the end of the hinge rubs against and bows out as the screen travels toward the center of it's open/close arc. at the center of that arc would be the max point of bow.
there's another way to do it, but with the limitation in depth, that's how i suspect their doing it - i could be wrong on the 'how' part, but there is a spring capturing energy from the screen as you open it - as the above demo proves
Well, if we can get proof that it's not a 4GB chip like T-Mobile's claiming, they won't be able to refuse returns/exchanges.

Pretty sure the design is based on pendulum swing.
Salute for this astonishing attempt
One hinge is easy the other is not. The one up with the copper strip (which must be pealed to reveal another screw) is a *****. The mobo is very thin. Will try again tomorrow after I have fun upgrading vCenter servers at work.

I agree with this but to me it looks like maybe small pieces of broken plastic or glass between the lens.. the only way to remove this would be to open the phone and clean it out, I wouldn't recommend doing this yourself though.. maybe try to contact your local HTC repair centre and see if they would be able to do this for you.
@ronalgps: sounds like you have maybe dislodged the camera or broken the connection in some way from the fall.. as I said above try to contact your local HTC repair centre and see if they can fix this for you.

like I said.. sounds like something is in between the lens so depending on how much you move the phone maybe they move out of place for a while.

After using Samsung Galaxy S II for more than a week, I wrote a detailed Review.

Hi People. So.. I got a SGS2 about a week back. Though I've owned other android phones as well, But Galaxy S II is so incredible that it tempted me to write my first review.
My Review in Bullet Style™
It's little long, but I made it in points so that is looks short and is easy to read. Also, photos aren't of very high quality, thanks to my ****ty camera.
Also, Please don't consider it as a shameless self-posting, it's my first review so Would like to have your views on it?
great review, did you notice any yellow screen issues with it ? or anything otherwise , i believe there are some bad batches out there.
It IS a shameless self-promotion, technically speaking.
You review summary:
THE BAD
Not powerful enough speakers.
No dedicated camera button.
Click to collapse
I only got one speaker on my SGS2. Those TWO horizontal gaps in the lower right corner of the back side actually lead to ONE speaker.
The battery life image (attached) with "1d 10h 18m 36s on battery" - do you realize that image shows your phone was partially charged multiple times during that period?
Otherwise the review is great, congrats.

And about that battery screenshot? Yeah I know that, I had plugged my phone to pc in between as well. But you see, I haven't written anywhere that the screenshot is of my battery usage without any charge in b/w. i actually didn't have any othr screenshot.

Double posted by mistake.
I haven;t gone through the whole review but it's pretty neat and well desgined.
Just a correction. I noticed you mentioned the Galaxy S II as the only phone with a 2 Megapixel front camera. It's not correct. The LG Optimus Black also has that.
At a first glance, it looks like the body is inspired by iPhone. The home button in bottom middle this resemblance stronger.

Have spot on camera but noting visible on lense

I just noticed when taking a picture with a beige background that I have a sort of smudge looking spot.
I cleaned of the lens area and visually it is spotless. There aren't any scratches either.
Is this a defect or does everyone else see this as well?
See the attached picture. The smudge is in the left.
I never noticed it before as it's faint enough to not show up against darker backgrounds.
I definately do not have something like that, so most likely faulty camera, the best way would be to exchange the phone.

It just looks like they might of had a spec of dust or something go in when they put the phone together. I would take it back and ask for a replacement, if they argue saying they dont see it then complain. If not and they are being fuddy duddies, either do it yourself (if you know what you are doing) or water damage it and send it off for insurance (I know, I know, not a good thing to do) but... if they are incapable of being decent, then you have to do what you have to do.
Good luck. I love my photography, and that would get on my tits. lol

Iv got exactly the same issue with my camera. It looks identical to yours but I have it in the top left corner. Not sure if it's worth exchanging for a new one just because it might be branded and SIM locked this time.

Well when I take a picture in portrait mode like yours is, they're actually pretty close in position. Mine appears more in the top center than yours does though.
The first picture was landscape.
A bit more than a coincidence?? Not the end of the world but I certainly don't expect that from a flag ship device. Think I'll wait until I get a scratch on the screen or something before I go for this exchange.

Xperia Z1 drop test

Post if you have done the same.
Disclaimer: Not for faint heart. Do not try this..
It hurts bruh!!
If you are thinking of doing this, wait for the killer at the end...glad to know I will have a nice looking paperweight if I drop it 3 times
But nice find.
But I'm really impressed with the vertical drop, where the speakers landed first. I expected the chassis to be filled with dents and holes from the rough surface. But damn our phones are sturdy man!
"Post if you have done the same"
Seriously, who in their right mind would do this on purpose to this piece of beauty
I'm actually surprised it holds so well (well, except for not working afterwards anymore hehe).

Of course the video has been edited, shots from different angles have been put into one video... not all footage is equally interesting. But edited does not mean fake... I at least don't see any reason to believe this would be fake.

Anyway he could show us in a wide angle how the phone fall from his hands and how the phone hit the ground then turn it on.

I don't like that video. As have been told, they didn't record it straight without video cutting also they didn't show if it works between falls, they didn't try to call if problem is only with display. If I want to guess what is wrong with that device I would rather say that only ribbon cable don't have good connection than device is broken.
You should understand guys that these people are sponsored. They might be getting so much from apple or sammy or lg, or even nokia. They need to make the competition look bad so that people would look the other way around. Sometimes they use these kinds of diversion "Oh I'm really surprised that the phone is holding up so well. The screen might be broken, chassis is junk, back plate/plastic/glass is also broken, but on the lighter side the phone still works flawlessly." ORR "This phone works quite well, but I just can't accept the fact that the loudspeaker isn't good enough."
About the loudspeaker diversion, they're just looking for something negative for their closing remarks. Because that's what usually sticks to people, the closing remarks.
Well, and one should always remember that one instance is no guarantee for other instances...
In these drop tests it can matter quite a bit if the angle in which the phone hits the pavement is just that bit off, or whatever other random influence. It is just AN indication, some ppl drop their phone once and it's immediately shattered. Others drop the same phone 10 times wth only minor dents as a result.
But my response was mainly because people shout "FAKE" or "PHOTOSHOPPED" at just about every video or picture posted on the internet, it was nothing personal @gm007

SEVERAL TIMES? Dude, no offense, but are you retarded? after the first time, did you not think to yourself "maybe this isnt the best place to put the phone"?
And for the people saying about being fake? what? why would it be? a) the unit was probably free from sony anyway.. if not then b) the views they get on youtube for that video most likely pays for the cost of the phone. and c) they do this drop test with most of the phones they review. so remind me again why this could be fake?
The reason they didn't show the phone working after each drop, is probably coz it broke after the first drop, which meant that there was no point in carrying on with the drop test. And they wanted to carry on with the drop tests. That's all!! Stop with the bribing nonsense.
