Does anyone know of an LED notification app that works on stock 2.3.4?
"LED me know" used to work very nicely in compatibility mode. But sadly it has not worked for a long time now. I tried "Light Flow Lite" but it doesn't look like it working either.

It didn't work for me. Plus it looks like from all the reviews for Desire Z or G2 no one else got it to work. It does look like a great app.
Don't quote me on this but.... "I think" you need root access for custom led notifications on GB

Hm. Sorry about that - I recall that it worked for me on stock. Must be wrong though - it does work great on G-Lite! I just wanted it to flash green for text messages.
I wish that the G2 could flash all different colors like the G1 led! Oh well. Just darkish red-orange, orange, and green.
I've been looking into this for a while. From what I gather, HTC disabled the custom LED setting in 2.3.4. Not sure why but it seems like you need root to make any of these apps work.

I thought this was going to be lame like the Galaxy S launcher, but it actually looks pretty cool. I might try this out if someone gets it stable.

I don't think I'll try this though, I'd love it if launcher pro did this, but there are things about launcher pro that I like, and won't give up for it.
Tried on HTC Incredible running virtuous rom.
And... This is amazing. This is my new default home.
Only 2 problems so far and both are not important.
1. if you try to use the picture frame the phone freezes. - no big deal just don't use it.
2. If you are in lg home and select it on the home launcher it will force close. - this is not a big deal either because if you are in the lg home why would you select it
Edit. Uninstalled this. Two big problems. Pressing home force closes. And randomly when browsing photos phone will freeze

I installed on my vibrant and so far is running great , I love it!
How do you install it ? Just flash both files one at the time? I have a desire with modaco rom

You can place the apk on your phone from your computer and open it on your phone click on it to install.
By the way it works great on my Samsung Galaxy S I9000
Can I run these widgets in Launcher Pro?
Just did a quick test, and yes, not sure how stable they are, just switched to Launcher Pro, selected them and that was it.
Tested on Nexus One and works like the TS said, only force close when using the Home button but after force close everything works again. Pretty strange but I'm sure it can be fixed. Looks like one of the best launchers I've tried tough.
Works great on Galaxy S i9000 running froyo jpc. LG has done a neat job..

on my x10i doesn't work too, probably it is for android 2.0 or higher versions
How can i get this application (soved.eu/Torch.apk) to work on Android 2.1 (Rooted)?? It's CyanogenMod's Torch app.
I think you may try downloading a different one from the Market.

doesn't the stock rom have a torch app that's pretty much the same? but anyways if you're rooted, there are quite a few torch apps that use the phone's led.
Yes, the stock rom does have an Torch application, but with the CyanogenMod's Torch's application the flash light is almost 4 time's brighter.

I've tried three ROMs now, enabling and disabling the pulse notification setting, tried adding custom application rules as well as using various LED altering apps such as Light Flow and tinkering with the settings in them but I can't seem to get the notification LED to change to any other color than white.
Is there something that I'm missing? Do I have to flash something in order for this to work properly? The ROMs I've tried are Orca, Avatar, and Paranoidandroid. I didn't think to test this on stock beforehand as I figured it'd be relatively simple to get set up.
I am using the TWRP recovery if that matters at all.

I would say it is a hardware issue. Did you have the same issue with stock rom? If so, definitely hardware.

Just flashed Ele and Carbon with a different gapps zip, working well now. Looks like my gapps zip from PA was breaking it some how. Odd, glad it works though.

I've seen some tutorials here about how to control the led bar with terminal but i have something easier for you.
There is 2 Apps to control the bar. I will try to make them better and try to add another features but i dont know when it will happen.
One of this app is based on sony illumination API but the thing is that you can turn on 3 leds at the same time with the same color. Maybe i dont know how to use it but i dont know how to change color of each led separately. You can turn on Pulse Effect here.
Second app is basen on DooMLoRD tutorial (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439651) and here you can change color of each led and thats the only thing that this app is doing.
Yeah i know that this apps are so simple but maybe someone will have some fun while using them

Firstly i think youve got the icon for the two different app in the zip mixed up and secondly how to use the the app that changes the leds individually for more other than just to see it can be done
Xperia U Illumination Bar.
Hi there,
I was wondering if any off you could make an app that lets you control the sequence of the illumination bar and make it pulse with the music my phone is an xperia u not rooted or anything its got the official ICS i wish anyone could make an app with music pulse ive been searching for one for a long time hopping for good news.

It's not possible without root.
Also, you are in the wrong section of the forum. Questions about U are probably better answered in the Xperia U forums
@rundgong is it possible to turn on illumination bar when in certain apps? e.g if I set color to yellow for temple run, every time I launch temple run the illumination bar stays on with yellow glow and when I switch to hangouts it starts glowing green? (would love to set colors for different apps, I mean we have this huge illumination bar so why not make it shine through out the ui? why use it just for notification and not fun )
btw using your illumination bar pro app and I must say it is money-well-spend

It's not possible to do it properly I think. There is no easy way of knowing what app is currently running.
By using AccesibilityEvents you can probably find out some info about when an app is brought to the front. With that info you can maybe do something that kind of works, but not really.
But I'm not sure about that.
The best thing about this app is that it works without Rooting also :laugh:

I think u can do something. I like pulses but on your apps I can pulse 3 different collor, so maybe first u make it...

Yes there is one just modify a launcher that reacts different, depending on which App is opened. Or just checkout these ways on StackOverflow.
My HTC 10 received Nougat OTA update a few days ago and everything is great, no problems at all, it feels even faster and smoother. Some users reported problems with wifi, my connection is now much, much better and faster, on my home network AND at work.
There's just one really small detail that drives me crazy. I have dark theme installed and everything IS dark as it was on MM, except phone dailer. Even dailer itself is dark but when calling it goes white and that wasn't the case in MM, that screen was dark too. Any idea?
I reinstalled the theme, tried other themes and it's all the same.
European (Croatia) unlocked, as it is, not rooted.

Dialler uses a different apk now when in a call (InCallUI.apk), so I guess HTC have to update their theme engine you theme this as well.
Of course, if you're running a custom ROM, then you can use a themed InCallUI.

Yes, I have the HTC Bolt, which came with 7.0 Nougat outta the box, and changing dialer color doesn't quite work how its supposed to, so I think HTC haven't quite updated it yet as not many of their devices have nougat yet...
If you happen to use the online theme maker of HTC, then you would know the caller background was default as dark.
It could be the nougat update changed the default setting.
What you can do is to go the online theme maker, build a dark one for yourself to see if it works. It could be that the designer just left the setting as default, which is white (bright).
I love bright ones so all the themes I made are forced into bright caller background.
That change came with nougat and, yes, I did make new theme in theme maker and it's all the same - everything is dark as it should be and as it was in MM except that one (InDail) screen. It looks like change have to be made in Theme maker itself...
I have the same problem. Having created a personal theme in Maker Pro, the In Call screen remains as the default, and hasn't changed with my theme. When previewing the theme on the website, the In Call screen shows correctly with my theme, but it doesn't show on the phone (HTC M9 and HTC 10). If anyone has any updates on this, it would be appreciated.

To fix Google Play just turn your phone off for 2 to 5mins turn back on and it should work.
