Thanks to mkasick for making kexec possible on the Epic 4G, an to DRockstar for CWM5, and to bickman2k for testing the zip(ps, it works)
Downloads:
http://epiccm.blogspot.com/2012/04/el30-to-fc09-cwm-zip.html
Instructions:
For BML:
Flash the zip in CWM if you just want to update your modem while on BML and with the EL30 modem. As long as you have the EL30 modem already and are on BML partition you will not lose any data or root.
For MTD:
CM7 nightlies, CM9, and any other MTD kexec supported kernels which is just about all. Go to the following post, then come back here for the modem flashable, and flash my zip in the BML CWM:
http://epiccm.blogspot.com/2012/01/boot-cwm5-bml-from-sdcard-no-flash.html
For those on FB15 Rom or Modem, you need to go to EL30. Rodderik has the stock tar and modem here:
http://epiccm.blogspot.com/2012/02/el30-factory-firmware-image.html
And Odin 1.85:

Modem is still new, so how it works is still largely unknown. Best way to find out is to try it. Make sure to follow instructions carefully.

I bet they stopped modem development after EL30. Wasn't messing with the modem what contributed to random reboots on the leaks? They probably feel they got it as best as they could and the delta changes the baseband number.

The requirement will be having a kexec-patched kernel installed to flash. Right now that means an EC05-based ROM in flash, and I think the only patched kernel right now is the test kernel I posted in the kexec thread, which is RFS only.
CM7 will be fully on the SD card, including both the ROM and kernel. It will be booted from EC05 recovery by applying an update.zip.
Never ran srf but that'll be awesome, the cm7 is looking great too so can't wait to see what it all looks lik

These are the CDMA/LTE radios for ICS on the Thunderbolt.
You need these to run any ICS rom for the Thunderbolt which uses the Official base.

Im a noob. I don't know these things, thats why I ask. =)
I just loaded these up, so far so good.
I don't have access to 4G in the building I'm in, but I seem to be pulling 3G just fine. Despite this, twisted's rom is reporting 1x now... weird. I'm sure it's just being reported wrong, as the speeds are as good (or better) than usual.
EDIT: after a (self-performed) reboot or two, the signal indicators are now being reported properly.
Thanks. Installed on ICY-S 8.5RC4 by MaceksMod. :good:
Only ever get 2 bars on LTE at my house and hitting 6Mbps with Speedtest app.

Not really "AOSP desensed" as that implies that you are removing Sense and coming out with an AOSP ROM. AOSP, yes, but not desensed. But yeah, I'd love to see what happens with it on AOSP myself, even though I just switched off my TB.
