[Q] Laptop broke now how do i connect my HD2 NAND via WMDC with ANOTHER computer?

Hey guys, I wanted to install a new theme for my ROM (HyperDroid GBX) so I transfered my theme.zip file to my SD card but when I tried going to CWM 1.3, MAGLDR 1.13 freezes at GO GO GO! and doesn't boot into CWM and so I wanted to flash back to Windows Mobile and start from scratch... but the problem is my laptop (Vista) that I use to flash and has all the HD2 NAND files BROKE [hard drive went kaapoot ] I recently got a desktop with Windows 7 Ultimate but I have no idea how to connect WMDC via USB while I'm on Android so I can flash and stuff... any ideas how to fix this problem? thanks in advance

sorry for late reply but thanks for the reply and I havent really tried it yet... do you have any idea why MAGLDR wont boot up CWM? is it MAGLDR or CWM that is having the problem? The phone boots up and runs smoothly its just that part of going into CWM is the problem, maybe you could help me a bit so it'll save me the trouble of re-doing EVERYTHING lol.... thank you again

Connect your phone to the PC via USB and restart your phone (you can also use the soft reset button under the battery cover) and hold the down volume while restarting which will boot you into the tri-colored bootloader.
Wait for the message USB down the bottom of the bootloader and then you will have a connection and flash as normal.
If you need to get into CWR you first need to hold down the power button until the MGLDR menu items appears then use the volume key to go to option 8 to boot into CWR.

Boot into MAGLDR by holding down the end/power button. Once MAGLDR is booted up scroll to option #5 USB Flasher and connect your HD2 to your computer via USB and reflash CWM. Sounds like CWM got corrupted some how, re flashing CWM is the only way to fish it.

I cant connect it by HTC sync neither... my ROM has to have HTC sense in able to connect via HTC sync

i just put on nand rom for the first time, and i want to re-do it with american android, but when i try running magldr 1.13, it says usb not connected and i cant get past this to flash american android, any answers for this plz, ty much, error :260:

can you give us pls some more input on what you are doing exactly? Where does it get stucked, when you boot it or do you select something from the menu and then the problem with no usb connected occurs?

well when i go into magldr and try to get it to go into usb flash, so i can flash american android, it opens and i check the boxes and click next, then it scans for the usb, but it wont bring up an error, and it tells me to make sure my usb is connected and it is connected already???? im a noob at this so i cant explain to much into what im doing wrong, im just going by the steps ive read, i have android on it and it works just great, but i want a dif rom, not the stock rom i found.

when you choose usb flasher do you see:usb flasher......usb
i think americandroid is using daf method.so right click on aca.exe and run as administror.
be sure you downloded mgldr version of it (not clk)

when i try running magldr it says error and it wont run magldr, and usb is connected, but it says it isnt...?

plz can anyone tell me what im doing wrong??? im running magldr and my hd2 is connected, but when i check the boxes in magldr and click next it looks for my pda, then says error 260 and make sure cradle/cable is plugged into pc, and it is, and it wont go into magldr so i can click usb flash drive...???

ok last night i did my first nand on my nd2, i ran the hspl, then i ran the magldr 1.13, then i scrolled down to usb flasher, then i ran the rom that the youtube link gave me, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvS4EvS0PAw then it all worked, i had android on my phone, but i dont want the rom in the youtube link, i want one from this forum american android, and i was wondering, when i go to run magldr on my nand android i flashed, it tells me error and that to check if my phone is connected, and im just trying to do what i did in the youtube video but with a dif rom, but it wont work from android, it did just fine on wm 6.5, and my phone is connected to the usb, but it tells me it isnt, but i can still transfer music and other things, but when i go to run magldr it tells me my phone isnt connected, so i cant get into magldr and scroll down to flash usb and use the rom i want to use from this site, better? plz help thanks much.

in order to go into mgldr menu power off the phone.then power on but hold down the power key until mgldr menu comes. its not necessary to reload mgldr for each rom.if you installed it to your phone now it is in it.

i left it alone, and i powered off and tried turning it back on this morning when i woke up, and it powers on and then stops on quietly briliant, it wont even go into android now, is there any way i can go back to wm 6.5? or make my phone work again? when i go into magldr in usb flasher mode and try flashing a new rom, it tells me an error has occurred, error descriptio: USB init failed info: \rspl\rspl.cpp 736??? now my phone doesnt work at all... :<

try wiping the phone with task29, then loading the MAGLDR or cLK / which ever nand/rom you want to use. Hopefully this works for you....

you mustn't flash new roms in mgldr-usb flasher mod.
1)just put rom.zip into sd
2)go to mgldr-ad recovery-install zip from sd-choose zip from sd-find rom in the list and choose with call button.after installation is completed reboot.

when i go into ad recovery it says no boot source???

Then you have to install cwm first.

I have had a similar problem with my phone and what worked for me was disconnecting the usb cable and plugging it back in. then it seen it as usb and i was able to flash the ROM. i know it seems rather simple but this small fix might work for you as it did for me.
if you can install cwm i would highly suggest to do that and also looking into the hd2 toolkit as someone else as already pointed out.

can anyone help me? i tried to change my phone to lower rom version like was said needs to be installed on phone and needed to install windows mobile 7 on the htc hd2 phone and it keeps going to rom installation failure screen and rom installation recovery why wont it work help what do i need to do also it was the dark forces team rom update utility.

Can you be more specific about what ROM you are trying to install, and how you tried to install it? Also, do you have HSPL amd MAGDLR installed on your phone?
If you can provide more specific details it will be easier to understand what is happening with your phone.

ok thanks its the madglr rom to set up the phone for next step in installing wm7 on the htc hd2 its the custom ruu version 2.15 for install on phone and its not going through

From your description it is quite hard to understand what your are attempting to do. My guess is that you are trying to install a Windows Mobile ROM before installing WP7. If that is the case, then you should be installing the Windows Mobile ROM when you are at the tri-colored bootloader screen. Turn on your phone with the volume down key pressed to get to this screen. Connect your phone to your computer, wait til you see "Serial" change to" USB" and flash your HD2 with the desired Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM

Are going into the MAGDLR screen options when booting and choosing option 5 USB Flasher before connecting your phone to the computer? Also what version of HSPL are you using? WP7 doesn’t support HSPL3.03/OSPL3.03. You need to select HSPL2.08 to run WP7 and MAGLDR.

im not seeing that screen and options for option 5 usb flasher im getting the rom update utility screen on my pc its 3.27.4.0 version madglr

You must install MAGDLR on your phone before you can flash WP7. When it is installed on your phone, hold the power button when you see the MAGDLR screen while booting the phone, and then you can choose option 5.

i tried doing the install of madglr on phone and it keeps failing it wont update phone it goes into the update recovery screen and says to unplug from pc etc

Hmm, did you install HSPL2.08 on your phone before trying to install MAGDLR?

Try changing USB ports on your computer, you might have a hardware driver problem. Also, use a USB port on your computer, not on a hub.

Okay, I have to get offline soon, so good luck. Check device manager on your computer to make sure the driver is installed correctly.

ok tried that and got the same thing i tried a 3rd port on my pc the device driver installed properly it said and still got the same thing dont understand whats happening and it seems in videos i saw on different sites it happens easy for them i dont get why it wont work for me??

Perhaps others may have an idea. On my T-Mobile HTC HD2 everything installs easily

Hello, I have an hd2 Europe edition and I could not get to flash magldr v1.13 when I press DAF. exe, it says "Readme.txt for this release is missing" so i could not get to continue on installing magldr.(that's when I get to USB Flasher mode).
So I wish to install AndroPlus Android software on my HD2 device
Please help!

Try connecting your phone to the back of your PC in one of the USB ports. Do not use the front ones.
Then when you run the Update utility right click on it and RUN as Administrator.
Hope that works.

@ OP, what exactly are you trying to do? From what I understand, you already have MAGLDR and you're trying to flash MAGLDR again? There isn't any point to that, from here onwards the steps are to flash CWM with the right partition, then your desired ROM. Follow this guide.

Copy Pasting the half of the first post doesn't help us finding out what the problem is, Respect the people who spend time helping you out without getting anything!
So, Here is what you did:
You HSPL'd your device,
Installed Magldr,
Booted the device and pressed "USB Flasher"
Connected device to the pc, and tried to install the software but got a readme error?
Well I have that sometimes, but I just can go further.. Very strange.

Make sure to sync your fone with activesync for windows xp or windows mobile device in windows vista or 7. u cant flash MAGLDR without syncing your fone

not accurate.
The word 'sync' makes people think you have to actually get a connection to activesync/wmdc the program,,,,,, you don't.
put the phone into bootloader (stripey screen) connect usb, when serial becomes usb, thats an activesync connection and you can flash. activesync teh program will not show a connection when you do this. the line ''get an activesync connection'' has been confusing people for years.

cwm problem

when i try to instal it ,it wont do it via usb ive flashed hspl 2.08 and the right radio then magldr but cant get any further im not to sure if im doing it right as when i go to option 8 it says no boot devs

after installing magldr, how are you flashing cwm? phone is in 'usb flasher' not bootloader, right? you need to give details of your process to get any help.

ive tryd both the usb just sits doing nothing then it times out with a error and if i do it via the boot loader when the phone boots it just loads white writhing and wont go back to magldr

theres a leoimg.nbh on the sd card.

If I am not mistaken only clk uses the Google Android drivers for USB connection. I think MAGLDR actually uses the drivers that are in Active Sync/WMDC. Plus when you use USB flasher I think MAGLDR actually auto installs the drivers that DFT included with MAGLDR. you may have to delete the drivers and let them re install.
