Hi there, need you guys to confirm me something: i had Android on my Htc HD2 but i need to send it to warranty. I've installed Windows mobile from HTC site (didnt ask for serial number is it normal?), put SPL 3.03.0000 and radio 2.15.50.14 Do i need anything else? Just need confirmations so i can send it today
After reverting back to Stock - nope. Stock SPL, stock ROM. Which carrier do you use? Use the ROM and SPL that comes from that carrier
I have the normal HD2 (not the T-Mobile version). I didn't understand pretty well your answer. So what i have to do different from what it is now so it can go to warranty?

So the main thing is: Different carriers use different ROM versions. For example there might be different Sense versions. If you can find out with which Sense version your HD2 was shipped that'd be better - I think

Hi,can anyone please tell me that can i use QMAT to flash T-mobile USA 2.10 Stock ROM to my HD2 T-mobile USA phone ?bacause i'm facing an issue just like this guy does from this thread(sorry,i cannot give u the link because i'm a new user)= HTC Leo:HD2 > HD2 ROM Development > (Solved) Bad Flash or What? HD2 bricked!!.I've tried everything like this guy does and my last choice to flash T-mobile USA 2.10 Stock ROM to my HD2 T-mobile USA mobile phone via QMAT.Thanks
p.s. i have another htc hd2 and i've flashed it with custom rom with HSPL Without any problem.
Have you tried going to bootlaoder?
Never seen QMAT before but i did search it, maybe using jtag with it
QMAt is a goldcard if i'm not mistaken.Yes, i've tried everything.
QMAT is farrrr more than a goldcard, it can create goldcards, yes, (but only supports HD2 in the paid version) however with hspl and/or stock roms there should be no need at all for goldcard (though i havent read the thread you linked to)
I've tried to flash my hd with and without hspl but stuck at 9% like this guy does from this thread= HTC Leo:HD2 > HD2 ROM Development > (Solved) Bad Flash or What? HD2 bricked!!.I've tried everything but i get the same result.I've flashed two of my hd2 with custom rom without any problem at all.So my last chance is to flash my hd using goldcard. Is it safe to flash my hd with goldcard and does goldcard support my T-Mobile HD2 USA?

sure does. You will need to buy qmat, and you will also need a working win mo phone to get the cards unigue serial, unless you are lucky enough to have a card reader that ISN'T connected to a USB header. (Some laptops are like this, many arent)
will this void my t-mobile hd2 warranty?
do i need Hspl or not to flash the stock rom using qmat.Or do i use hspl only when i flash custom rom like normal.
how could it? if it works, it will be a stock rom, so no problem there.
The goldcard itsel;f leaves no trace that it has been there, , think of it as HSPL on a card, except that with the real hspl it leaves itself on your phone, with goldcard it doesnt.
Hey Guys,i totally appreciated ur help but i've decided to send my T-mobile hd2 to Htc Care Center in Taipei,Taiwan and they chrged me for only 9USD!!! to change the device MOBO.The phone is now with me and it works fine.
Gud Nooze Indeed. grats.
Moved as not ROM Development.
I want to flash my HD2 but I am not sure if the simlock will cause any problems. I did some searching but i only find discussions about unlock your phone with a flash.
(Before somebody asks, I know, that a flash and a cooked rom will not unlock your phone.)
The most useful post i found is posted in the samsung forum: klick
It only refers to Galaxy S, but this might not apply for HTC HD2.
Could you tell me please: would cause a flash of simlock phones any problems (brick etc.)? I am referring to smartphones generally and my HD2 especially .
Thank you for your time and effort!
No problem at all, you can flash what you want.
Before flashing, it could be a good idea to check which stock ROM is on your device, in case you would have to go back for service issues. I don´t know what your HD2 from "3" comes with, I think I have seen in another thread that it is the HTC stock ROM - but with simlock, as you mention.
The only thing you might miss (don´t know if this applies to you) are sometimes some operator specific apps, or some pre-settings - especially for large operators which offer many different contract options.
But: At least basic settings for most operators in each country are existing in stock and custom ROMs. In the worst case, you´d have to make some settings manually.

Thank you for your answer. My HD2 comes with following software specifications:
OS-Version: 5.2.21869 (21869.5.0.82) / WM 6.5 Pro
Manila-Version: 2.5.19211619.0
ROM-Version: 1.66.407.1 (76641) GER
ROM-Date: 01/11/10
Radio-Version: 2.07.51.22_2
Protocoll-Version: 15.32.50.07U
The HTC download should be _HTC HD2_RUU_Leo_HTC_GER_1.66.407.1_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship.exe
As far as I know this is the official stock rom and not branded. In my opinion there should not be any specific apps or pre-settings.
My phone is only simlock but not branded.
Yes, the ROM you mention is exactly the one you should/could flash in case you would have to send your HD2 to a service center.
I myself keep exactly this ROM as a copy on my harddisk... you never know.
Happy flashing then!
.51 ratio, no good to flash. better get a .50

I am sorry but I do not know what you mean with your post. What is . 51 ratio? Are you referring to the radion-version, which is instalt on my phone?
If yes, I have already flashed the lastest radio-rom on my phone. As far as I can remeber it's version is 2. 15.

Um....HD2?
He means like what type of hd2....
There are mainly two types of HD2's, EU and TMOUS, with EU meaning a european hd2, whilst TMOUS, a t-mobile USA branded HD2.
Reason being you can't flash a EU stock rom with a TMOUS stock rom or you will brick your device, and vice versa for TMOUS.

Which telephone provider did you get your phone from? For example: T-Mobile, Telstra, etc.

You can do tbis two ways. One uou can flash the official ROM for your HD2 via SD card and it will make you completely stock or you can use HSPL 4 to revert back to your original SPL. I suggest just flashing the ROM via SD myself as then hou will have no worries.
Here is a link to learn how to flash via SD card:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=681317
Here is a link to HASPL 4:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5279236&postcount=4
thanks T-macgnolia I am gonna try it and let you know
T-mobile Netherlands. I have read today the release notes from Cotulla. So I make progress
It worked as bepe and Cotulla did already wrote.
Take a ruu signed rom rename it in LEOIMG.nbh
Put it on a sd card
Go into bootloadermode and OK!
I made a mistake in the renaming I renamed in LEOIMAGE.nbh
Hi fellows,
I searched a while but could not find a solution for my problem...
I am using a HTC HD2 branded and "locked" by T-Mobile Germany.
Using my S/N I can not download original HTC-ROMs.
So my only option is using TMO-Roms from their website... :-/
I want to install NAND-Version of Android because WinMo is so embarassing. Especially the "Marketplace" is really NOT good... -.-
I tried to follow the manuals on your pages, but I can not find a hint for my problem...
Do I have to "break" anything to get any other Rom running?
I found sth. called "GoldCard" but... oh my god... Very complicated!
I hope you guys can help me.
It would be awesome.
Thanks a lot!

Hspl4, choose 2.08.hspl
can now flash anything, but use USB, not SD.
you will want to change radio first as things needed for android require high version radios. Go for 2.15.50.x radio.
If your current winmo rom is version 3.14 you wont need to change radio.
I've the same phone:
HD2 HTC with german t-mobile software, but it is not branded on the cover.
Also it says it has 512mb of rom and 448 of ram
SO I think it should be the EU HTC, and i should use rom and guides for the EU version
Can someone pleas confirm me it is the european version?
I don't want to brick my phone the first time i change the rom ahhaah
search the hd2 nand android forums and there should be a sticky for it
Been out of the HD2 forums for sometime so bit rusty & out of touch.
I have manged to get hold of a T-mobile HD2 & would like to know if I can put a standard WWE ruu 6.5 on if I need to go back to windows for w/e reason?
I do intend to put Andriod on due to the extra memory on the T-mobile version.
Thanks
If you mean a t mobile USA (tmous) then NO!! Never ever flash an unbranded or non tmous branded) rom. Tmous will ONLY take tmous branded roms, otherwise the radio in regular roms will brick it.
However yes its simple to go back from android to winmo stock.

As far as i am aware it's a UK t-mobile thats been sim unlocked.
Will this make any difference? How can i tel if it's a tmous or not?
Ta
Ah that's different, only tmous (green send red end keys) are affected by radio brick. (Well, normal flashing risks apply, of course, but there's no rom that can brick your phone just by flashing it.)
The confusion is your post 1 mentions extra memory(edit see **), , that's tmous only. Your phone is a regular hd2, rom locked to t mobile. (Not connected to sim unlock, it will always be rom locked to t mo, so your stock roms will be "HTC Leo UK tmo 1.43, 1.72 and 3.14.
The tmous can be considered a slightly different phone than the rest of us have.mines o2 UK, same as yours but different rom lock. Everything's the same tho, dead easy to go back to stock, various ways to do it should you need to.(I wont 1,2,3 it, go read the tuts and stickies)
Edit ** I assumed you meant 1024 rom instead of 512, but maybe you mean the ram, 576 vs 448, well that extra 128 is actually there in our phones, you just don't get to use it in the stock roms, it requires a tmous spl and radio to unlock it,, android will see and use it, you don't need to do anything.
