Yes I did face the issue when I first bought it and was experimenting with android and loads of apps!! However, it also turned out my SD card was not ok ! So that too might have been the reason! Try doing a data wipe(Backup msg and call history using SMS Backup+ and contacts are auto backed up in google acc). So first try by removing the SD card and if that do not work do a data wipe.

thanks ^^ will try it

Are your phone undervolted?
The phone freezes on boot and after that reboots? Or you can use them for a while whitout problems and it reboots at any time?

It's a known issue when you undervolt the device too much
CM7 + CM9 double boot

[Q] [HELP]My defy doesnt like CM10 :(

Hey friends!
I am using Mb526 for quite a while now.I am having a strange problem of signal freezing within 10-30minutes of booting the phone, cm9 was fine.. but as soon as i switched to cm10 there is a strange problem that the signal bars freeze/there is no outgoing call/the data packet doesnt work and in this case, nothing helps to get it back to working except a complete reboot. this happens suddenly and is self triggered at any point of time because of which i miss important calls and messages. i have tried to do the following
1)set the governor to conservative at default clock settings.(someone suggested this)
2)removed phone.apk and all its associated apk's from HWA's settings
Is there a patch for this? ive tried installing jellybean kernel too(in MIG edition rom but it gives me another problem that the signal is off). please someone help my poor defy :'(
Are you wiping everything (cache, dalvik, data and system) pre flashing?
Try flashing a wipe script.(search for it, it basically wipes everything for you. You have to be careful to use a script that does not wipe your sd card as well)

Have you tried going back to CM9 to see if everything works as before? That way you can rule out a hardware problem.

Have you tried with all the different basebands? This was what worked for me when I was having a problem with no incoming calls. There is a baseband changer app in Play.
If that doesn't work - Since flashing a different kernel is getting you a different problem maybe you should try various kernels. One of them might work.

[ Help ] Blue screen Error , Samsung grand 2 (4.4.2)

Hello Friend Recently I update my grand 2 to official android 4.4.2 Firmware , And The problem is that Sometimes It restarts automatically after showing BLUE SCREEN . Can anyone facing this problem ...?? Can anyone please Help me to Solve this Problem ..???
hey, let me help you.
what was the situation when this wierd thing happened?
eg. were you playing game?
or surfing internet. or any other..
was your phone rooted?
did you installed xposed framework?
(i've seen most blue screens in Xposed)
if you have installed xposed framework then either remove recently installed modules or completely remove xopsed framework.
and if your phone hasnt been rooted, and you are facing blue screen problems, i think you havent factory reseted your phone, so perform factory reset and wipe cache frome recovery..
hope this helps.
Hey Vrushabh thanls a lot for your time , This happens only sometimes like once in a week.
I had rooted my phone earlier but after this crash i formally uprooted my phone and from last 4 days it has no problem .... THANKS AGAIN BRO.
Now my question is that , what was the reason behind this type of blue screen error...?
I have the same problem with my Grand 2. It automatically got an official update 4.4.2 and since then whenever I use it for a while specially on facebook, the cell gets restarted after giving a blue screen. I have made the factory data reset and since then its a bit improved but the problem still not gone altogether. Please if you can give any solution?

Grand 2 Duos Bluescreen
Hi all,
I also encountered the blue screen and restart error. This happens randomly like using Whatsapp, 9gag or Facebook. It also restarts for no reason at all.
The phone is not rooted by the way. I tried running it on safe mode and nothing happened. After normally booting it, it crashed twice. First with a blue screen and the second was an automatic restart.
Thanks
I tried ni2 but no luck . blue screen and restart again

I think this happens because some times Apps are trying to write something on prohibited areas of system , and that's why OS restarts Itself to prevent data looses .
Are the people having this problem on SM-7102 and perhaps the phone bought/CSC from India?

[Q] Fast reboots after firmware update (solved)

Hey everyone,
After I installed the latest firmware update for my rom (GNF1), my device (GT-I9505) fast reboots (without asking for PIN) at least twice a day!
How can I fix this? It happens randomly, even when I'm on a call..
Thanks in advance!

I am not sure if you meant "random" reboots, not fast reboots. I do not know any fix other than backing up your apps and doing a factory reset.

They were random and they were fast too. By "fast" I meant a "simulation" of a reboot. The system was closing/restarting all core and user apps. No SIM unlocking was required afterwards.
The problem was solved after I uninstalled all KNOX related apps.

No headphones with screen locked!

As I said in the title I have an issue that I've been through no matter what rom I installed or what headphones I used: with my screen off (phone locked) my headphones are not rilevated by the phone. However they are rilevated when screen Is on (phone unlocked). To solve this bug I usually reboot the phone and after that, all goes well, but I find it annoying...anybody knows a way to solve this problem?
EDIT: Maybe the problem has been fixed by removing the SD Card
I had similar issue but now it's ok after turning of MIUI Optimizations:
