[Q] Where do I find Asus Task Manager widget APK? - Acer Iconia A500

I'm using Lightspeed and I really miss Asus Task Manager widget...
Anybody knows where to find it?

Get the ROM, look in /system
Test, rinse, repeat

Lightspeed doesn't have Asus Task Manager widget...
I'm looking for the APK to install it!

Well, thanks... But I only need the widget apk, I'n not going to download the entire Asus ROM only for that.
I was hopping someone has the apk.

Maybe you should ask in the Asus board.
Also, it may require other parts of the Asus framework, but I can't confirm this as I've never used it before. If that's the case, it might be kind of difficult getting it to work on any Acer-based ROM.
All I can do is wish you the best of luck.

No, it does not work. It will not install and also does not work even when placed in /system/app. I think maybe a signed apk is required.

Not sure what I'm missing here. I copied the files to the system/app folder and rebooted. But still I see my old wallpapers.

That is the first thing I did. It first asked confirmation for replacing a system app. When I gave 'Ok' it says 'Application not installed'. Because of this only I tried copying the files to system/app folder.

This is not the one. I'm talking about the Nexus One's default wallpaper, which will be available in LG P500's stock froyo ROM also. I think it will be available in the first set of apks you provided. But I'm facing the issue of installing.
Anyway thanks for your help mate. I'll try to install those apks somehow.
Try Nexus Revamped Pro on Market.
And what about Microbes live wallpaper from Nexus? It has been ported to SGS, so is it possible to have this in OO?

try renaming the name or extension (so that you still have the file there in case anything goes wrong) and then try installing the apk. i had to do that for one of my system apps

[Request] Keyboard from 2.3 GB update.

I realize that this may not be the best place for this thread, but I figured it would be where I would find the most rooted users. I was hoping that one of you nice rooted Droid x users might be able to try and give me your keyboard from the 2.3 update.
I loved the Droid x keyboard on my Incredible but it wont work with GB and I want to try and get one working. I am looking for the LatinIME.apk file from your system/app folder and the libjin_latinime file from your system/lib folder. Root explorer or something similar would be needed to get these. If you could just copy/paste these then zip them up and either attach them in this thread or PM me that would be awesome.
This is just an experiment, but I would appreciate your help. Again they have to come from a 2.3 phone. Thank you.

Testing., Jellybean launcher

I have modded a launcher and i think it should work on all Gb devices .
Some people reported that this launcher doesnt work on artix 4g running cm7 . Can someone from this forum try running this on your phone.
I dont think there is any risk of bootloops untill u do anything silly.

You can also try using the alternative method and installing the app with system app installer.
Plz let me know if this launcher works on your device!
Thanks Shlok~~~
Hope you fix it....for me its not working but you know that.....LOL

Nope. Tried moving app to system folder, changing permissions, did not let me install .
Tried V6, V7, everything and no luck
You do realize the APK alone is not enough, right? I mean the thing comes with some external libs too, I'm sure there's a reason. So if you only install the APK and not the libs, you don't get to complain that it's not working.

That black screen might be because u didnt put the lib files. And it can be a sig prob if u can install it.

is there a generic place where to put the libraries?
You mention on your original post depending the model of the phone we should put the libraries into.

In the Verizon section in the Malladus thread the dev Okibi broke out the Lg Apps into a separate zip. I didn't install the whole zip, I cherry picked the apps I wanted out of it. May work for you, don't know if they're device specific though. Just figured it was worth mentioning.

I'm interested in the launcher too (Shelf and icons seems nice), I'm willing to port it too but can't find OnePlus 2's framework-res.apk without which it's not possible to decompile the APK, and unfortunately downloading the whole ROM will be pretty heavy for my data plan. :/ It would be nice if anyone would upload the framework-res.apk file, then people can start porting other apps like camera etc. too!

Not familiar with sharing system apk's, but I basically copied mine straight from its location and uploaded it to AFH, link is below. If it doesn't work like that, allow me to facepalm myself and please give me some instructions on how to get it done the right way then.
