Has anyone tried the replacement glass available on Amazon or on eBay? Any idea of the quality? It would be nice to get something that's Gorilla glass, but at this point I would be happy to just have my phone back.

I just scratched my screen. It was in the same pocket as my coins, and now, I am regretting trusting gorilla glass™
How do I remove the scratches?
I had one scratch 2 but after a month disapered.... I think it's normal xD
scratches??? how do you got this? I tried just today to scratch the phone with a money and with a very pointed key, to demostrate to a frind the resistance of gorilla glass, and the screen passed excellently the proof, sure that your model has the gorilla glass? maybe in some countries is sold without the GG
I found this thread and thought it might be useful to you:

Hi, has anyone disassembled omnia 7 screen before? May I know whether the glass and lcd are glued together and whether it is difficult to pry open the screen? (I have pried an ipod touch screen before)
*I just broke my omnia glass and thinking of getting a replacement from ebay but the lcd and glass package is too expensive (>$100) while the glass only is below $20 so I was thicking of getting the glass only.
Thanks
First of all, how the hell did you manage that - it's Gorilla Glass!
There is a tear down of the phone here
Quite complicated and delicate process unless you are familiar with doing this kind of thing.
As for the glass being connected to the digitizer, yes I think they will be stuck together with some sort of glue resin. Probably not the best idea to prise away and try and fit yourself, I suspect you'll be disappointed with a homemade attempt to stick a new pane of glass on.
I actually couldn't find the glass-only on eBay, I could only find the £80+ glass and digitizer items.
Claim it on household insurance, send it back to Samsung or save up the £80?
Hi
I have samsung note 3 and i am looking to buy scratch card

but some of my friends saying that my phone comes with gorilla glass so suggest me no need of tempered glass as it wont work with it.
gorilla glass + tempered glass
so i requested you guys to help me out.
thanks in advance.
Even gorilla glass (1,2 & 3) can get scratched!
Glass screen protector may also protect the screen from drops as it its glass is almost tough as the Gorilla glass. Replacing an $8 glass screen protector is much cheaper than the $250 replacement screen.

Yes these days high-end phones comes with temper glass which doesn’t get light scratches like other does easily. But they still get scratches easily. So its always better to protect it. I ordered the phone with a SP and when I unboxed 1st thing I did is put the SP on.
So definitely you should get a screen protector immediately, mostly for the Note 3’s Lovely screen. But using any SP may damage the visibility. So always get a quality one. But for general use I don’t see any purpose of using tempered glass thicker one, I’m not going to scratch with a hammer on the phone. I don’t make sense why people use those.
Also as it’s a phone I cant see any purpose of Privacy Screen Protector, this can damage user’s visibility if you see from a tilted side, like watching movie in landscape view. And 1.4k INR for a screen protector? No way, I would never ever buy that.
I ordered this one from FK and still its working great, no damages in visibility.

Ouch. You might have to call LG service on that one. Man... That's disappointing to hear.

I would not pry at the glass until you have parts. It will get into the camera assembly and you will have to replace more than just the glass. You might be better off contacting LG or going through insurance.
Hi everyone !
I dropped my Samsung S10+ last weekend and the front glass broken, but the screen are working fine.
I know that this kind of damage are not covered by Samsung warranty, so I checked with some local repair shop.
No one seem to replace just the glass, their replace the screen and the glass together, this mean, a expensive reparation cost.
I asked them why their don't replace only the glass, but I only receive anwser like 'We don't replace glass, we change the screen who come with the glass"
Do you know why their won't replace the glass only ?
I seen on Amazon some front glass at only 40$ CAD with tool, UV adhesive and lamp. I confortable to do it myself. I watched some videos, but seem that everyone dissasemble the phone completly to change the glass on the screen.
Why not just removing the glass directly ?
Thank you for your anwser !
I think it is because the oled panels in this phones are so thin that separating the front glass from them would break them.
