I rooted my KF days after I got it, changed the wallpaper and installed the android market, back in jan. Now I would like to go back to complete stock. I dont have twrp or a custom recovery installed. How do I revert back to stock? (I want root gone and the market gone) My computer or adb is not recognizing my KF.Sigh Can someone explian to me how I can remove and reinstall the drivers?
The one thread I found was from Nov and I'm not sure if it was up to date or not.
Thanks

Sorry, I am stuck and not sure what to do. I have s-off. Every ROM that I flash using clockworkmod I keep getting a boot loop. I revert to stock ROm and I am fine. There is something I am missing, but what?
Any ideas?
Are u trying to flash a gingerbread rom?

No, I haven't tried any of the gingerbread stuff.
Are you doing a wipe?

Yes, I have done a full wipe. I can go into terminal emulator and su and get #. I thought I was good enough with rooting. I have rooted my evo and didn't have this much trouble.
Have you tried a clear to default type wipe? Like factory reset then flash? When I tried to go from ice glacier to cm I got bootloop till I factory reset.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
ok, So, I did a full wipe. Then I restarted and did a factory reset. Then, I flashed evils 4g hd port. Then, I did another full wipe.
It just sits at he HTC quietly brilliant screen and loops every 30 secs or so. I just don't know what to do.
I permrooted, and flashed cwm3.0.0.5 and flashed cm 7 build 23 on my glacier. It didn't work and would not boot post the animation, the animation kept looping. So I flashed the stock system since it would not restore my backups and did a factory reset. Now I have no recovery. I rerooted up to the s-on part (can't find the root file for s-off) installed rom manager and that says I successfully flashed a new recovery. I tried this with earlier versions of clockwork and each time I'm greeted with a black screen, and red triangle/exclamation point. How do I get my recovery back?

It isn't possible to install clockwork recovery unless you are s=off, so you will need to do that before you can get cw to install.

You can search for anyone of the "how to root" threads in the development section.
But to answer your question.... here is the link.

Ok, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but cm7 will not boot. The boot animation keeps looping. I let it run for about 10 min before trying again and same thing. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone help?

Cm7 build 25 as of today, but I have tried since build 23. I have the latest cwm from rom manager, but I have also tried with cwm 3.0.0.5. No error messages.

try with build 26 (newly released), use CWM 3.0.0.5, and make sure to wipe data, cache and dalvik cache. Let me know if that works, or what happens.

It was the dalvik cache I was forgetting to clear it. Using cm7 I noticed that my screen was not as responsive. Anyone else with this problem.

A factory reset will NOT cause you to lose root.
Using googles factory images you can do a full reset to stock including system. Its like a new device except it doesn't change the bootloader status.

I don't think Google has released factory images yet (for this model) on the developer website. They weren't there last time I checked.

Those will get you to the equivalent of or close to factory (one of them is pre-rooted), which may be all the OP wants to do.
However they aren't technically Google's factory images.
I installed beats audio and my phone froze. I factory reset and when I went to reboot it said no os installed. I'm scard to reboot. Lol. I'm using twrp and have ubuntu 13.10. Is there a way I can move a rom from my pc to the phone to flash?
Sorry for the noob question but I didn't find anything spicific to my question in search.
Thanks

You can always use the toolkits to achieve your next step but if you are in Ubuntu you should go back into recovery and just flash another rom. Try Wugs and of course you can always side load a rom or flash your images back in Fastboot. As long as you are up and running you are ok.
One more thing you may only have to re-flash the Ubuntu zips to get the OS back
Edit: I see you searched so I deleted that line
OK, everything is good. Thanks.

Not sure exactly what I did but I had installed a stock rom and while using the rom I got a software update. I tried to install the update and it said phone will reboot so I rebooted it. It took me to my recovery (Philz Touch recovery) then I attempted to reboot my phone but now it just keeps going back to recovery and wont go any further. I've tried to install another rom but it still goes right back to recovery after I reboot. Please someone help me out here. I'm pretty I'm not bricked but cant figure out what to do to get to my phone. I'm thinking I need to restore my phone back to factory and start again.

Hello, if you made a backup of your previous Rom, you don't have to do a factory reset, if you didn't make a backup in recovery mode, you can factory reset.[emoji4][emoji4]

Rule #1. NEVER INSTALL OTA UPDATES IF YOURE ROOTED!
Just saw your other thread. If you are not confident using adb just get yourself an otg cable, put twrp on a memory stick, mount the otg in philz and flash twrp from the memory stick. You can then use the terminal in twrp.
PS. A micro usb drive would work just as well.
