Although it is still Gingerbread‚it might be the Value Pack.

Yes, the SGS owners got it. Maybe we will get this update too!

How about our vibrant???????

Are we gettin an update for gingerbread 2.3 tru samsung kies? i read that sgs gt-i9000 got the update already.... Is that the official? are we gonna get that to for our sgs vibrant... Thanks....
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
I was wondering the same thing!
I9000 was the 1st SGS and is also unhindered by carriers restrictions.
The us will get 2.3 on the us galaxy s phones when the carriers decide they want to release it.

Ask yourself: Knowing Samsung, would you really want download the stock version of 2.3 thru Kies or wait for one of our awesome devs. to get a hold of it and make it better (I'm counting on you Team Whiskey). I rather wait since I'm running flawless BionixV1.3.1 I'm in no hurry.
Bionix 1.3.1 is awesome lol

Oh I got it... So our carriers will make the last decision if were gettin the official update.im thinking tmobile wont give us the update. Cause,im now upgrading to any new ginger phone that they have I git official update...

Wait after May 3 to see what Samsung announces for the Galaxy SIII. That phone and the HTC One are the best phones from AT&T for Android.

I'm sure it is compared to Samsung.
I know with Samsung phones, there's more software involved and flash counters and etc.

Lol.
No,no,no.
Believe me,it takes less than 5 minutes once you have the drivers,etc...
HTC...now thats a pain in the ass.
But if you go to at&t its the note,or the one X.
Pass on the skyrocket (though it seems slighy better than tmobiles t989).Tmobile is just one S,t989,amaze.
The Samsung galaxy nexus is only $399 unlocked via google playstore.
Here, buy my amaze or t989,and ill get the nexus.LOL.

Odin is the program you need to use with Samsung devices to root and flash different modems and what not. i gotta admit, sometimes it is better than flashing a PD15IMG.zip but still...what if i'm nowhere near a computer?
So far I'm liking the galaxy s2.....

Im sure youll love the S2.
The skyrocket is better than tmobiles hercules.
Wait 2Weeks for the one x.
As far as AT&T goes, everyone I know is able to get a signal where I dont.
Tmobile has gotten crappy.
But at&t is just as ****ty customer service wise (I suppose).I know I hated them with the home phone(10 yrs ago LOL).

if i'm ever going to get the Galaxy, i'm definitely going to get the International version. hate how the U.S carriers screw them up and such... ruins the whole point... i have an international version of the Original Galaxy S, GT-i9000, and if it weren't for it being international... i'm not sure how i can stand it lol. International ftw!
Yeah.im leaning towards internat versions for next major purchase.but if the note or sgs3 or the onex comes to Tmobile, then thats good enough for me for the next 2yrs.
But if google will sell the next nexus and not depend on a carrier,shiiiit.google/Samsung will rule the market with that one phone.

If google did that, the carriers might jack their prices up.

Want new phone

Can't "hack" a phone to make it support different frequencies. That's at the hardware level.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA
Why don't you like the one s?
And the art HOX is essentially the HOS with a bigger screen. Unless you go over seas for a euro version but doubt it will work on tmo 4g..
If your wanting the latest n greatest phone I would wait a few months when the next band of phones come out. I am not all to impressed with the sgs3. But that's my onion which is apparently opposite of 9.million other people

have you checked out the Galaxy Nexus? It's pentaband meaning that it also supports T-Mobile 4G as well as AT&T. My friend has it and he gets 4G on his Galaxy Nexus.
They sell it for $400 over at Google Play Store. You should check it out
Yeah I was thinking of getting the nexus. I most likely will wait for next batch though

I also had a Desire once, and i was actually pretty pleased with it I remember the first day I got it, and it was extremely fast compared to the xperia X8 I had before.
A not-so-techy friend of mine is still using it with some Oxygen rom I installed way back.

Proud HTC Desire User here i still have mines..
yep once a desire owner flashed the day lights out of the poor phone i was always flashing every custom roms for desire.
It was good to have the Desire HD (Had the same specs, board, etc as the Xperia play) so most of the time the developers in the xperia play section were porting ICS from the desire hd.
I was using Desire HD just a couple of weeks ago. Apart from weak battery was very pleased with it. Wanted to buy HTC device, but built-in battery scared me off.
I had the original desire I loved the track pad on it, it would be cool if the button on the Galaxy s3 was a track pad would be easier to navigate

Ra Ra htc desire, and htc support was great too. Unfortunately now departed (the classic out of the top shirt pocket into the toilet). Sorely missed, taught me much.
I guess I should update my sig now, but im just not quite ready to let go yet. Maybe with time.
Pleased with my samsung i9300.

Ex Desire HD user here - well almost. The American AT&T variant was called the Inspire. Same ROMs worked for both phones (with a minor audio driver change that ROM cooks would bake in).
Still have my desire , rooted , s-off just getting round to flashing jelly bean.
Used it the other day still a fantastic phone and the quality feel in the hands is far better than any of my other phones.
I'll never get rid of it.

What was your previous phone?

Hey all,
I'm just wondering what people had before the HTC ONE.
I'm thinking about getting this phone myself; I currently have the Galaxy Note 2 and really like a couple features of the new htc. I'd especially like to hear from anyone who is in the same position as me.
