Hey guys,
Found this modified market version which should fix the density problem. Just delete old one, push this one via adb set permissions and it should work.

Hello all, I would like to know if anyone has successfully reinstalled the stock Kindle keyboard after flashing CM7. I searched and didn't find any posts about this.
I have copied the apk to /system/app and set permissions to rw-r-r and owner/group to root, but when i try and install using package manager I keep getting installation failure, so obviously I am doing something wrong.
Any help is appreciated.

I have recently changed roms to hyperdroid cm7 and I started getting this message when trying to download apps in the marketplace, not all apps give me this message. I have tried to change my LCD density from 193 to 240 but till same problem. Any fix for this??

1. By changing DPI need to reboot and reset settings/cache Market
2. The latest version of Hyperdroid is fixed
3. Not all applications are compatible with your country/operator
After changing lcd density to 140 so I can use tablet UI, all the cheap apps on Google play right now are "incompatible with your device"
Even after changing density back to 160 the apps are showing up incompatible. I am I have also attempted to use lcd density changer pro to fix market compatibility issues but after attempting that, all market items download but don't install with "the package file is invalid".
I'm all out of ideas. Any help?

I think you need to delete market cash after changing density from setting/apps and may be also need a reboot after doing so
If not so try delete cash and dalvik and fix permissions in cwm
If not so try flashing gapps again if you are using cm or aokp (not stock)

Also try to change density in the future using app like rom toolbox lite or pro
Also make a nandroid backup before changing density
Also if you are in custom rom try reflashing the rom after clear cash and dalvik and nooo factory reset not to lose data

Just download a modded google play apk (phonesky.apk)without auto-update. Then change dpi to default (160) , reboot, and clear gplay data. Push the apk , open gplay and see if the apps are compatible. If not clear data again.. Then change dpi to whatever value you want.Dont clear gplay data again to keep the compatibility. After that you shouldnt see "incompatible with your device " again.
Put tablet ui with aokp

Hi all
Every time I change the DPI from stock 320 to 280 my playstore app tells me that " your device is incompatible" message
I have cleared the play store data/cache and the Google play service data cache and rebooted but I still get the same error after the reboot.
I've tried this on a stock ROM and on several custom roms such as "slim bean" and jellytime with the same issues after lowering the DPI to 240
Can somebody please help as I can function on this nexus with a DPI of 320

Are you trying to use 240 or 280. I think you need to use one of the standard DPI values for the play store to work (160, 213, 240, 320...)
Just go to stock DPI, reboot.
Then clear play store data.
Now change DPI and reboot.

Try changing density with 'LCD Density Modder' on Google Play ~ it has an PlayStore-Fix in it
It's free but you can use it only once without purchasing the Pro-Version.
After changing the DPI & installing the fix you can uninstall the App
When you change the DPI, is it going into full tablet mode? User switching enabled and all?

Didn't work for me... I own the Pro version as well.
Infact it pretty much deleted my recovery and my phone stopped booting Had to reflash the stock OS via fastboot.

It doesn't work on anything higher than GB as far as I know.

Use the modded Play Store from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580827
One of the mods is that the Play Store will always believe you're at 320dpi
I'm running my Defy with 200 DPI set and there's a little problem with Play Store I'm facing. Some apps just won't appear in search results (like they were incompatible). I've flashed zip with multi dpi Play Store already but that didn't solve it. On some occasions these apps will show up (rarely, no idea what it depends on) and there will be no problem with installing and running it. Some examples of missing apps: Facebook, DefyLens. Anything can be done about it?
Which Rom? If you're on cm10, then you could shift to paranoid android which doesn't have any such issues and allows very specific dpi and layout customization

It's latest CM7 nightly from maniac103.

Hi,
To change your LCD density but avoid apps incompatibility, set your density back to 213 (240 for moto defy).
Now, create a file in /data/local.prop and type in it :
qemu.sf.lcd_density=160 (or anything you prefer)
You can change the density to whatever you want, save and reboot
Please press thanks if I helped you
