Am I the only one who sees a pink color on the screen if the screen is tilted at an angle? I checked a floor model at Best Buy and didn't see any coloring.
If you take the device, rotate it so the corner with the clock is facing you and then corner with the Google voice search button is facing away from you and then tilt the device so you're looking at the screen in a sort of flat manner (but it happens much before it's flat) the screen turns pinkish. It also occurs when you do it from another rotation, same angle.
It sort of kills the quality of the screen since IPS is known for good viewing angles. It's a B6O, the floor model that didn't have it is a B7O.
No problems here with pink screen. Really though if you have to flip to that angle to see it what's the big deal? It's not an angle you would normally have the TF at to use.
I'm not the kind of person to whine about small things. Like I said in the first post it happens much before the tablet is laid flat. If I'm holding the tablet in a normal position and begin to turn it left or right the side of the screen that I'm turning it to turns pink. This is not a abnormal position for the tablet to be in. If I'm not directly in front of the screen it turns pink even if it's a little bit to the left or right.

I have read a few posts about the white screen issue and some seem to pertain to my problem and others don't. My screen is white 100% of the time from power on to power off. So I can't seen anything when it first boots or comes out of standby mode or any thing else. The only way that I can get the screen to be anything but white, is to hold it in my left hand with the keyboard slider bottom left corner of the phone pushed up against the base of my thumb muscle and my other fingers pushing on the bottom right corner or the phone on the screen slider. Sometimes if I hit it in the bottom right corner then squeeze it I can get it to work without tiring myself out from squeezing after 1 minute.
Seems to be a pressure and angle thing i think. The phone has been dropped on more than one occasion. Ten tops. Sometimes when I squeeze it i get lines from left to right, then fade to white.
If I put the phone on 65-90 degree angle from my eyes I can see a little black mark at the top of the screen under the C of HTC. That is what had me thinking that it was a cracked LCD.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Phone is still under warranty, but would rather not be without it for the 6 -8 weeks I was told it would take, only to find out it was a cracked lcd and they won't fix it.
I believe you have to open it. Try to connect every single connection again.
I Had This
I had this problem when i dropped my Vario 2 the screen cracked and was all white, when i went on ebay and bought a new screen I took the vario 2 apart and replaced the screen BUT the ribon connector that plugs into the board was not quite in so when i re-assembled it i just got power and white screen.
There are a couple of little lugs on the ribon cable and i though that once they were butted up to the connector on the board that it was in properly. BUT the lugs actually needed to be pushed that little bit further and slide under part of the connector. BANG it worked fine.

Either send back and keep warranty or try the several solutions posted. I myself am pretty sure I found the correct solution and I posted it in the appropriate thread.
Thanks guys, I think I'm going to try my luck with sending it in. Will probably add a link to the main whitesrceen thread so hopefully I get no hassles. Will post back When I get it back.
I had a similar problem and voided my warranty because I don't have a spare device... anyway, here is where I found my solution.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321163
Good Luck... My phone is still working fine....
As a fresh owner I have a few questions:
1 - The lower right corner of the front panel wobbles (?), moves slightly on touch, I can press it for about 1mm (see the attached screen). It is especially annoying when pressing OK or dial off (or whatever the button is called). Is it normal?
2 - The screen has a slight green tone (hue), can anything be done with it?
3 - LCD has noticeable light leaking near the bottom side, again, is it normal? (Well, the screen does not work now anyway, gotta flash the phone.)
Thanks

(1) I have no issues with this, seams fine on mine
(2) I cannot notice any hue, maybe you have a faulty unit given the blue colour and the movement of the panel.
(3) Yes LCD light is noticible, I also get leaks through the optical pad when I have the notification LED's on
1. I got some small loose on the front pannel upper area, it's especially felt when You hold the phone in one hand and work with Your thumb pressing the screen or just put the phone to You ear. You feel then the pannel moves a bit down. Maybe thats normal or just the build quality is not so good at all.
sounds like you have a faulty one. mine is solid as a rock. the loose screen and the green hue could be related. there shouldnt be any discolouration at all and i can only see it getting worse to be honest. where did you get it? if its somewhere reputable then id take it back and ask for a decent one while its still in warranty.
i do have tiny bit of light leakage near the buttons, that does seem common.
Mine is well made too, no hardware problems.
I have a silver one, solid as a rock, light leaks are present though...
Hi
yesterday I saw a light spot (that it's visible only with white screen) in the top-right side of the screen, under the power bottom.
it's visible only at high ° of inclination, if I look my tablet directly (90°) it isn't visible
I don't know how it's possible that, has someone info about it?

It's possible that the Digitizer might not be fully contacted at that particular point in the tab. I have seen a couple of posts about this. This is a hardware/manufacture defect more than likely, or something that happened over time and usage. Considering the location near an often used spot, this is probably true.
I would suggest if you can live with it, then just ignore it.
If it really bothers you, then you can remove the back cover of the tablet, and check for loose connection fasteners around the display/digitizer areas. But really, if you have to look really hard at certain angles, in the right light and color, then I would ignore it. Not worth the trouble.
Hi guys, sorry if this has been posted, tried searching and couldn't find anything.
Anyways, I want to know something about the phones screen and I would like to conduct a little test.
Could you hold your phone in front if your face and turn the phone to your right (as you would if you wanted to show someone the screen full on who was sitting on your right) and look if the screen inherits a blue tint. Repeat this but to the left and see if the screen inherits a yellow tint.
It is seriously noticable on my device and I want to know if it is just me. Thank you.
P.S. I have had my phone for around a week and the bottom 1/3rd still has a slight yellow tinting. Any idea is this fades or is this just a dud LCD?

I have the same tinting effects when I angle the phone, it's noticable but it doesnt really bother me.
This has already been confirmed...mine does it too.
+1 another one here. It is a slight tint though nothing to worry about or notice, unless you are looking for the tint.
The viewing angles on this phone aren't the greatest if that's what you're getting at :/
Hi,
I noticed that in a certain angle, in sunlight - you can see the screen refreshes rates.
Try holding the device in a way that the sun reflects to the sides of the screen (the device should be positioned vertically to the sun light).
Do you see that refreshes too?
Is that normal?
Thanks ahead.
Wow you got super eyes.. lol.. just kidding..
Can you may be explain a bit on the angle to hold.. should the sunlight reflect or something.. so that we can recreate what you are trying to point out..

So many people sensible about the screen smearing, screen refresh...Do you get hawk eyes? or you work in screen factory? I didn't notice anything anormal. You are so professional.
Hi Guys,
The refreshes appeared couple of times before.
This one happened while i was driving to college (The direction was East and I was using WhatsApp. meaning, bright background app) and the sun light was pretty strong (aroung 7:30 am).
I saw little black lines on the screen (probably because of the angle of the sun).
Did you had any kind of experience? Im not sure im describing it so well :\
Thanks
