As this phone has a working ICS port you should know that Qualcomm recently released Adreno 2xx drivers for Ice Cream Sandwich. But unfortunately the drivers released were compiled only for armv7 not armv6.
So all armv6 devices with ICS ported are having an unofficial ICS port with a hack to provide hardware acceleration.
This means our phones will never have 100% hardware acceleration in ICS and also not get OFFICIAL CM9 support as they dont allow use of any hacks or patches in their ROMS.
The ICS port on OptimusP500(which i use) is almost bugfree and we were left from getting the official support from cm9 due to this very reason.
sweetnsour has made this groubal, a petition for the Qualcomm guys to look into and thus compile the drivers from ARMv6
THIS WILL BE THE LAST CHANCE TO BREATH NEW LIFE INTO OUR ONCE AWESOME DEVICES.
I hope you guys will sign this groubal showing your support. Your one signature will definitely help us to show Qualcomm that there are many many users still using Armv6 devices..

Hi everybody!
I was searching something about a MIUI port for our ZTE Blade, because if It can be ported to a Motorola Defy or a Acer Liquid, with no 1ghz processor or in a Nexus One with the same Adreno GPU as our device, I think that an experienced developer can port it to our device, because here and in another forums, as Modaco or HTCMania (for spanish speaking users) we have excellent rom bakers
Here are the sources, the are definitelly experimental and not useful for single users, just like me:
h ttp://android.modaco.com /topic/327783-wip-miui-por ting/
Hope it can help a developer, if I could I'd help you, but I have no idea of programming and I'm not useful with this stuff. Hope that this project is OK and maybe, in a close future, we'll have a fully working MIUI in our device
Regards!
P.D: This software belongs to the developer that left this project, it's not my software. I've just copied the link.

Totally want the MIUI rom, developers, please make it.

Those aren't MIUI sources. MIUI is closed source. The only compiled versions are for armv7 phones, so they don't work at all on the armv6 blade. The only people that could make a blade version are the MIUI developers, so go & hassle them.

Xiaomi have started making certain parts of miui open source as from today wbaw, but all the guides are chinese. Seems to be some sort of tool what merges miui framework etc into stock roms/cm7

Sounds good, if they do release the source code then somebody should work on a blade port. Nothing can be done until they release something close to the full source, I just see a few little apps on there at the moment.

Yes that portrom had a massive guide but its all in Chinese it looks like it merges parts of MIUI into stock/cm7 roms for phones that don't have it. But the 35page PDF is all Chinese. And yes they only opensorced a few things at the moment, them few apps and I'm sure the framework is too within the portrom folder.

Hi to all our dear developers,
I have started this thread to ask who all are working on development of Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for ZTE Blade?
In case you need any support in testing the ROM, I would be more than happy to volunteer.

the honeycomb sdk was compiled for arm v6, the ics sdk was compiled for arm v7. zte blades only have an arm v6 processor.
so, we need the source code so that it can be recompiled for our arm v6 phones. There's a little bit more to it than that, so don't expect ics for the blade on the same day as the source code is released, but we need the source code before we can start work on a blade version.
hopefully we'll get a working port of cm9 (which will be based on ics).

once he's worked it out the source code for cm9 will be available, then you can use that.
using the aosp source code, once you have it booting there are still other problems to fix, like the touch screen, audio & ril.
everyone involved with cyanogenmod should be very busy fixing those problems, so it's best to leave them to it if you can't help them. they don't need to be bothered with questions.

Just wondering if CM9 for ZTE Blade released? or under development?
As Qualcomm has made a driver for Adreno 2xx
Numerous Zte blade and Dell XCD users still waiting for the official CM9.
Any update regarding this will be really appreciated.

im not sure about an official cm9 release directly from cyanogen since problems may still occur in development but i am sure that one of our developers will make this happen for our blades mate.
saaransh9 has a great thread open about android 4.0.0+ going on i would advise you to read the thread since a lot of information can be found there
As suggested by Kannibalism, have a look at the thread by saraansh9 regarding CM9...
Some features like Camera, video recording and some other stuff are still under development...
The basic version is out...Still won't recommend for daily use...
But, its smother than CM7....

I think the devs at CAF are working on JB. Also, Blefish is going to work on CM10 as soon as it reaches RC.
If I knew how to do it. i will start with JB for huawei u8800 :crying:. But i dont know how started with development for huawei u8800.
There is no driver for msm7630. Qualcomm probably won't relase drivers for JB. And ICS drivers will be extremely buggy. So This is over guys, no need for cry.

Thats funny. You think devs are born knowing how to make custom roms? Everyone learnt it. Easy, if you want something, DIY. Thats the android culture.

"(early sample)" I don't think it will pass early sample stage. Maybe end of october we had a JB.
Drivers are not the issue. Older Snapdragon devices (Nexus One, HTC HD2) have working JB ROMs thanks to the drivers released by Qualcomm, my daily driver HTC One V has fully working JB ROMs with those drivers too (Snapdragon S2, Adreno 205).
Be realistic. It's been what, a month since JB code was released? As such I wouldn't expect working ROMs for at least another month or two. And by working I mean booting and e.g. working radio. Our community isn't the biggest after all.
Of course ICS was a huge leap. JB isn't. But that doesn't mean you can quickly build a ROM using ICS-parts and expect a good experience.
I'll try it (make Jelly bean for huawei u8800). I have ubuntu. And i downloaded cm compiler. It will be hard work.
Good luck!

Our community used to be big but since march or february we lost a couple of important devs like genokolar, only a few heroes like blefish or dzo try to work on our little big device, with some work by a dev i'm pretty sure we would have a jb working rom. There's lot of users and only a few devs that's the problem. Our phone is a powerful one with one of the best single core processors and also a good gpu and i think jb would work on it like a charm.

Our Tegra 2 is the AP20H board right? Well other than MOTO specific drivers like finger print reader/webtop shouldn't this help in making a full port with everything working like full acceleration and the like? http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9103_galaxy_r-3967.php It has the same board and has official ICS. Sorry if this is a repost, just trying to help the cause.
