does android support sending song title to a a2dp headset?

hi, I have a SE MW600 a2dp headset, I've read that android 1.6 does not send the song title to a headset, but what about froyo? Is there any program to enable this function? On windows mobile it worked perfectly...

Same problem. I'm using darkstones froyo 2.2 build. Streaming bluetooth music works, but no title is sent, nor can I even control playback.

Mine won't even connect. It says its paired but when I push connect it just beeps and says "paired but not connected"
I use the corded headset anyway.

i also have the same bluetooth headset and it doesn't shows the title , but my x10 shows the title on the headset , may be it has a program built in on its software that enables this feature as the SE MW600 comes bundled with it in the first place and as you said android 1.6 doesnot support this feature (x10 is 1.6 ) , i will try it with a real htc desire as soon as i meet my friend with one

htc desire with 2.1 doesn't support it from what i've read

If your sources are Sony Ericsson web site they also said hd2 wm not supported also it is supported
Or if they are from real experience then it may benefit the situation

i have MW600 also, song title or time doesn't show on the little screen on any build of froyo 2.2

I found this video that shows it works on the SG2
Tried it with different kernels and players for no luck

Got it working with the latest version of Hyperdroid and warrens kernel!
Not sure if its the rom or kernel, but it works

Headset Problem?

Hello, i am new in this Forum and i have a question about the original HTC Headset.
I tried a lot of Android Bults on my HD2 but there is not possible to use the headset buttons for music.
Now i am using this version and it is possible bus the G-Sensor is not working: mdeejay_froyo_sense_v2.5
Do any one now an other Build that works with the headset or must i install an app from market?

Unfortunately this is dependent on the kernel you are using.
With all evo-based kernels the headset-buttons are out of function.
They will only work with a nexus-based kernel, i.e. this one:

Of course, you then have all the disadvantages a nexus-based kernel has, like touchscreen freezes and so on...

AOKP ICS Built#31 Bluetooth problem, someone pls help

Hi, recently shifted to AOKP ICS Built#29 through Overcome as instructed. But facing a problem connecting to my Bluetooth headset (in spec written Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR). The tab is being able to locate any other devices such as Nokia Handsets, laptops but can't find the headset. I was using the same headset with the same tab without any prob previously but of course it was then with Froyo 2.2. Can anyone pls help on this issue? Thanks in advance.

Hi, i'm under #31 build,
and often use nokia bh 505, sony mw600 and motorola eq5 bluetooth headset/speaker with no problem. Never had some in the past too.
All work like a charm: play/pause, next, previous, calling...
Did you do a full wipe.? I'm using, humberos kernel 20120410 wich is include in the build.
For a while now, i always perform full wipe when i change build, like that all rocks.
I bought titanium pro, restoring is automatic, and in 3 minutes, all my apps are restored!

I recently bought from ebay Skullcandy ink'd ( with mic ) Headphons - yeah and i try those ones ... But There was a problem
The Headset controller didnt work ..... (Yeah i know - It was made for apple about those) But I heard you can use controller by using Poweramp
So i downloaded from market poweramp but it didnt work O_O (app didnt open)
Yeah .... i thnk its common problem for all of us...

Headset only works on official firmware 2.1
