screen broke, but touch still works - Nexus One General

My n1 dropped on his screen and got a nasty cracks all over, but the phone still works as well as the touch.
However, after 3 days of the incident, when the phone goes standby it doesn't wake up again, only the capacitive button light up.
What can I do about it? Is it fixable? Can I fix it myself?

Touchscreen doesn't work anymore

Well, plain and simple is that my touchscreen doesn't response to any touch reponse but the screen is working and everything else
I recently bought a white G1 housing kit on ebay and decided to take the risk of opening up my G1 to replace the housing of my black G1 to the white one, but turns out the white case for the screen / menu buttons arent correct so i scraped those and just changed the keyboard and menu button keys to white and put everything back together properly and exam each part and etc.
so i put everything back together and turn on the g1 everything works fine but the touchscreen doesn't work, is there anyway i can fix this?
life is hard using the G1 without a working touchscreen lol
thanks again and i don't think my screen is defective just wondering why it doesn't reponse to my touch
thanks
Once I was walking around in the heat with my G1 in my BDU pocket for like 4 hours, and it obviously got really humid in my pocket, and my touchscreen stopped responding. I let the phone just sit off for a while and after about an hour sitting in my room, it started working again. But I've had several instances where the touch screen has been less responsive/not responsive.
My guess based off my experience would be that some ambient moisture may have gotten into the phone when you opened it up. How long has it been since you put it back together?
Any update on this?
you said you had 2 g1s, right? so take the phone apart again and replace the touch screen.
the touch screen is separate from the LCD, so that wont affect it.

[Q] Screen crack and blackout after phone call

So my sister who also has an Aria dropper her phone and now there is a huge crack on the screen. She doesn't have insurance so she is trying to find an alternative way to fix it.
Simply replacing the screen would work, but another problem started happening when she cracked the screen. During a phone call, the screen will turn off, as it should, but when the call has ended, the screen stays off and the only way to turn it back on is to either pull out the battery and reboot the phone or to plug it into a charger.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Will replacing the screen fix the blackout issue? Or is this phone just trashed forever?
sounds like it destroyed the phone and the proximity sensor. i'm not sure if replacing the screen will fix this.
I actually had the exact same problem after dropping my phone during a call. I noticed that I didn't have to pull the battery to end the call if I held it up super-close to a really bright light (desk lamp, etc).
There were many times when I was on the street (in nyc), and had to find a bright light to hold it up to.
I dropped my Aria right on the corner with the ambient light sensor (in the upper right corner), which shattered the glass right in front of it.
Amazingly enough, after a few weeks, it started to get better and better - and now, nearly 4 months later (yea, i just deal with **** lol), it will hang up cals properly.
I'm actually working on replacing the screen right now, btw

LG G2 -- Screen brightness can't exceed 40%

Hello.
The other day my phone suffered a little water damage. Not submerged in water or anything, but a couple drops found their way into the phone. The phone was turning off/on and functioning, but the display was black. I could feel buttons being pressed and stuff...the screen just wasn't illuminated. Well, I left it alone for a while, and now the screen works to a degree.
It's functioning perfectly, except it can't go above 40% brightness or the phone's screen goes black. As soon as I move the slider at or below 40%, the screen works perfectly again.
Obviously whatever illuminates the screen is damaged to some degree. The same thing happens when using apps like Lux...so I'm pretty sure it's a hardware problem now. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what exactly could be damaged so I can fix it myself, or have anything to try before taking it apart again.
Thanks!

[Q] screen doesn't work after water dmg

So my son got the tablet wet. I let it dry out for a few days then turned it on. Everything seemed fine. It went to home screen but the touchscreen was unresponsive. After about ten second's the screen went negative kinda then blank. It still vibrates and makes noise from notifications and volume buttons. But the screen will not work. Is there a screen replacement I can buy and would that work to fix my problem? If so is there also a video on how to do so? Thank you

Touch screen acting weirdly after fall (Galaxy Tab A (2018, 10.5) SM-T590)

Hello,
My tablet dropped on the floor yesterday. Small fall, and it has a cover. There is no visual damage, but ever since, the touch screen acts weirdly. Works on top and bottom, but not in the center area. So, I have a hard time to even shut it down, as the Stop button is in the center of the screen. I succeeded in rebooting and the problem was resolved for maybe an hour. But then it came back and now even after rebooting, touch screen is still faulty. Also, the screen will turn on by itself every few minutes, even if I don't touch the top right side button. Never happened before the fall...
What can I do to fix this? Is there a software fix? Is it hardware? If so, how much is it to change a touch screen? Am I SOL and will have to look to buy another tablet? This really sucks anyway as this tablet was still perfect for my needs.
Thanks for any input.
