Anything YOU do to YOUR phone is not my fault, please proceed with cautionTo flash your phone:
1. Download RSD Lite, Drivers, and .sbf files from below
2. Install RSD Lite
3. Open RSD Lite as administer (hold shift, right-click on RSD Lite, select Run as administer)
4. Unzip the .gz and extract the .sbf
5. Open RSD Lite, browse for the .sbf file and select it.
6. Power your phone into the bootloader mode (hold volume up and power on, should be a black screen with white text)
[If the bootloader screen says Cannot program, your battery is too low to apply .sbf]
7. Plug phone in and run the driver installer. (You can install drivers before doing all of this)
8. RSD lite should recognize your phone now.
9. Select you phone on list in RSD Lite and press Start
10. Wait for it to finish
Whatever you do, do not unplug your phone from computer or disconnect them in any way

Note: If you bootloop and are stuck at the red M logo, you need to wipe data in stock recovery. To do that, hold the volume down button and continue holding it when you power up the phone. Then, once you see the triangle and android, press both volume buttons at the same time. After that, scroll down and select wipe data/factory reset.

Does it have a password?
I'll upload it again without password, sorry about that!
EDIT:
Done, everything is fine.

Just to clarify, with this we can go back to stock entirely. Losing root, 2nd init, bootmenu, etc, right?

You are right.
But this is just in case there is no way to enter to custom recovery (2init defy) and your phone doesnt boot!

you sir are a lifesaver

Is this OK to get a stock 2.2 that I can then root and restore my apps?
I can't do OTA from 2.1, it fails telling me dlna.apk is missing.
Thanks.

Went ahead and did it anyway, painless and worked very well.
Thanks.

You can use any microusb cable, from a bb or any other phone.
Why dont you download from the market "sideload enabler for bravo"? If you live in usa and ypu are using at&t you can download it and enable install apps off market. Dont know if that is working with 2.1
Then copy or download gingerbreak 1.20. Apk, install it and click on root.

If you read very well instructions you will find how to solve that problem.
Entra al stock recovery, apaga el cel y presiona volumen abajo y boton encender, cuando te presente el android presiona ambos botones de volumen y despues wipe data y cache.

And one more mirror sbf, if you suddenly remove a file hosting. - http://cm.aleeyt.com/ (Section Bravo SBF)

Hi,
I need a little help here, how can i update to the lastest version (B522), when i reboot and press vol + and vol -, i get the pink screen...
Can anyone help?
Extract the folder dload, from the downloaded Official ROM, directly to the root of your SD card. Next time you press vol+, vol - and power instead of the pink screen it will start the update automatically.
The procedure is the same as described in this thread:

Regards!
Here it is, i already swap boot.img file, recovery file, renamed cust.img file and i have the dload folder in sdcard (both internal and external) and i'm stuck, only get pink screen, cannot upgrade to the normal version
i've tried to put boot.img and recovery.img from my 2.2.1 backup doesn't even work! Anyone have ideas???
Regards!
For me I did as follows:
1. Put the dload and update.app file on SD Card as usual
2. Power off the phone
3. Connect the phone with USB cable to the PC
4. Start upgrade with Vol Up+Vol Down+Power
5. This works to downgrade the phone to 2.2 also (in my case i did to B138)
Hope it helps

You only put the file to downgrade, did you change anything on the /image folder?
Regards.
I changed nothing on boot (since with 2.3 final you can't get access to pink screen mounted on PC). With USB cable update will be forced, no matter what, doesn't mater if it's update.app from 2.2 or 2.3.
In 2.2 you get update.app and other file i don't remember the name inside dload folder, that's the only diference.
With this method I updated to 2.3 beta1, beta2 and final, but i downgraded every single time to 2.2 (B138) and restore my Oxygen backup I made with CWM 5.0.2.7.

[GUIDE] fix *failed to boot 1* after flashing 4.5.91 SBF onto 4.5.141 OTA - 03/3/2012

TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK! NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR FAILURE
--> This is just a simple guide\instructions as to what I encountered by taking the 4.5.141 OTA and trying to SBF back to 4.5.95 and how I recovered from the Failed to boot "1" message on the device. <--
My Atrix 4G was a stock rooted 4.5.95 device.
Boot-loader was still locked. I took the 4.5.141 OTA it installed with no problems.
Taking the OTA 4.5.141 killed root of course.
So without reading further and following my DROIDX instincts I thought I could just flash back SBF FULL via RSD down to 4.5.91 re-root and unlock boot loader so I could flash a custom ROM like CM7 on the device so I didn't have to worry with OTA's any longer.
I encountered EPIC FAIL! .
When I flashed the 4.5.95 SBF FULL via RSD it was at 99% writing to the device the device rebooted to install the next code block, but instead the device show Failed to boot 1.
My first instincts were I bricked the device, but I still had fastboot and RSD access. So after reading many places on the interwebs including XDA. I found that I could flash the 4.5.141 FULL SBF via RSD and I would be good to go.
That's when the real fun begin. My battery hit the low percentage mark while I was researching and the device displayed battery to low to flash!!
Now what to do, after reading I either would need to find a way to charge my battery since you can't charge it in the state the phone is in currently, or buy an active 5 pin micro USB cable.
Instead I found instructions on how to create an active USB cable took a little bit to remove the glu from the PCB that the USB wires were soldered to. Basically I just placed a jumper wired from RED PIN 1 to the empty PIN on the PCB viola an active USB cable for FREE. Instead of paying $30 bucks.
My Active micro-usb cable end
SAVE YOUR SELF TROUBLE -- CHARGE YOUR BATTERY! BEFORE HAND! =P
Steps I performed to fix [failed to boot 1 after flash SBF 4.5.91 onto 4.5.141 OTA]
Did a search on google for the 4.5.141 SBF FULL it's about 437 MB
Powered the device off
Make sure you have the MotoHelper drivers installed I was using version MotoHelper_2.0.49_Driver_5.0.0.exe
Insert the USB cable into the Atrix 4G and into your computer if not already done so.
Power on the Atrix 4G if it doesn't power on when you insert the USB cable, DON'T press any keys on the device
The device will enter RSD mode, even tho it may still show only "failed to boot 1" on the screen
Open RSD Lite, I used version v5.3.1
RSD will show your device connected after the driver installs, if they are not already installed.
Flash the 4.5.141 FULL SBF you downloaded via RSD Lite
Wait for the device reboot to complete via RSD it should say PASS after it's finished rebooting which will be displayed in the RSD Lite window, but it may not.
After the device boots, you can either #1 re-root your 4.5.141 device all your data should still be there or #2 Unlock the device using the AT&T [PUDDING AT&T unlock SBF] to allow for custom ROMS like CM7
Note if you decide to go #2 route. Then do #2 first to unlock the boot-loader first NOTE: You will lose your data so backup what you want prior to flashing the PUDDING SBF.
If you don't plan on unlocking your boot-loader just skip to #1 below.
#1 rooting steps
This is the steps I used to re-root
http://www.android-advice.com/2012/root-the-motorola-atrix-4g-running-4-5-141/
#2 Unlock the device using the AT&T [PUDDING AT&T unlock SBF]
Afterwards you can flash a custom recovery with Rom Manager. And flash your custom ROM at your hearts contents. I went with Neutrino ROM V2.5 insanely clean and fast!
I hope someone finds this useful, this is the steps I performed to fix what I encountered, that's all
Thanks to all the devs that made the resources and tools available to assist in allowing me to bring my Atrix back from the dead
Today I have encountered the same problem. Yet, I found far easier way to recharge the battery. Just take any USB cable and cut it like below. Then attach the red wire to + marked on Atrix battery and black one to - with scotch tape (I used masking tape for painting as it leaves no glue)> plug into your motorola recharger or PC and give it some time.

Luckily with the active USB factory programming cable you can use it with no battery at all, your alternative is a much simpler way for certain.

How long should I charge the battery for.
I have the same problem on my Photon 4G. I have charged it for about an hour and over but I still get the same "failed to boot 1" after flashing with RSD lite 5.6 .

Failed to boot 1, is not because of the battery, in my case I encountered failed to boot 1 and a low battery which wouldn't allow me to flash.
It is because of a bad flash or incorrect flash. You will need to locate the correct Full SBF for your device, probably whatever is the lastest SBF for the Photon 4G.
Just wanted to say Thank you Dynamiclynk!! I had the same problem and thought it was done. Was very close to start searching ebay for a replacement Atrix(still under contract and love my docks) till I saw this thread.

Hmm, I checked the MD5 of the SBF (4.5.141) and the original zip file and neither are that MD5 sum above.
My SBF MD5: 0bc556a7fd949317f061e29d88632242
Zip file MD5: 64e5ac5fbf70c98d19dc696ecc7df4c5
Can you verify we are checking the same file, if so, I'll re download.
EDIT: I redownloaded the original Zip and it gave me the same MD5 sum as my original zip download. Extracted SBF is also the same MD5.

Sorry
I was hoping your post would resolve my issue, but I continue to get the same results.
1) I have the 4.5.141 flashed and factory reset.
2) I boot into RSD and try to flash the sbf
- 1FF-olympus-user-2.3.4-4.5.91-110625-release-keys-signed-ATT-US-GAS_NA_OLPSGBATTSPE_P011.sbf
or
- ATT-2.3.4_Pudding_preroot.sbf
3) it creates the image, it copies the code groups, then at 99% it says "Switching device to BP Pass through mode" and when it reboots it throws this error:
"SVF:105:1:2
Failed to boot 0x1000"
I thought it was a bad SBF but they all do the same thing. the Oddity of it is, using the current sbf works so I can always recover it:
1FF-olympus-user-2.3.6-4.5.141-111212-release-keys-signed-ATT-US-GAS_NA_OLPSGBATTSPE_P012.sbf
Any ideas.
Has anyone had recent luck unlocking their Atrix 4G?

Thank you!! I also thought I bricked my phone after trying to flash with 4.5.91 SBF version.
These are the exact steps one need to follow to recover from "Failed to boot 1" error.
I also ran out of battery but luckily had a I friend who also has Atrix.
I swapped my battery with his phone's battery and restored to 4.5.141.
Thanks again!!

[Q] stuck with Stock recovery no usb available

I need advanced help! This is a great challenge!
I used to have CM7 in the defy.
The problem is the phone only powers on when connected to AC power. It does not power up with any computer usb. No idea why the difference.
The battery reads 100% charge.
When the phone is on, I can access stock recovery (not CWM recovery). I did both wipes several times and now I cannot access cm7.
My question is, can I flash any stock update.zip from this stock recovery??
Using RSD Lite is impossible since I cannot power on my phone with the pc. Also, I have downloaded .sbf files, but it looks I need a "update.zip".
thanks in advance for your help!
No podés prender el celular en bootloader mientras lo tenés encufado a la corriente y una vez en el bootloader lo conectas al usb y flasheas tu sbf ?

you can do that without connecting USB.
if u have backup ur stock rom restore it through CWM and if you didnt backup
ask other users to create backup file and upload you can put in SD by putting ur SD in other phone or any card reader and put the backup file in CWM folder and restore it

The first one 7.8.23
Fastboot works, so I can get twrp too,
but normal system boot says system is destoyed, tried installing lineageos, still says system destroyed
Do step by step
Before you do anything Install Qualcomm Diagnostic Driver
1. Connect your data cable in pc without connect your phone
2. Open Mi Flash tool
3. Then connect your phone by pressing volume down + power button
4. Try flashing fastboot rom
Meaning that fastboot is up, rite?
Miflash recognises it, yet unsuccessfully flash, rite?
Twrp booted ok?
Failed to install ROM, if so you better check twrp version and OP of the ROM.
Un millón de gracias!!!!!!!! :'d

You will need to download the original firmware and reflash with Odin, that will fix this error.
Edit: You can get it into download mode, just keep trying...

To enter 'Download Mode' and recover from the error:
Connect a USB cable to your Laptop/PC.
With power-off on the device, hold down BOTH 'Volume Up' and 'Volume Down'.
Connect the USB cable to the device, while holding down both volume keys, and press 'Power'.
If done correctly, the device will boot to 'Download Mode'.

Bro its literally easy
I have flashed tweaked rom on my SM-T820. It worked for a good 6 months and then this error has started to happen. Can reboot once or twice then the security error happens. I then need to reflash original firmware and then twrp, tweaked and repeat. Is there a way to stop this happening?

Y si se hace esto no se borran los datos del celular, fotos, etc.??

Please use English on XDA, per Article 4 of the Forum Rules.
Booting into download mode will not wipe data.
thanks
I have the same problem after trying to flash TWRP on a sm-t295 - tab A.
It seems I need to flash the original firmware - T295XXU4CUF7.
Do you know where can I get it? UK variant.
