what rom kernel baseband is this based off of?
Tell me how to get it. I am the gps go to guy. If it isn't working, I silk get it too.

JPM kernel source... Modem is I think JL3, not 100% sure though...

As we all know, Stelios97 made a working port of ICS for the X10 mini. fifo171 has tested the same rom on his X8 and has confirmed that it works for the X8 as well. This thread is to further develop this rom so we X8 users can have ICS. On the 27th November 2011,troufiniou and has further developed this rom ! Thnx guys !
Notice :In this thread, we'll be focusing on troufiniou's releases. If you would like to try stelious97's rom, the link is provided below but i don't think i will be posting his releases as he is developing for the x10 mini and not the X8, whereas troufiniou is with us in the X8 department. Please do not ask for ETA's and I will not tolerate posts like "when will be ready 100%, when will be stable and etc". Also, if anyone disrespects the thread, not counting if they are disrespecting devs or normal users, you will be reported and hopefully banned ! You have been warned. Also, troufiniou and n1kolaa are working around the clock to get the ICS port working for us, so please show some respect and do not make demands be thankful we even have devs helping us !

Primary objectives : Fix network coverage, wifi, bluetooth, camera, basically everything and compatibility for cypress users (hang in there guys)
If you're not happy with this rom, simply full wipe, wipe cache, wipe data and restore your backup ! As for the kernel, you can use any kernel you prefer.
P.S.
1. I am not a developer. I am merely providing info and links based on troufiniou's progress. All credits go to the devs and the testers.
2. This rom only works with synaptics digitizer users. Cypress users will have to use stock kernel fix (read the requirements section - 1st post) along with v008 for now
3. Please read the 1st page before asking useless questions or making stupid complaints !!!

Yes it is I use this to work on it. For the moment i'm work to the wifi and the Bluetooth. SD Card is not mounted the lag is not big

btw are root apps working for you? on x10 mini port there aren't because there is no su binary installed, if you need it you can download it here. just flash it with cwm

after download the whole cm source (after this command : repo init -u git://github.com/CyanogenMod/android.git -b ics)
its sais to add his htc gits but i add the ones i found for u8800pro (device https://github.com/ivan19871002/cm9_device_u8800pro and vendor https://github.com/ivan19871002/cm9_vendor_u8800pro)
after this it sais to type . build/envsetup.sh and then lunch 4 (i found in the list that 5 is the cm_u8800_full) anyway
after this it sais that u8800pro device not found and it tries to downloaded from cm repositories that of cource didnt exists...any help thank you!

Hi all,
I decided to give the good old CyanogenMod 7 a shot and it finally booted.
As you guys know (or should know already), we are still working to get 2nd stage boot on the GT-I9070
to workaround the fact that this device doesn't have a separated recovery partition.
So the kernel built by CM7 source doesnt work yet (2nd stage issue),
but you can instead use one of the kernels already available (Cocafe's or mine...) and it will boot.
I'm making this available so other developers can help fix the current issues while JB update doesn't come out
We'll certainly need to do this with CM10 code, but I think that getting to know CM7 and locating all proprietary files
may speed up the process with CM10 when (or if) samsung's JB update comes out

- WiFi ( error while loading the driver ) --- working on it...
- USB Mass Storage ( usb popup doesnt show up )
- Bluetooth

1 - Download CM 7 zip file: cm-7-20121227-UNOFFICIAL-janice.zip
2 - Download Cocafe's Kernel: here
3 - Put both files on the sdcard
4 - Reboot on TWRP
5 - Wipe Cache and Data
6 - Install CM 7 zip
7 - Install Cocafe's Kernel ( do not forget this step, otherwise your device wont boot and you'll have to flash a kernel using odin -- or a full stock firmware )
8 - Reboot
* Attention *
- First boot takes quite some time and the boot animation is not working yet,
so you might think that your phone is stuck on the device logo.
please wait at least 5 mins for it to boot.
- You can check if your phone is booting using adb logcat
So now let's make this thing work as it should!

that's just alpha 1, I'm on alpha 4 here...
wifi is now working via terminal after a few changes
just need some time to check the support within the android ui.
also 2nd stage boot is almost working...
no need to flash another kernel after flashing cm7 anymore,
I just need to fix a few other things for it to work properly and I'll upload it.
