Gokh how did u charge your battery when u had that problem I have the same now.I want to tpt but it's just 7% and it'd risky
Yeah this probleme happened when i have fully discharged it and the only way to charge it was to enter in recovery mod (Oo yes its not a joke). Try this before TPT, if the phone is hot so the charge work

16% should suffice for tpt with cm7 flash. But I don't think it will be enough for the first boot.

I think after a tpt,the battery should be getting charged while the phone is off. I don't think there is need for a rom flash for battery to charge.

charger is ok because it can power it on with the battery removed(yes our blade cab do this thing)
So Saaransh9, what about your probleme?
My phone seems to charge but in around 6 hours (2,30 before) and its look like there steps in charging: at ~10% and ~50% it stop charging (become cold) and restart a long time after.
I have tested lot of cables and energie sources but the probleme is very random :sly:

This belongs in question and answers section.
You might be able to fix this by reconditioning your battery, otherwise your battery is just getting old
It could not be getting old I just got it last month
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
Thats how it is.
cm7 and miui have same problems, and its to save you from over charging, and thats some phones start heating up too much.
Don't worry about it, its for your own phones life.
Ok that's good to know and my phone charge extremely slow and sometime not at all but then I reboot and my battery life goes way up wat is that about
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
Thats because your phone is mis-reading your battery's charges.
a Re-condition would help phone re-read it more accurately, but idk how you'd do that since to re condition you have to charge till' 100% lol.
Will they change rom to make it 100 cuz I don't want to go back to 2.2 rom cm7 is to good

the CM7 your using is not OFFICIAL, so the problems your facing is up to the developer to solve, not the CM team because as far as i know, they haven't even supported CM7 for us fully yet.
it's just how cm7 is reading the battery. on one revision i would get a max of 95% then 97% on another. just recondition the battery after its been plugged in for while after hitting the 97%. worst case is you have to recondition your batter again after you flash another rom or it gets fixed.
Do you know what cm7 version they've used as a base for the vibrant version? The Nexus S does this by default, to protect the battery as others have mentioned.

YOU need to re-condition, YOU can fix it.
the people on MIUI or CM7 can't.
As stated its a known thing.
I used my Samsung Focus to charge a battery to 100 percent put it in my phone and it discharged to 95% then back up 97%. So the phone isnt charging the phone up all the way as it is. This is also good for the life of the battery and the battery will last longer. Also it gives and accurate reading. Sometimes with phones if it says 100 percent it is discharging thus you actually only have <95%.
I fixed the problem I just switched to best rom(trigger) then reconditioned and it charges perfect thanks for the help

This is by design and should occur on all Roms. Below is a link to a good Phandroid article tiled "Your Smartphone's Battery Gauge is Lying to You and its not Such a Bad Thing". It really does an excellent job with a fair amount of data explaining why your battery will only charge to 95 - 97%.
It boils down to three options:
The phone manufacturers essentially have three choices:
1. Use older charging styles which actually maintain a full battery, thereby decreasing its eventual life
2. Use new charging methods and have an accurate battery gauge
3. Use new charging methods and have the inaccurate battery gauge

RECONDITION.
I told you before everytime you flash a different rom, the battery is going to be different, so reconditioning is going to help you make it more accurate reading. brah.

You may need to do it a few times.
But since you are on a 2.2.1 rom... no need to worry, when it tells you its at 97% it's actually at 100, soon when you don't notice going from 1% to 2% will take more than regular time, it'll make up for the 3% somewhere along the lines
Ok ill let u know the results of this second try and do I have to recharge when phone off

how exactly did you wipe/calibrate your battery?
I went into CWM, wiped battery stats, and then drained completely then charged fully. I can download a battery calibration app, should I try that?
hmmm seems you did it right, but a calibration app wouldnt hurt either. I recommend using Battery Calibration, I use it after a fresh rom flash everytime and it works very well
Yeah that is the app I'm using right now. Thanks for all help guys.

What?!?!? Do you have a 4000mah battery???
I' m on SB 3.0 with a 1700mah battery, and it takes 2-2:30 hours to charge (from 2% to 100%).
Did you change the CPU governor? I know that for me, smartass governor gives incorrect battery readings and sat at 65 percent charged when it was already fully charged.

It just 1500mAh. It doesn't make sense, isn't it? It hardly takes 2 hours in CM7.2. But on Q28.11, it takes forever.

I also noticed this with the 04.12 build, it took forever for it to climb up to around 70%, but as soon as I connected it to my laptop, it said it was fully charged. No idea, what causes it. I still find that these JB builds are snappy and shiny and stuff, but I wouldn't take my phone outside the house while running these. After 9 months of White Rabbit usage I trust those better.
Did you try to reset the battery stats in recovery?
Or there might be a bug with this rom. The next one could be better?
By what method do you charge your phone, usb or charger? Charging is slower via usb

Hi!
Try fully charging your battery (it should be okay after 3-4 hours) and wipe your battery statistics. This app does the trick.
If it doesn't help, charge your phone after installing another ROM.
If the problem still remains, try another battery if it is available around you. Your battery may have "grown old" with time and needs replacing. But first try the battery calibration steps from above of course.

Calibrate the battery by running it down to 0% and charge it fully.
You can also root the phone and flash a custom kernel that offers great battery life.
Other things you can do...
Turn off sync, turn off GPS, turn off Google now, and lower brightness level to a minimum.

There's no such thing as battery calibration. Just use your phone normally, charging it when you want to.

Don't calibrate now.. your phone will already have the best calibrated battery settings.
Calibrate when you flash a custom Rom and that too,if you face battery problems. Otherwise no need. You'll do more damage otherwise. No need to calibrate if you flash a kernel over stock either.
cm9 htc a310e k2.6
You dont calibrate li ion battery.

And you should never purposely run it down to 0%.

It is a bit of a misnomer as the phone is calibrating the battery scale to match the discharge of the battery. It isn't that there is no such thing, it just isn't what people think.
Get the latest Franco kernel on it. That is all.
