Hi
in my car the phone syncs well and calls can be made or received. I have access to the phone book and call lists.
I can even play the music files from the phone, via the car.
But if I get a txt I'm alerted on the phone, but not via the car.. so if I have the radio on I may not hear the txt alert.
Is there anyway I can get the txt alerts via bluetooth to the car ?
Thanks
is there no way to do this ?
Thanks
Sort of got this working.
The Desire supports Phone & Media via Bluetooth.
If I connect both to the car, then I get no text alerts etc whilst listening to the radio. Neither the car nor the phone beep to alert me.
However, If I'm listening to music from the Desire via the car, then I get text alerts via the car.
Calls always work.
I have now disabled Media on the Desire for the pairing to the car. Now calls still work and text alerts come through to the phone.
Not perfect, I would prefer all the alerts etc via the car, but at least I now know when I get a text !

I got a Jabra BT350 headset which vibrates when there are incoming calls on the 8525 but it does not vibrate when there incoming emails or SMS text message or Instant messagings.
I am wondering if there a hack or a way to make sms or instant messagner or email to send a ring signal to the BT350 so it would vibrate?
Reason I got it is because I am hearing impaired and I wanted to use the BT350 to carry it in my pocket and leave the phone on my desk when it charging and still be able to detect incomings messages by having the 8525 send a call alert to the BT350.
Thanks
Bill
I was looking around Sounds & Notifications and saw that the Incoming Phone have a "Ring" Setting while other does not have that setting so I assume that the BT headset only vibrate when internal ringer is detected.
Is there a way or a hack to make all other notification use internal ring so it would vibrate the headset?
Bill
I heard back from Jarba Support and they said only incoming phone calls will trigger the headset vibrate and nothing else would but there still have to be some signal being send via bluetooth to trigger the vibrate.
I also emailed phonealarm delevopers and they told me if they know what signal is sent then they could possiably of adding a feature to trigger the headset vibrate on any notifications I wanted.
Does anyone know what are sent via bluetooth to trigger the vibrate in the headset BT350 in Windows Mobile 5.0? I know it part of WM5 becasue I did not have to install any additional software on WM5 to make BT350 work unless it was done by the headset itself when it paired up with the phone.
I'll make a nice donation to anyone who can write a software to vibrate the headset on any notifciations I receive on the phone ie sms text / email / instant messages etc instead just incoming phone calls.

Can anyone tell me if the Jabra BT350 supports MS Voice Command? Thx
Hi i have 3 bugs with the DHD
1. When i let Facebook for HTC Sence sync contackt it adds the phonenumber they have added on theyr facebook. The problem is that many of my fb friends have the number i the wrong format (the have not added the + in fron of the country code) When i go to people or the dailer to ring them i can only choose the fb number with it will not call becouse of the error in format. Is there a workaround for this witch lets me use Facebook for HTC Sense?
2. I have set the notification sound to guitar2 but when i recive a email it is a different sound. In sms i have set the modern sound and that works fine. What am i doing wrong.
3. My car stereo has built in handsfree and music bluetooth. I play music from my DHD on the car stereo, but often when i try to take a call or call somebody the volume on the call i very low, i can not adjust it on the phone or on the stereo. I have had several other phones connected to the stereo and never had this problem befor. Anybody got a clue?
My firmware is: 1.32.405.6
Hope somebody can help me.
I've tried several in the app store, including two that i purchased. None seem capable of speaking the caller id through the bluetooth headset. My phone rings through the BT. I have no problem listening to a phone conversation, or music, or netflix through the BT. Why is it that the sound from a caller id program cannot be played through the BT?
And a question need help to solve my problem:
My phone is connected with bluetooth watch GT08 clone, which has built in speakers. I can make and receive calls from my watch. But whenever I receive a call my call audio output is sent to my watch speakers. After picking up the phone I can change it to my phone's earpiece but this is annoying to do everytime I receive a call. Is there a way to force my phone not to transfer incoming call audio to bluetooth?
.... I can disable Phone Audio from my bluetooth profile but then I am not able to make calls or see who is calling me from my watch. Are there a better solution for this issue?
Quite annoying that , no bt notifications app have proper choice to choose answer incomming call on watch or phone? If press answer incomming call on phone , the audio phone call will not going out to watch and viceversa, and if by pressing answer incomming call in watch, the audio call will be in watch...that's much better, right? That is smart watch & smart phone.
EDIT:
Temporary solution is using 'Bluetooth Audio Manager' app to rout phone call audio to phone or whatever Bluetooth device you want...
Hi hello guys how are you. So i have th essential phone and the gear s3 frontier. When the watch is paired to the phone whenever i receive or make a phone call even using the phones dialer. I would get no sound at all. The other person cant hear me either. I noticed that even if i pick up a call with the phone it would automatically switch to the watch. I think it might be a glitch thinking is more like a radio Bluetooth. So even if i switch to the phone or speaker. No audio at all. If i turn off the Bluetooth everything is back to normal. Any suggestions. I would like to keep on using my watch. Sometimes im not near my phone and would like to talk through the watch. If i go into the Bluetooth settings i can toggle the option for voice calls. I would get the notification when receiving a call but on the watch i cant only decline now.
You have to go in BT settings and set the watch not to be used for phone audio
no audio when answering an incoming call, while paired with a smartwatch
hi,
I'm experiencing the same thing, but I would use another title for the bug (see above).
The answer in post #2 is helping me to get audio when answering a phone call, BUT I can't use my smartwatch (Gear S3) for making calls or answering calls anymore.
So when I disable the "phone audio" in the smartwatch Bluetooth connection profile, the phone sends the audio to the earpiece, as no audio Bluetooth device is connected --> audio is available when answering the call.
But as I want to use my smartwatch for making and answering calls, I'd like to get a solution for this.
Side note: there is no audio on both ends. I can't hear the other end and the other end can't hear me. And the "no audio" thing is only present for the first 10 seconds of a call. After that the audio starts to work on both ends via phone (when watch is connected as BT audio device).
