ONLY THING IS YOU CAN ONLY USE WALLPAPERS FROM THE MARKET
AND IT DOES SLOW THEM DOWN WHEN WEATHER IS IN MOTION
BUT THEY DO STICK, WITHOUT THE FIX, THIS IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS

Damaged Tazz meet Kevlar Mash (A great Combo)
I must say that this theme I my opinion is one of the best looking themes I have seen. I seem to be drawn to the sense based "blue" themes. This theme was worth a detour from sense-able. Love all the options with it. I wanted to see what this theme would look like with adding Kevlar Mash. The pictures are below. Will be using this one for awhile. Thanks to the both of you. The live wallpaper with the bubbles coming right at you was a good touch as well

You should be able to, go to my post #4 and you can see the screenshots of this ROM with Kevlar Mash installed(requires Metamorph).

app 2 sd Confirmed Working
Thought I would drop in and confirm that app2sd is indeed working on this rom. I know that there have been in the past ROM's that say that they support app2sd however many people have not been able to set it up. See attached. I'll say it again great ROM.

apps2sd wiped my phone including my navigation and google maps
I'm loving this ROM but now I can't use the gps now? It was there before I put apps2sd on.

Navigation and GPS work on mine.
Is your sd card partitioned correctly?

[Q] [REQ/QUESTION] Battery Full Popup

Hey all, I was just wondering if there was any way someone could make a battery full popup mod (that would turn off that blasted "battery full" notification) that plays nice with custom lock-screens and ROM settings. I currently use the mod found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=816529 flashed on top of Epic Experience v.1.2.0.9 and the Elegant Steel theme. The mod itself works great functionality wise (many thanks to the developer) but whenever I try to use it on top of any ROM or ROM theme it gets rid of any additional power options (like having the reboot option when holding the power button) and any neat custom lock-screen a theme may have is reverted back to stock and that makes me sad. The one time I tried adding a custom lockscreen AFTER installing the popup mod it erased the popup mod. The lack of a popup is priority for me so I will deal with it for now, but I am really thinking I cant be the only one that wants a mod to kill the infernal battery full notification while still playing nice with Roms and theme lockscreens.

Thanks for the reply but yeah I was using Emotionless Beast for a while for that very reason however while I really appreciated everything it had to offer, the whole look and feel of it wasnt for me, so I switched themes and created this post in hopes of finding a mod that would work with all of them.

I don't know how to manually turn it off but I know it's removed in the Syndicate 2.1 ROM. I've tried most other ROM's and have settled on Syndicate.

I Have thought for a while about switching over to syndicate, how would you say it compares to Epic Experience?

IMO Epic Experience is my second favorite, but ACS wins out for me. I just like the feel of it more than anything, especially once I added the battery theme. Try them both and see what you think!

You will love the syndicate rom and xtreme kernel.
There is no way to turn this on and off. Its all done with editing smali

So far so good, flashed it over the theme and everything is intact, battery isnt at 100% yet so I dunno if the popup block is gonna work, but im assuming it will. Thanks again!

ok my bootstrap recovery should be done really soon so i am going to start building some kind of rom soon, what kind of rom are you guys looking for?
a deblurred rom/deodexed ready to theme rom?

I would like to get rid of the start up screen and maybe add the stock android screen instead? I think a /deodexed ready to theme rom WITH blur would be good, and maybe a version without blur. Also, a single percentage battery would be great, with the ability to have a night mode like cyogen-mod.

now that my custom recovery is almost done, i am considering doing a bravo rom next.
maybe a slightly deblurred/deodexed rom to start?
we cant remove 100% of the blur or it will break things like the camera but if we leave like 5% blur as they do on the dx, we will have a mostly deblurred rom.

I would love 95% of blur gone.
However, I am fairly new to droids, with the Bravo being my first one.
what is deodexed?

Black status bar and black/gray swype keyboard would be sweet.

For those who want black status bar, all you need for that is deodexed framework. Then you can just upload the framework-res.apk to UOT and add pretty much anything you want to the look of your phone.

MIUI for novices

Greetings, I am sure I could discover all about MIUI if I looked hard enough, but I thought it might be useful if we had our own Nexus S place where someone like me who has never used or seen MIUI in action could hear from those with previous experience.
I understand its very different from normal android but in which important ways? Are widgets the same? Is the market the same? Will we still have Voodoo sound and colour? Does the app drawer still apply? You see where I am driving at!

I have very limited experience with miui I'll admit but I can answer a few of your questions. Most things are the same however it has its own customer launcher and home replacement for which there is no app drawer. All apps are placed on homescreens for the minuit launcher however you can use adw or lpp and have an app drawer back.

Well its just like any other ROM, kernels will have to be customized for it. I'm sure someone will release a voodoo sound/color equipped kernel for it soon.
Its definitely a switch but one worth giving a shot. I tried it on my Evo but couldn't get Swype working and at the time I was more in love with Swype then I was with any ROM so I gave up after only giving it a few hours. I plan to give it a much more fair chance this time but its a little difficult getting things set up when half of everything is in chinese lol

Lol I assume your chinese comment is sarcasm and I can assure you its usable in chinese. I do not know a single chinese character but for the most part you can work your way through everything. The one thing I'm still looking for is Haptic Feedback because I hate it and its on by default <.<

I personally love MIUI. The lockscreen, when they get it, looks fantastic and nice. The menu screen is extremely different. If you look at the pics you'll see what it looks like. That takes some time getting used. All the apps are on the homescreen now, similar to iOS. You can create folders to organize them. You can also add all the widgets you normally get from the market, on there. The messenger has been modified, it a very good way. It looks really good. Everything else is the same.

From what I understand they don't have any intention of bringing the old lockscreen back. I'm not sure if they will be doing a new one but, again this is my understanding, we're stuck with the AOSP lockscreen.

one thing that strikes me regarding the original MIUI ROM being chinese natively... is that AOS is supposed to be roughly international No?
even if it installs as Chinese, you should be able to go into settings and change it to English?
like when i change English to Spanish and Vice versa in the stock ROM or some other Custom ROMs

MIUI is fully customized. And no this isn't the case, its set to English by default and the MIUI ROM is a hybrid of English and Chinese.
The English language pack is now available (~30MB) in the MIUI thread.

Simply, it is an iOSish Android ROM.

it wasn't that bad. the icons in settings were pretty relevant.
its fine now. just the notification power widgets is still in chinese.
only complaint i really at this point is white background with white text.
will probably go back to CM7 when the next nightly comes. i prefer having all black to maximize super amoled screen

That, the download issue and the lockscreen are my complaints. Not going to lie...without the custom lockscreen MIUI is CM7 with a custom launcher <.<

my engadget, photobucket and some other apps FC'd on me so i reverted back to CM7. probably going back to it on the next release and see how it is.
for some reason, my ADW EX settings doesn't get restored when im on MIUI but works for CM7 and other 2.3 based roms. weird

Download issue can be solved by switch the download mode to start download under any network.
Open Downloads app -> Press Menu button -> Select the right one to switch to start download under any network
Refer to the MIUI forum, since the new UI is still under development, so the custom lockscreen not integrated yet on the first release

Cant really find the "Downloads app" setting. Have a tip or an image of where u mean?

I used to wonder the same myself. To me it just looked like Android with an iPhone interface.
However I tried it and found things like...
toggles in the notification screen (configurable)
battery stats that go into a LOT of detail (configurable)
full skinning that allows you to mix and match theme elements on the fly (configurable)
built in call/sms firewall (configurable)
built in application security w/password (configurable)
They're just off the top of my head. There's so much more that it does above and beyond regular Android. Other than the configurable toggles in the notification screen (swipe left/right from notifications to get to a full screen of toggles) I've not seen anything that you can't do with apps, but it's all there and all works together.
Also, in my opinion it has the best browser available for Android.
There's more, but I guess you're getting that it's very configurable

this is the link to the download. but MIUI said on their fb they are uploading one by one and as of now the rom for s2 is still not up... =) fortunately i know a bit of chinese.

its been there since coupla weeks if am not wrong. and yeah they have weekly releases.
as far the MIUI port and builds out for SGS2 , I have tried a few and the general thing is battery life is not as good as sammy ROMs, battery stats are totally wrong (its a known issue). FM and Bluetooth work now.

The official rom is being released as we speak on the Chinese miui website... But that's in Chinese so we will all have to wait a day or 2 until miuiandroid translate it into english... But yes this is official support, and hopefully fixes alot compared to the .21 release...

The webiste is showing the S2 development rom for download. Only problem is, it doesnt give any info on installing this rom!
Does it have to be flashed via Odin?
ZIP placed on SD and Installed via CWM?
Do we Wipe any of the cache's?
Is data stored or everything deleted?
Anybody got the answer to these questions?

as far the MIUI port and builds out for SGS2 , I have tried a few and the general thing is battery life is not as good as sammy ROMs, battery stats are totally wrong (its a known issue). FM and Bluetooth work now.
