V6 Supercharger Issues - EVO 4G General

Needing some help here. Running the Express ROM and Anthrax kernel. Ran the V6 script and really liked it for about a day. I have since noticed that whenever I try and open it in script manager the V6 script says file is corrupted and the second option that worked was clicking install busybox which now says the file is corrupted as well. So I have no way to go back and try another setting or anything...any help is appreciated.

I believe the express ROM has v6 preinstalled. By you running the script, I think you might have screwed with the settings and therefore corrupted the file. This is all speculation since I haven't used the ROM in awhile nor have I used v6 since papasmurfs tweaks have been working phenomenal.
If you are really bugged about it, reflash the ROM and the v6 settings should set again

exactly, what you have done is installed the older v6 over outers rom that already had the tweak installed,so it corrupted the script,in the build.prop, just reinstall the rom and kernel, but not the v6 script.

Thanks guys. I will give it a shot

Fresh Toast Kernel link

Anyone got a link to fresh toast with bfs and fps?
The fresh updater doesn't work, says the mirror doesn't exists.
The Fresh Updater works fine. You're just a retard. Follow the tutorial on geekfor.me on how to update the server info in the updater, then update to your heart's content.
And the kernel is in the dev forum. Use the search bar. Of course, then again it's on the first page.*rolleyes*

kernel =! rom
You could run one of the programs in ava toolbox to extract the kernel from fresh's rom. I'm not sure if there is a program to make a zip file out of the extracted kernel to flash it though.

I'm actually looking for this
http://geekfor.me/new-release/fresh-toast-experimental/
but doesn't really matter anymore, settled on king's kernel for now.
the download on fresh updater probably isnt working because that is a 2.1 kernel and will not work on fresh now. anyways, kings kernel is probably the best one out there since fflokes kernel imo. if it was the server you can reset it to default in the app and i'm sure you would have been smart enough to do that if you were smart enough to know how to flash a kernel.

ROM Manager premium

I'm trying to decide if I want to go to the premium rom manager. I've been loving on some skyraider for a long time but I keep hearing about miui roms. Any suggestions?

i wont go premium until they fix it for HTC Incredible. When using ROM manager, after installing a ROM from the app and going in to recover autmatically(it gives you this option after the inital download) after the download it wont install automatically. I have to go toggle the the security(or whatever its called)disable and then download from sd card and look for ROM manually. I have reported to the deveolper but never no responce. But I would love to use the ROM manager how its supposed to be. If it loads the ROMS for you automatically I would suggest on buying. Great App!

I've been using it on my dinc with absolutely no problems. I've used it to flash more roms than I care to think of. I don't know why you're having trouble.
OP: Support the developer, I got premium.
I guess my real question is is the miui rom worth paying for rom manager?

Same here. Other than Clockwork Mod having issues since I have a new SLCD Dinc (for which there are fixes) the app works flawlessly. I bought it if only to support the developer.

I used MIUI for a day and wasn't all that impressed. Yeah, it was flashy and shiney and new, but once that wore off, it wasn't anything special in my opinion. Went back to SkyRaider.
Its worth it if you like how the roms look i like them and ive never had a single issue
Besides miui and cm nightlies what other benefits are there from going from free to premium?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I do agree that supporting the Dev is nice and that's why I don't use the ad free app.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Doesn't it let you install from SD too or something?? I kinda of went premium aright away
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
ROM manager is a life saver for me, i have had zero issues as well. bought it to not only support the dev but because it's just an essential app for any ROM flasher.
i use adfree because i dont like apps that send personal information to ad agencies. it's a privacy issue for me. i buy apps if there is a version available.
Can't you just download the roms yourself and flash via recovery? That's what I do....never have to use rom manager unless I want to fix permissions or something.
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
Rom manager premium is a great app. Way too many benefits like "Fix permissions".
Costs lesser than the value of the time you have spent trying to figure it out. Seriously!
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
Well worth it!
Install ROM from SD Card
Download ROM
Check for ROM Updates
Install from QR Code
Manage and Restore Backups...
- Restore
- Rename
- Delete
Backup Current ROM
Fix Permissions
and more!
I bought it to support the developer first, but it has been a great lifesaver. On the other issues you brought up:
- Works fine on my Incredible, all the features with no issues
- MIUI Rom looks beautiful, but works only ok. I was running into all sorts of different issues, not the least of which being file locations and then it did something to my SD card that caused about 4 hours of rework. Fortunately I have been flashing since my Windows Mobile days and am finally smart enough to keep a full backup of everything I really need. I will say that it seems to run the fastest and in the smallest footprint though.
- I agree with the GamerZ, I went back to SkyRaider as usual. Rock solid and stable.

congratulations..the app it self is fine no problems with downloading or anything. Its just rebooting in to recovery. It never installs automatically. I always have to manually wipe and clear data/cache and install from sdcard..until thats fixed for MY phone ill stay on the free app

That's to bad it doesn't work for you.
Works fine for me with most ROMs.
Currently running Skyraider3.3.3 and it works fine. When I upgraded from 3.3.2 to 3.3.3 I downloaded the ROM with ROM Manager and was given 2 options:
1. Backup Current ROM
2. Wipe (can't remember the exact words in the menu)
When the ROM was Downloaded there was an icon in the notification bar, I clicked on it and it said "Download Complete". I clicked on the notification and my phone rebooted into recovery, done a backup - installed the ROM and rebooted my phone.
All with no user interaction other than clicking the notification to start the process.
I have had other ROMs that when I try the same thing it will not reboot to recovery. I have to manually reboot recovery (I usually do it from a command prompt) then it will start the install.
On those ROMs selecting "Reboot into Recovery" didn't work either.
I have used it enough that I think different ROMs handle this differently.
I've never had any problems with rom manager. I always download my roms here on xda (like miui, for example) and flash them through rom manager, though.
Premium didn't really have anything I needed, but I got it anyway because koush is awesome.

Tried a few days ago - everything seemed to be working fine for normal use.
But had my tab reboot several times when downloading a large file. Uninstalled havent had a reboot downloading same file.
May or may not work for you. Probably need to fine tune settings in script but my tab is running smooth regardless.
People should be very skeptical about messing with the memory management in an OS.
Same thing for task killers...they can be helpful to kill an application(to stop it from running in the background), but an auto task killer is generally not a good idea...not on android and not on Linux or windows.
Free memory says nothing, as it's better to use memory then to not use memory performance wise.
Not saying that this can't be the exception to the rule(bad idea to not use the OS's internal memory management), but i'm not convinced.
In android, nothing to worry.
You reflash. You can do anything. Hope you find your sweet spot.

Just flashed this on my ThunderBolt running BAMF 2.1 GingerStripped and my T-Mobile Galaxy Tab running Overcome Hermes.
IMO Overcome Hermes + Juwe 11 Script = Overcome Icarus.
If Overcome Icarus + Juwe 11 Script = ????
IMO it will smoked ipad by mile.
It super fast.
This both AB86 and Juwe 11 is genius.
Thanks a million.
thanks trying this now

How much RAM do you have running this script? My Tab has less free RAM while running it (used: 230mb before and 310mb after the script).
As already stated in this thread, it's not the purpose of the script to give you the most amount of free memory at all times but to optimise memory use for max performance.

hm doesn't seem to work on my phone.. I was on Urban Regen and I flashed it and it hung at the samsung logo. Then I had to wipe and reinstall so I tried SFR1.2 and it hung at the samsung logo again?! I'm using the universal version btw.
do I have to delete everything in the init.d folder then flash?
Just did the same to me on SFR 1.2. Looks like I'm going to nandroid back
Did you guys check init.d folder to see if you have more than 8 files before adding it? I read that people are deleting everything in init.d if they do then add this with success. I haven't had a chance to try it yet myself.

/system/etc/init.d
use a file browser with root. either es or root explorer.
I need you to hold my hand a little more. I can't find system.
Edit. I found it and I have 9 files in there. What do I do with that? Is there only supposed to be no more than 8?
Edit 2. I deleted the supercharger file in there and am going to rety

This has been answered several times in the last week. The search works. READ in the development section which ROMs updated recently with the new kernel like the stock one with Heimdall in the title, ACS v6, or grab ANY ROM there and flash Nubernel on it.
may the stockish build6..

I have been using [ROM]ACS ICS v6 (Now with moar gps! (and a theme)) [eh17]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295515
I have also been using the above ROM with the following kernel
[KERNEL][ROOT][GB][EH17] nubernel-2.6.35_v0.0.0
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1326679
Before you apply the following theme, that installs lockscreenmods amongst other really cool items (reboot, recovery, etc), download the .zip to your machine and open the .zip and remove the /system/apps/phone.apk from it before flashing to your phone:
[THEME][EH17][ACS] ░▒▓█4.0 ICS█▓▒░ [lockmod]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1320894
With everything above, I have a stable GB ROM with no reboots and no FC on phone calls ending. Battery life has been slightly better than SFR 1.2 and I use this as my daily driver with 0 issues (other than some lock screens showing erroneous battery details, but if that's the only thing so far then so be it).
