HTC P3300 and nothing works!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone............
My friend bought a HTC P3300 and nothing works on it!
I mean nothing what so ever!
So i swapped it from him, coz he was going to throw it away................
they say no 1 can help me, so i am here to ask the LEGENDS
Where do i start and so on..........
Must i throw it away?????

whats wrong with the phone? it doesnt turn on? please elaborate on the problem.

bootloader mode
start by trying to get into bootloader mode.
if you can do that it's a good start.
after that, try to CID unlock.

The ppl that would best know how to fix a P3300 would usually be loitering P3300 sub-forum no?
But before you post there, do provide more details. Your current post resembles those people that tech support hate. It's not working describes absolutely nothing and gets you pretty much no response than to junk it and buy a new one. The more information about the current state of the phone you provide the better others can help you. Even the greatest rom cookers of all time are generally not psychic..

can you access any menu?
Where does it hang, if it hangs?
HAve you tried a hard reset? (when phone is on, hold red and green, press reset holding red and green, release reset but keep holding red and green, on prompte, release both and press green if I recall, I sold mine about 3 months ago)

[Q] Are the new Vibrants Hardware Locked?

After having a locked Vibrant for a month, I returned it. I figured I'd wait for a month, and check out the new G2. Now I'd like to get another Vibrant, but only if people are getting the non hardware locked phones now.
So, my question is to anyone who has gotten a new Vibrant in the last 2 weeks. Are the Vibrants that are shipping now still hardware locked?

I just picked up a new one at a T Mobile store 2 days ago because my old one was locked. The new one is not locked and works like it should.

You can tell if it's hardware locked, if you are unable to use the hardware buttons to get into recovery.

Thanks for this info, I may take the plunge again. Having a locked device is a deal breaker for me.

I got mine about 3 weeks ago and it is locked.

Turn the phone off
Hold volume up and down and power.
Let go when the Vibrant logo comes up.
If you get into recovery then your phone isn't locked. My friend has a locked one and we used the multi-tool to get to recovery the first time to root it and then clockwork the rest of the time after that.

[Q] bricked?

I have a HTC magic fender and it is bricked i belive im not really good at the android op system as i am a ios man myself but im trying to unbrick the phone for a friend. so here is what it will do and what i will not do.
it will charge.
it will turn on BUT it will not go past logo screen (stays as the HTC MAGIC screen)
i can enter blue light mode.
can not enter recovery mode
my friend said he was trying to install a new radio what ever that means.
im new to this forum so please please please if you can help that would be awesome or direct me a forum where i can get my answer thank you guys so much!

As far as i read in the forums, once you bricked it, there's no other way(software to unbricked) it....but if your techinal guy can do soldering of chips may do...
i'l try to find that forums and give the link to you.

Can you get into fastboot or hboot? Try turning the phone on holding back+power and see you get anything different.

Nothing i try holding the button that looks like a back arrow and the red power button and nothing just boots back to htc magic screen :/ i really wanna get it fixed cuz he sell the phone to me cheap if i can fix it xD haha ill look around and see what i find... if we could get into recovery mode that would be awesome.

Then you've got a brick. The JTAG method your only option to fix.

Explain please?

JTAG is a method that involves creating a serial connection from your computer to your phone to get into the mainboard and making changes. It involves about $80 in hardware costs plus you'll need decent electronics knowledge. There's a guide in the Wiki on how to do it, but it's no simple task.

[Q] Should I buy a messed up T-Mobile US HD2 for $30

I found someone on craigslist selling a T-mobile HD2 stuck on the pink loading screen for $30. Is this something that could be fixed? Sorry if this is ambiguous. I assume it is still on stock winmo 6.5.

Hope you get it, as long is not bricked then i say your getting a very good deal. When you meet him try putting the phone in bootloader mode by turning it off and holding the volume key down after you turn it on again, if it goes into the colorful screen then get it, you'll be able to flash another rom

got mine on craigslist from some kid for $100 flat minus the sd card...currently dual booting WP7 and ACA CM7mod. sucha beautiful thing
good luck and i hope you get it!

i would be so happy the get such a deal. tried to get a second hd2 today but even the broken ones don't get out for under 200$.

Bricked HTC HD2

Hi guys, I am attempted to unbrick my friend's HD2? The phone will not turn on. When I plug the phone into a wall charger, it will charges, but without anything on screen. I cant turn it on and it won't vibrate. Please help!
I believed that he was trying to flash it to Android?

Bootloader is the power and two volume buttons together right?

Volume down plus power, ,, both plus power is hard reset.
Which model HD2? Tmous or regular?
’trying to flash Android,, ’ did your friend byanychance follow a guide that said he must flash some rom to downgrade the spl? (All non Tmous stock roms will brick a Tmous)

Volume down plus power = no reaction
I have no idea. He had abandoned this phone for at least a year and I am sure he doesnt remember of what he did.

as i understand, a bricked HD2 (cannot enter into bootloader) can no longer be revived..
is that still holds true or is there a new way to unbrick it aside from jtagging? any thoughts please...

Seeing that it is a TMOUS and it will not boot to bootloader it is probably radio bricked. The only fix for this is JTAG, contact MobileTechVideos.com they offer JTAG services and are the best I know
plus their price is very reasonable as well as they offer a money back guarantee if they can not revive the device.

Nope no new way that I know of besides JTAG to fix a bricked HD2.

Without checking post1 cos im mobile,, ,have you confirmed its not just simply a flat battery?

What do you mean by a flat battery? faulted battery?

sorry mate, me too once had in the same condition as urs i guess, no other way around than JTAG

riff box is there for a reason. its user friendly making jtag procedure as simple as ABC..
flat battery = no power (busted or no charge, as the case maybe)

There is another possibility that has happened that know one has brought up yet. Sometimes there can be a screen issue causing the phone not to show a display. This happened to me before and I just used my insurance I have through T-Mobile to get the device fixed. Even if you don't have a warranty through your carrier you could call up and talk to them about it. Just say something like you woke up in the morning and looked at your phone and it was blank. That there is no damage and your not sure why it just all of a sudden stopped working on you after a nights charge. Sometimes just knowing what to say works. Not always but you could luck out, worst thing is they say there is no warranty left.

I would agree it is a long shot. I've had great luck though by simply calling back. Like lets say I get an answer I want, I'll hang up and call back to talk to someone else. Normally that does the trick. For instance one time I had a problem with my credit card company after bring in the hospital for awhile I hadn't made a payment. One person said I would need to make a $400 payment and there was nothing they could do to help. I hung up and called back, talked to someone different and that person took off $400 from my bill so I didn't end up needing to make a payment. Just shows that you slipped be persistent.
