Hi Guys,
I know their is many post about this but I cant find any that are directed to my problem.
First I rooted my kindle using the KFU then installed TWRP. I then went ahead and flashed if with the Energy Rom all went well but the Kindle crashed alot so I decided to try one other Rom. I then installed the MIUI install went well but after restart I'm stuck at the yellow triangle with the flames on it.
When I try to connect KFU or Kindle fire unbrick both do not recognise my kindle. I noticed in the device manager when force shutdown of the kindle and restart the kindle will first be recognised, then gone from the list. I have tried the driver from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20855280&postcount=54 but still no luck.
Any help would be much appreciated.

i recieved a kindle fire for xmas yesterday (awesome wife ) and i have successfully rooted the device, installed cm7, and am loving it so far. im in a bit of an information overload though and thought maybe someone could help me out with something... everytime i restart the device it shows the yellow triangle before going into the cm7 boot animation. is there any way to bypass this and go straight to the boot animation??? which brings me to my second question. is there any way to replace the cm7 boot with the original kindle fire boot animation???? im sorry if these have been answered but i couldnt find then. thanks
The triangle is the recovery. Why are you rebooting your device often?
You should not need to reboot your device regular basis.
im not just didnt like it being there when i do

Without it being there then you would have no option to enter recovery mode, I suggest closing your eyes and counting to three when you reboot

Were you successful using the Kindle Fire Utility script to root your Kindle Fire? Any of the versions?
The link to this utility is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399889
BTW... the actual POLL doesn't show in XDA Premium...
I was partially successful(my Kindle Fire got stuck in fastboot when installing TWRP, but I fixed it)
Sent from my Kindle Fire using xda premium
I was successful (using .8), but only after I manually installed the drivers using a different method. However, rooting the device and the rest of it worked fine.
Using 9.1 I think will solve the problems for those who read the instructions carefully.
reading carefully
read carefully. watched you tube carefully...still stuck on device offline. Hmm....
After days of trying...different computers ....driver issues.

It has only taken one attempt on all 3 of the Fires that I've used it to root.
sir,
i have tried to root my kindle fire using the latest kindle fire utility package 0.9.6 . After running the file run.bat
i got following displayed on my pc screen....
at various places it said failed and at last there it was written permanent root has been installed.
But i do not find any difference in my kindle. Please guide me i am a beginner
I have attached screenshot of my pc to let you know what actually KFU has done.
If not rooted what should i do now...and if rooted how can i use application with wifi access using proxy.
help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I have a feeling that KFU has no extra checks in it to see if it really is rooted. That would explain why it says its rooted after all the fails. I would say your device is NOT rooted.
Here's a couple things to check.
1. Is the super user app installed? Look in your apps for it.
2. Do you have FireFireFire bootloader installed? Turn off your Kindle wait a few seconds then turn it on. Does the splash screen have the words "kindle fire" in blue? If so then you have FFF installed.
3. Last check. Is TWRP installed? Turn off your Kindle and turn it back on. This time as soon as the blue "kindle fire" appears press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds. That will get you into your recovery where you can and should make a backup now.
If all of these tests work then kfu was successful and you can start flashing roms or whatever else you wanted to do after you rooted it.

I think the part you are referring to is in the 1st screenshot which says that he didn't already have it so it was downloading. I am betting that it was properly downloaded and installed. I don't have screenshots to compare from when I rooted mine but I remember it looking just like his. Worst case if he tries the steps I posted he will find out it didn't work and can continue from there. It should take about 2 minutes to try it so he might as well before downloading files he may not need.

He is definitely not rooted. It says check_root failed.
Fff and twrp didn't install (correctly) either.
To op: I suggest you root it manually. It's actually not that hard.

urns out I was trying to rooting and installing on my kindle fire android 7 inch HD achieves root but when you try to install the apk TweezerMod gave me run and put the Kindle screen in red and there does not pass that I can do I have only my tablet 15 days ago help!!
This mod appears to be for the kf2 not the kfhd,
It sounds like you flashed an improper image of some sort, and your lucky you still get some life out of your kindle...
I would wager at this point you need a fastboot cable and to reflash your kindle, after you make a fast boot cable look at the restore tool thread in the android dev section for the kfhd 7

I wonder why we are so impetuous and threw ourselves(I included), without reading other's experiences, to do things that can potentially break our beloved devices?
One sees that adventure is adventure, but as well that with only a bit of patience reading the archive almost all the "casualties" could have been avoided....
My kfhd is on. because when I press the power button and turn on the device is displayed kfhd logo in orange and immediately placed the red screen and my pc does not detect when connected by USB cable manufactures. What I can do? Help me
That's the point, calm down and read this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1951254
Start with the basics before doing something worse. Read from the beginning to the last (83th) commentary. Is the correct form of doing things.
But first of all, the necessary cable is not that of the Kindle, is a especially modified one named "factory"that has 5 volt on the middle contact(5 pins) of the micro-usb, unused in your "manufacturer" cable.
You can find that special cable here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20380015#post20380015
kindle fire hd 8.9 v8.3.1 help
i recently bought a kindle fire hd 8.9 v8.3.1, which i rooted and install go launcher ex successfully. after reading up on cm10.1 i went in pursuit of this mod. using KF first aide v4.1.87-beta i backed up my device then proceeded to installing the 2-bootloader and twrp 2.4.4.0 for KFHD 8.9. upon completion of the installation when my kindle rebooted there was no kindle fire logo in blue, only the normal logo boot up and then my screen turn red. i cant perform any function except to power on/off the device. when the device is off and pulled into my computer device manger displays my kindle till the screen turns red then it disappears. can any one help me with this problem as to reset or restore my kindle fire hd to default or factory settings this would be greatly appreciated .. thank you very much!
You did not reflash the boot loader, buy a fast boot cable, and restore the original os...this is now your only option...after doing that re read hash codes thread on cm10 especially taking note of the step 4.5

Fast boot cables do NOT work on the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 nor are they needed.
Friend Might be a little more specific

If you have a factory cable which you can buy from SkOrPn, then you can use KFHD First Aide to recover your kindle. Just follow the steps, it's easy as 1,2,3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2096888

Proceeding at all with 7.4.7 is at own risk. I have a used tablet coming in the mail and will be here Tuesday. I will restore and test out rooting with binary and try some KFFA things with 7.4.7. I won't know anything until late Tuesday evening. Maybe someone will come along with some information before then. If not, I will let you know then.
Edit - Because this is possibly new hardwareI have edit my response to say just don't try it until you here from those who made the scripts give the all clear. I thought this was just an update to the 2012 Kindle Fire HD and the new Kindle Fire HD. This may not be the case. Until it gets sorted out, probably best to wait for the devs to sound off.

How did you tried? Did it root? Did you have a factory cable?
Try this...
Get Bin4ry's root and extract the 'fakebackup.ab'. Get ADB set up and working and enter the following:
Code:
adb restore fakebackup.ab
If the restore screen pops up, where it says "restore my data" at the bottom (don't press on it though), then there's a good chance they didn't patch the exploit. If the ADB restore hasn't been disabled, I would say go ahead and try to root it. It probably wouldn't hurt to make sure the factory cable still works though.
Confirmed as working

I Have successfully rooted my kindle fire HD 7 - 7.4.7
With the Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v31
1) WHILE KINDLE IS UNPLUGGED Uninstall all kindle Drivers:
Download The adb drivers from the post
2) Go to settings on Kindle Enable ADB
3) Plug kindle in,
When the device is recognized you can now root.
4) Open the tool, Select option one, and read the instructions on the tool.
Enjoy!

You can try again. One will install some launchers with it too. Be careful though. Using this tool on the 4th generations is not widely tested. Not that I know of anyway.

Hi, My kindle is not the newest one, so I assume it's normal Kindle fire HD 7'', I tried to run it another few times with different setups on my pc etc. same error every time. It's weird that it says it's rooted but I can't get most of the thing working, perhaps I should try to put in recovery, alt boot loader and install some different rom. But because I'm not confident about my root I rather use amazon-handicapped device than get a brick.
I would not proceed until your root is working properly. Sometimes the rooting process has to be repeated. You will want to get a fastboot cord just in case if you try to install ROM.
Just the other day I had to run root and restore 4 times before it took. Ended up I got the one that installs Apex launchers as well and just installed that afterward.

Hi, to install 2nd bootloader and twrp and then cm11 factory cable isn't needed. Kffa want downloading files to downgrade to7.2.3 so I got it manually inhaled then twrp and cm11 no problem. But then cm11 started crashing so I rebooted kindle butit dinner start, in twrp it reported that storage can't be mounted, I have pushed Rom using adb but it wouldn't install due to storage issue soI used that tool to recover kindle but after successful installation I got into a reboot loop. Factory reset cable is already ordered. After cm 11 issues I don't know if I'll try it again.
