Hello! I just joined xda (I should've joined years ago!) and I am an android fanatic, iOS hater, and I'm pretty experienced. About me, I used to have a myTouch 3G Fender edition (I play guitar). And now I have a SGH-T989 (T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II) and, you guessed it! A kindle fire. On my SGH-T989 I have CM7 that I themed to appear ICS like. On my Fire I have CM9 with the cool APEX and Nova Launchers. I am experienced with most developer tools and tricks. I don't know why I hadn't joined xda until now! I have not developed any ROMs from scratch but I have modified and themed many for my own use. Thank you for reading this!
Hey! Welcome!

Trying to find the froyo Rom from last year, can't find it anywhere, any dev have this or a rockin theme for any gb rom? I could put some crap on here from the marketplace but it is what it is... It would be sweet if this sparked a devs interest, as I don't see any Christmas stuff in here this year... Any dev with some Christmas spirit, (as I don't have much this year) feel free to take over this thread;-) Maybe get some donation flow...
I was just searching forums to see if any Devs have posted a Christmas ROM. Glad you posted this idea. Hopefully someone does it. I kinda like an over the top Christmas theme for a few weeks. It's geeky fun. I used EVOZone's last year, but he's moved onto the EVO 3D.
Thanks and yeah I know, Hell I'd even sport froyo again just to have a real integrated Rom but I can't find any live links for it, hmmn... Maybe someone will actually read this that has more knowledge than I. Lol, I'm gonna have to start learning how to dev, damn it;-)

Perhaps Christmas themed cm7? There isn't alot of real over the top themed roms anymore... I miss the good old days of mikfroyo and warm twopointtwo

Getting an atrix to play with and have a couple questions.
is there an Miui?
How many custom roms are there?
What are people looking for in custom roms?
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda premium
1) MIUI in progress, look in the dev forum, should be a thread there
2) there are a lot of custom roms based on the stock GB firmware and the CM7 firmware(all with various tweaks). I really don't know how much though.. 10? refer to #1.
3) personally I need something lean and fast... I could care less about fingerprint and webtop.
If I got the the right rdannar, he is a talented dev from the x10 forum a while back. I hope you consider producing a Rom or two. What we need is if possible a very light blur Rom built for speed and fully functional. Or you can team up with the miui or cm team for webtop ideas. Glad your considering helping us with the ATRIX. Welcome.

Ninja, Darkside, Aura, CM7 (All the roms based on CM7 as well) are either de-blurred or have 2 different versions, one with blur or very minimal blur. What exactly are you looking for?
1. MIUI is currently in Alpha 2, no details on the Beta release yet, but here's the thread.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1383721
2. Quite a few ROM's for the Atrix.
-Darkside ROM (Nottach)
-Alien ROM (Kenneth from Briefmobile, not being updated)
-Aura (Diviance, not being updated anymore I believe)
-CM7 (Atrix Dev Team, working on CM9 now)
-Ninja (Sam Cripp)
-GingerMod (Evogp)
-RedPill and RedPill CM7 Hybrid (Dorian from Atrix Forums Website)
There's more but that's some of them, most of them rather that I know are still on the 1-2 page.
3. Mainly, when I look to flash a ROM, I would like it to be stable, smooth, fast, minimal blur or none at all.

I was okay on x10. I am more of a cook or porter with some Dev skills. I puta lot of roms out for x10. the good old days. then did some ROM for the Motorola bravo, lg thrill, galaxy s2, and soon this I hope.
I know people ask this all time, but was asking for other reasons then noobs do. Thanks for the info everyone. I could search but liked the feedback of users.

lean and fast i mean real lean and fast is
neutreno rom by notorious544
fastest benchmarks of any rom; cm7 based or blur for atrix yet i was 14 pionts shy of 7000 on antutu
bench with fauxs old 1.4.5 kernal
with no undervolt and.maxed.min and max
I use neutrino (hopefully I spelled that correctly). Also welcome to the Atrix side glad to have you. There is a KANG CM9 in progress but the OP on that thread doesn't seem to have much more to say.
The Atrix Dev Team are great guys I think they would be happy if you could help them.

Hope you like the atrix! Coming from the x10 I sure do!
I can tell you what i'm looking for in custom roms though. ICS! We have a port but it's really an alpha, much like the x10 one.
See? ... Another proof that the Atrix 4G is still very alive and kicking!!!
(in reference to another post where pessimistic AT&T employees are saying that the Atrix 4G has reached it's end of life.)
Welcome to the Atrix rdannar
Thanks for all feedback.. I should have it today. The first thing I usually do is deblur and slim down a rom to get used to its files... Then theme and framework.. Then who knows? I have a Gs2 that I do roms (waiting for ics and new computer to do more) for so this will be a toy...

Just wanted to say thanks to all the members of this forum old and new alike. I have been a member here since the early days (remember the Flipz Fresh Roms "reminiscing") but I'm finally moving on. Funny thing is, my Hero is still running strong! I hate to hang it up but I guess it's time.
Good luck to you all!

Who am I?
People know me.....Just sayin.
I went and did it. I jumped into the upgrade bandwagon and pre ordered a galaxy s3. I would like to say that I truly enjoyed my experience on the nexus s4g forums. So many helpful and friendly people. It was definitely among my favorite forums.
I would like to take the time and say thanks to all the Developers for making my experience with the nexus s4g very enjoyable and making my nexus my favorite phone so far. If the developers on the gs3 forums are even half as good as you were, I know I will enjoy my new phone just as much.
I would like to especially thank the euroskank team and mathkidd for making a great daily driver rom and kernel combination that allowed me to enjoy my nexus so much. I would also like to thank John C. for his help in creating my skunk setting and being a friend. BTW... When are you going to send me those video cameras.
Anyway I wish all of you great success and hope you all enjoy the nexus as much as I did.
Happy Flashing!!!

Hello everyone
Hello everyone
Newbie here in the world of rooted android. Just succesfully rooted my phone and the addiction kicks in. So far only tried to flash 3 ROMs. Android Rev HD, CFX and Sabsa Prime. I would say ARDH is the most stable, CFX very impressive but have to wait for minor bug fixing and Sabsa stayed in my phone. Its totally awsome for me. There are still minor bugs need fixing but can live with it for now. Waiting for the currently update 10.1 OTA to be fixed.
Am enjoying experimenting with kernels version.
My device : HTC Desire HD
ROM : Sabsa Prime v10 by Alireza (Thanks Ali for this superb ROM)
Kernel : 3.0.41 Beastmode v1.5 p2pjack
Hoping for all members to help get through the mods!
Sharing is caring, Cheers!
Oh man...that Razor isn't going to stay stock for very long once you start having fun on the Desire.
