Well my back button sometimes gets stuck and wont work. And i searched and it said maybe to open the phone and fix it,but i dont wanna do that. How can switch it for it to be on the genius button.or how else to fix the button? Im using button savior right now but i dont like it,.and its from craiglist so no warranty.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Its a hardware defect buddy. If you want to fix it you will almost certainly have to crack the phone open. There is probably some gunk under or between the buttons.
Yea I know.that's what ima have to do.well thanks for replying .

Sorry man :-/
ButtonRemapper
you can remap it to the genius key using ButtonRemapper
found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=850464
If you've got a case on it that protrudes forward from the bezel just slam it face down on the counter. Worked for me! Haha

THIS IS A DISCUSSION/QUESTION and probably wont fit best in questions section.
People who are using MIUI beta for vibrant right now, you know you can take screen shots by pressing menu and volume down... right?
wouldn't we be able to incorporate that into our existing roms? It would just set a action for what happens when you press those buttons... so anyone willing to give this a shot?
Lol yea but that's gingerbread

Is there any way to get the recent apps in the notifications bar, kind of like the inspire has it. It would function like the home button but it would appear as you pull down the bar. Does anyone know how to do this?

You going to help him out or argue about posts?
Like I said, that's the only way I know of to being up recent apps. Maybe a theme has it?
Edit: looked into it further and I don't think its possible. Unless someone comes out with a rom that has that feature, long pressing the home button is the only way. I think the app executive assistant has something similar too.

Well, I know about the home burton method, but I like the notification idea so when you guys find something, can you tell me?
Sent from my HTC Aria using XDA Premium
There has to be a port from the inspire, or someone can build it from scratch
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
OMG it's like "Who's on First?"
let's get a nice stable, fast, working ROM on the Aria from CM7 before looking for tweaks to mimic another handset.
If someone had the Inspire, they'd probably see the Aria and want something they don't have, too.

the mysense (yogentouch) rom has this feature.
Speaking of this, is there a way to disable this on ROMs that have it. I hate that about the Inspire. The task-bar/dropdown is polluted enough as it is.
I think widgetsoid has that ability, I'll check and update my post if it does.
Edit: With Widgetsoid you can put your favorite apps in notification bar, but with Smart Bar you can put a button that will bring up a recent apps window. Only two solutions I can come up with. Hope they help.

Sadly, no. But they were the only two solutions I could come up with short of a custom built ROM.

If you know how to use ADB you can use that to flash your ROM.
If not, just warranty exchange the phone.
Na man can you point me there? I think I tried to use abd for my vibrant way back but it was over complicated but that was like a year ago..things might have changed

It's free as long as the phone doesn't have damages such as cracks or any water damage. You just have to pay the 10-20 bucks for shipping.
My phone looks like its brand new no scratches or anything but i did the back cover mod that makes it shiny and i wonder if thats going to cause any problems
Can i also go to a tmobile store to get it replaced? or is there a number i call?
From my experiences, tmobile asked for me to only send in the phone itself. They will ask you to remove the back cover, SD card, and battery before sending in your defective unit. Cheeeers

I've had this idea for a while but forgot about it at some point.
OK, one of my favorite things about computer keyboards is the ability to easily cut, copy, and paste using keyboard shortcuts - ctrl+x, c, and v.
Can we do this with the Epic keyboard somehow? Using the Fn button + x, c, and v???
Hope a dev can make it happen cuz i can NOT.
The new swype beta can...not sure if the hw keyboard can though
Yes you can. The menu button on the left of the kb right above the back button works as ctrl also..

See, this is one of the reasons I love having a hw keyboard. Menu+X, Menu+C, Menu+V for paste. In fact isn't the Epic one of the only if not THE only one which replicates all 4 Android phone buttons on the keyboard?
