I'm not sure as I have used the transformer keyboard on the device as well as the Rom that ported device you won't get far with Thor here try googling "thors Rom" or "tegra owners" ver 14.2 is honeycomb but looks just like ics. I'm sure if you get the right lib files and the apk you can do it.

thank you for your help, if I have more time I will definitely change the ROM, but if someone have the apk file or other idea please let me know
Regards,

I highly recommend Thumb Keyboard from the Market. It's not free, but well worth it...

I have found also a free one, it's A.I.type Keyboard Free - have nice themes and usefull functions... I recommand it!
Have a nice day!

What do you think of Hackers Keyboard?
Thats my personal pref...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.pocketworkstation.pckeyboard&hl=en
There are a lot more buttons so they are not as large, but when it comes to a keyboard that is convenient. (A lot less switching between letters, numbers, symbol layouts) I love it. Plus the arrow keys are sweet!

Thank you x51, I have tested this keyboard and it is really good one.
But for me is better larger one because is better to write 'on the way' so, I need bigger one
Regards

+1 A.I.type Keyboard Free
i love it,best keyboard for me

Im with x51 ,Hackers keyboard does it all!

I want the asus keyboard on iconia a500
I extraced and copied the asus.kl and asus.kcm to the appropriate directories in ics, but it is not working. Posted the same question in tegra owners ics rom dev forum no respose. any pointers are highly appreciated, i do not want to install any other apk to have a keyboard

This keyboard looks a lot better and it works without problem on Acer Iconia A500

I'm downloading the Arc's system dump right now. Apparently, the Arc's launcher is surprisingly good and fast. Will let you know if I get it running on the Desire.

i've tried this: http://www.multiupload.com/2YETWLF218
Only Home.apk, in the first post i've uploaded the preview on Desire without resolution fix
It's really smooth, but the interface isn't as good as many other launcher's.
Nice to see that it works anyway
just tested it out, like the little animations but nothing really special.
Looks nice and works good can someone make a better port with resolutionfix and the other sony arc apps ?
Thnx

I find the Arc launcher very good, better then launcher pro or the gingerbread ones... Would love to see this working in the correct resolution! Is someone capable doing that?! Certainly hope so...

I don't see what's wrong with it...
The buttons below are normally on one line for start. Further should the home button looks like a house. Also on the left there should be an arrow I believe... just search for it on YouTube..

Post some pics or link
I'm guessing it's this one: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/LC.KBD0A.014 since the OP is purposefully being vague.
Definitely some issues with functionality. BT connects fine, but there are several dedicated function buttons that don't work at all or don't work as they are labeled.
Browser button doesn't open default browser, same for mail, camera, and music. The forward button opens Winamp??? The lock button does not wake and unlock as the manual says. All the essential keys work correctly including the arrows, tabs, etc.
But if you are just using this to type, it is great. The keys are well-sized and have a solid action. Makes me think that I could leave the laptop at home on a business trip.
EDIT: Sorry to be vague about the model, I didn't know that there were other Acer BT keyboards options.

It looks very nice, but what is this about some keys not working correctly.
That is not really very good, coming from the manufacturer of the tablet and functionality not right?
As said it looks good and I wouldnt mind one, but I think for the price it should do what it says on the tin or no good.
Just my two cents...

Looks too much like an Apple product (eww).
Apple keyboards are the biggest proof of the stupid public buying into Apple's garbage. It's the cheapest junk to make and the chiclet keys are so awful that companies tried them originally years ago, but the public felt they were too cheap and didn't feel good. Apple slaps their logo on it and people buy that junk.
I bought my Xoom keyboard off Amazon for $55 including shipping and all the function keys work just fine with my A500. I've also heard the Apple bluetooth keyboard works just fine with it also, I think $70 retail but lacks the shortcut keys of course.
I'm using the Palm Bluetooth keyboard just fine with the A500. No, the dedicated function keys don't work, but this is a pretty close to full-size QWERTY keyboard with 5 rows, so it's doing a great job. Folds in half so it stores small. The hinge has a nice lock for typing on the lap. Paired quickly and easily, no lag, etc.

Why do you say that? Are you the ebay seller? So far I have not seen anyone get a cam working......
Yeah, I checked that item and it looks more complicated than the HTC camera. What exactly stops us from putting a cam in there ?

if the nook color had a camera on it, i seriously think that it would be one of the best tablets for $200 (if you mod it)......but without it...it still is one hell of a device considering what was on it when i bought it

If you somehow successfully putting a cam on the NC, can you please also adding the GPS chipset so we can turn the NC into the 7" portable navigation device.
Also modifying the bluetooth and/or adding microphone so we can make a phone call.
Big thanks

microphone is never going to happen, AFAIK, i know that they have had issues with mic's on CM7
as for webcams and whatnot, CM7 does have USB hosting available, so you can connect a usb hub and a ubh webcam and have it work on the NC, as for a camera installed inside of the nook...i do not know, i'm sure there is some way to do so..but i am not about to destroy my NC to try this out...

No honeycomb blue?????

Hi everyone, Im new to the tablet world as of this past weekend and was curious about something. Hoping someone could help me out.
I got my SG Tab 10.1 (wifi only) on saturday. Brought it home set it up and did the update to 3.2. I noticed that my icons on the task bar aren't blue and my settings screen isn't black and blue like the honeycomb icons should be. Ive searched pictures and youtube also and they all have different icons than I do. Is there a reason for that? Is it because I have the wifi only one and not a 3g one or anything? I wasn't for sure and I have been browsing for the answer now for 2 days and I get no answer, even samsungs website shows a picture of the honeycomb . So I thought I would come home to the family at xda to find the answer. Thanks in advance for helping me out.
Here is a picture of my screenshot running 3.2 and the grey icons that are from the original honeycomb

The different colors is samsung's touchwiz. If you do what the previous post says, you'll be stuck with 3.1. Instead, you should root and install galaxy task (which is 3.2) with one of boosted's themes. Much better and faster!

Ics camera +

OK, here's an application that brings the ics stock camera to 3.0, 2.3 and 2.2.
So I wonder if it can help with the popular roms, especially fxp..?

Thanks, i thought it was worth sharing, i also thought it better placed in general as my reason for raising it was to hopefully contribute to existing Roms (however if @MODS feel this should still be moved to themes&apps please do so)
I hope others find this useful, also - if you do have a go with this app please state your current ROM (i will update OP with this)
Thanks
I would be interested to know if any DEVs find this helpful too, obviously not my work as i am not a DEV - so kudos to the app developer - if you like this app - please consider buying the full version - a bargain at only .79p
