MIUIv04 beta 2 mobile data bug - XPERIA X8 General

Hey guys, I'm a new member of XDA forum. So I can't ask the author of this rom 'bout this issue in dev box.
Ok, like the title said. The MIUIv04 beta 2 has mobile data connection issue that beta 1 didn't have (It has a hotfix). But, the beta1 version is unstable and incall volume is so low.
So, anyone can fix this?
P.s: and one more issue is that when I open music app to listen and lock the screen it'll be lag and can wake up anymore. Can you fix this too, mah friends.
Thanks so much for your solution.

It's a beta version, so the best thing that you can do is wait patiently...

Actually, it's a popular issue, as evidenced by this
And this
Merely try to exercise patience. A little longer. Or end up irking the Dev(s) and possibly halting further development. Thanks for the restraint.

Yeah, it depends on gsm operators. Can't access some gsm operators, but others did. Don't know why

No, I meant:
Well, our devices have minor variations. Beta versions may not take those differences into consideration. That's asides numerous other variables. Heck, release versions at times fail to put the same variables into consideration. Bottom-line? Flash something more stable. Or wait for a stable release. It's worth the wait
Not the GSM operators.

So when the 2.1 from Sprint gets released what changes for us?

It seems to me thanks to the leak, we have everything an official release would have, except the bugs . Why is everyone anticipating it so much?

1. fresh kitchen.
2. kernel source code for the .29 kernel.
3.??
I think it is more for the code guys, because once they release officially then leagally HTC has to release the source (which they probably wont without pestering again) but that will allow the code monkeys (no offence you guys are awesome) to work their magic and get things really improved.
That is a very good question. I am completely happy with what I have now. Fresh 2.0d is, IMO, as good as it gets.

Some of you guys are completely delusional. The official release is going to fix an enormous number of bugs that currently exist in all 2.1-leak-based roms.

im not sure what bugs you are refering to. I have 0 problems with my phone (except when I mess with stuff)
First the OFFICIAL version shouldn't have us running back and forth to FIX little things.
Loading a ROM after the release should be as smooth as say....Fresh 1.1
I haven't had to FIX anything in that ROM and everything works.
My 2 cents is that being able to find the thread you want with the ROM dev you like and then load that ROM would be sweet.
But sifting thru' 200 plus pages and being asked to fix the ROM is weird for me.
Seems the dev would ADD the fix and re-release?.....no?
But like everyone else, I'm waiting for the OFFICIAL release before jumping into making assorted changes which we ALL might have to re-change when the release comes about.
Thanks,
Bubba.

The forums are called 'XDA DEVELOPERS'. If you (not you specifically but in general) are going to ***** and whine because the ROMs you're using aren't 100% flawless...you're in the wrong place. Sit down shut up and wait for the official release. These ROMs aren't perfect, nor are they intended to be...but by and large they're a hell of a lot better than the crap Sprint has consistently put out (both Android and WinMo).
As for 'fixing huge amount of bugs'....umm..I doubt it. I doubt Sprint would even be aware of most of them were it not for developers and testers like those here on XDA.
With the update to 2.1, Hero users will be able to activate an ancient supernatural power known as Voltron. We can either use it to better humanity...or destroy society.... I call dibs on the head.

Google releases Froyo update for Nexus Ones, open-sources code (from GSM Arena)

Lucky Nexus One bustards
As owners for X10, are we eligible for this update??
-----------------------------
Google is also celebrating today - Android 2.2 Froyo has reached two important milestones. Google open sourced the latest version and they are pushing out the final Froyo update to Nexus One users. And we're sure the timing has nothing to do with the launch of the iPhone 4.
Sure, Froyo has been available to Nexus One users for a while (mostly on dev phones and through manual updates), but this seems to be the final, official version of Android 2.2. You could manually download the update from here (it works only if you're running FRF50 firmware), though if you don't know what you're doing, you should wait for the OTA update.
Your Nexus One should automatically check for updates or you could force a check (go to Settings -> About phone -> System updates), so one way or another you should be getting a notification that a new version is available and download it Over-the-Air.
Some people are reporting that the update is not available for them yet, so it might not work right away - rolling out updates is a gradual process and it varies by location too.
The other important milestone for Android 2.2 Froyo is that Google open-sourced the code to their partners and manufacturers and everyone else too. This means that they can start working on Froyo firmwares for the non-Google phones.
------------------------------------------
Can we have official feedback from SE guys?

Well the Nexus One is a Google brand phone so it's no huge surprise that the Nexus gets it first. It'd be more suprising if it didn't.

The way I see it with Android devices is that you buy the hardware and then hack the software to hell and back. Just didn't count on the X10 being so hard to mod when I got it, guess I'm too used to HTC phones.

Thought as much. From the posts on other threads it seems as though posters think root and ROM will appear simultaneously.
I can imagine that the first ROMs we'll get our hands on will have all sorts of bugs, and we'll have to compromise on things like WiFi, Bluetooth e.t.c. Maybe due to lack of drivers available.
I'm going on past experience from The G1 and old WinMo devices.
Oh well.......
Remember to be realistic, guys. The devs can't just copy and paste Froyo onto our X10s without a hitch. It will take some time. I'm not even anticipating a stable version of Froyo on the X10 because it is a huge task.
What I'd like to see is the latest FW but stripped down with no branding or operator software (and no Moxier crap!!!). And if it's possible, for Flash to be released on the X10. That may not be feasible but I certainly hope it's available. SE takes forever!!

Info about cm13 for the G2

Hey guys, most of us know that cm13 is in the works for our beloved G2, but I don't think many of us know anything about the development.

No, unfortunately... This time I got an error about "No private recovery resources for TARGET_DEVICE", I made some research and don't find anything explicit. I'll try more this week, but I work, so I can't do as much as I did last week-end. Also, I think @Rashed97 is the maintainer on github, so every progress came from him. We also have to wait until we have all necessary files. But I'll try again and again, don't worry dude !
so excited for trying marshmallow on g2
there's some temporary commits on gerrit, which fixes cm-13.0 build for g2.
But, as I said, they're temporary. When cm13 gets the cm12.1 features, these commits won't be needed.
Great Daniel, thanks! There is a chance that you could share an alpha cm13 with us? just for curiosity of course, I'm expecting that most isn't working at the moment
The reason no one has posted builds yet is because cm13 is unusable as a daily driver. RIL isnt fully working and I don't know what else is broken since I don't use it much. When it's stable enough, then we'll start distributing test builds.

I think we are just getting excited including me. This little phone has gone a long way. They are working hard, seems like new activity on the commits every day. I think we all appreciate the work and its hard to contain ourselves especially when we start seeing all the development activity. Seems to happen every release cycle, patience versus readiness. Look forward to the build when it's ready, I think they will give us something good.

Its really hard for the devs to know how far they are let's say they get most the bugs out but one then when they try and fix that one bug other bugs come around only to make things worse but let's hope that like last year it'll be mid November for the new android to start rolling out for us.

I get that... It's a shame though for people like me who use XDA as the only source for watching dev work and looking for roms
Question:
Since there is obviously no single repository for whatever reason, is there some place we can go to be appraised of new roms and etc for our phone?
That used to be XDA, but now i guess it is not.
And if there isnt, how on earth are people supposed to stay up to date on new releases?

Considering their website doesn't have a section for the Axon 7, and other devs' troubles with this phone, I'd guess this ROM is pretty broken. No audio, sensors not working, GPS not working, voLTE not present, probably can't handle shifting down to 3G for incoming calls. It's probably a boot test.
Don't get your hopes up. At this point, it's pretty unlikely we'll see a fully working custom ROM for this phone. ZTE has just made it too hard.

I ran the BrokenOS ROM this past week and absolutely loved it. Great theming (if you're into the dark side) with substratum and snappy as hell! The same sound issues as the CM ROM and can be glitchy with trying to turn off and on WIFI to switch from wifi to 4G data. I didn't use GPS much but it seemed to work fine.
I only reflashed back to the HelsAX7 ROM this morning after discovering the the portable hotspot functionality is non functional on that ROM and i was going to be remote today and needed to use my phone as my hotspot.
Other than those minor thinks, it rocks. I'm keeping an eye on the G+ community hoping the supported official build get upped at some point, but I'm not very optimistic that will happen as I suspect they will have the same issues with drivers the CM devs are having and without ZTE's support that is probably going to be a blocker for them. I will still probably flash back the unsupported build that is out now once my mobile needs subside.
Hotspot works perfectly for me. For audio issues u can try any of the fixes suggested for CM. Not perfect but it's my daily driver.

I applied the CM fixes for the audio issues and it ended up the same as CM so that was fine until a real fix can be developed.
Not sure what was up with my hotspot this morning. I tried everything I could think of to get it to be seen by my devices but no joy. I flashed a different ROM and it popped right up. If you have any idea what I may try to get it working, I'd love to hear it because I want to go back to brokenOS.

Let the development start!
-----------------------------
Edit: new code dropped at https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/tree/cas-q-oss
Great news good to see some development may start soon hopefully.
It's been available for a while, as you can see the most recent commit is in March. However, the source tree is not completed. It's one of the reasons for the lack of development.

That, along with some other reasons, is why till now there is no rom.

You people always made our life easy by giving beautiful ROMs for our devices..
A lot of respect for you!!!
Kindly make some ROMs for our this device too
We'll be very thankful..

Devs have lives too, and this is just the thing they do in their free time, so they work at their own pace. Not every devs want to report everything, nor do they have to.
Things will get released when they are ready. Rushing the devs will just increase the chance that they will abandon everything.

so if I understand correctly
it can come out tomorrow
or never go out that's it ??
suddenly you have to wait for news
and for people who are not at all patient maybe they can try to do it themselves
what if i try to make a custom rom myself
what is the risk of my phone if i do something wrong?

Nice to hear thanks for the info !

What's the problem with that then? They don't work for you or me, they don't have any responsibility to develop the rom. They don't ask you to wait for the news, they don't ask you to risk damaging your phone. You have to take responsibility for your decisions, don't you?
At least every now and then, they let us know they're still working on it. Isn't that enough for you?

no you didn't understand I know that developing it takes time I am the developer of the craftdium.ml software if you know and I know very well that it takes time I wanted to know if I am making the custom rom my phone risks what?
Personally, I don't like MIUI, nor MIUI based Roms: eu, ROS, mix, etc.
I think it's worth to wait a while, even one month, for install a decent AOSP based ROM on this brilliant hardware. I made that on my Mi Max 3 and I am very happy now with the phone.
