search the forum. search the forum. search the forum.
Reading is fundamental.
I suggest that before you install any ROM, read the post from it's developer, several times.

This would be my wish list.
FROYO JPA / JPO, with a lag fix, BLN mod, Touchwiz GTG mod, disable increasing ring tone mod, and increased memory mod.
All of these things seem to be separate projects, what would we need to do to combine these to make the ULTIMATE ROM ?

All possible and already there with Doc's v7.5 ROM.
So all these things already added in this rom ?
Might have a look, and flash tonight
Do I just do it via odin ?

It isnt via ODIN, but all is explained in the first few posts of the thread, just follow the instructions carefully.
OK,
But do I have to install all the things mentioned above separately, after installing Doc's v7.5 ROM ?
If so, I would love a one flash solution, if that was possible
Will go do some reading
And overclock to 1.2 obviously.

Just go to: samsung galaxy 3 --> galaxy 3 developement ---> galaxy 3 custom rom. or you could just use the search: galaxy 3 custom rom
Sent from my GT-I5800 using XDA App
the custom rom didn't do any wonder. Reboot time remains the same, no quadrant score improvement. All it does was moving /system to ext2fs.

Here you can download mota's ROM:
http://www.multiupload.com/O2RNIQFYSL
Read this before flashing:
http://forum.g5devteam.com/index.php?/topic/30-first-build-released/
Okay Here is the link to the EXT2 conversion, and missing APKs. Please note that I, nor Motafoca, take responsibility for any damage that may occur to your phone, your computer (out of your frustration), or your mental/physical well-being (due to rising stress levels).
Instructions on using the EXT2 conversion:
1. Plug phone in with USB Debugging turned on.
2. Run MAKEEXT2.bat
3. Sit back and pray.
The Missing APKS are found in the folder inside another folder labelled "MISSING APKS"!
Enjoy
Also, please note that I take no credibility for the batch file. Motafoca did an awesome job compiling and creating all these utilities. If you want to thank someone, thank him. I'm only the tester
Download link: http://multiupload.com/O2ET4B8K0A
Edit:: I realize the download link says i5508 but it was created for the i5800. Sorry about the miss labelling.

I'm looking for a kernel with bln working on the rom I use...
I know I can have bln on my phone using another rom, but I really prefer using LiquidSmooth 2.3

To avoid duplicate requests for same PDA.
You lie. Just looking for attention.
JKay has made it clear, he is not doing 4.04 ICS rom framework.
He will be doing JB, though.

Oh, great, then. When looking the Dev thread, UHLPS was mentioned, so was not sure if JB for S2 has progressed enough to be released soon.
Great news. Will be waitingfor JB, then
Hey guys,
i bought the Nexus 4 and already rooted it. I'm running JB 4.2.2 stock.
I'd like to remain on the stock ROM, but i am willing to change the kernel in order to be able to extend the battery life.
Undervolting would be nice, too
So which kernel would you recommend?
Never flashed a kernel before, so a how-to (for noobs) for flashing that kernel would ne nice
Thanks!

Best kernels/roms/mods etc threads are not allowed. This thread will be closed soon. Look in the original android development thread .http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1912 There are customs kernels you can flash available in zip files and boot.img`s.

You can post them in the ROM threads. I would start with Matrix kernel.

That`s right, what i meant was look and read in the kernel threads, try a few and keep the one you like most

Finding your answer doesn't have to mean asking more questions and it certainly doesn't mean you create a new thread to ask it.
Search, read, search some more, download, test and then compare for yourself... Everyone's device and usage are different and so are their opinions.
That is why any Best ROM or Best Kernel or Best Device thread is a waste of time.
Thread closed.
