How to make the Close, Minimize & Maximize buttons bigger for easy touch.
I need a little help. In windows 7 you could go through Personalize/Windows Color and increase the size of the Close, Minimize & Maximize buttons to make them touch friendly. In Windows 8 CP I can't seem to find where to do this. Does anyone know or has anyone found where to make this change.
Thanks for the help,

Right click on the desktop, choose screen resolution. Choose 125%.
It makes everything more touch friendly. Increases fonts also along with buttons. That's what i do on my Asus tablet.

[Q] ubuntu on windows 8 problem

i start to install ubuntu on windows 8 i finish every thing and restart windows and windows 8 start normal no ubuntu !!! is there any way to make ubuntu work under windows 8 ?
The bootloader of windows8 is been modified. I heard u should use win7 bootloader for dual boot options.
I have another solution which is changing the default boot OS to anything other than win8.
Right click on my computer and select properties. Then on left hand side, select advanced system properties. Then select Startup and recovery. On the startup, select default boot OS to ubuntu or anything else. And also choose your default time to display list of operating systems. Now if u restart it loads ubuntu by default and u can also choose win8. Thats what i did.
"to install ubuntu on windows 8"?? virtual machine?
Windows 8 uses something known as secured UEFI. This means that only bootloaders with signed keys that are allowed by UEFI will be able to load. Grub/grub2 are not signed so ubuntu will not load. Google on secured UEFI windows 8 Linux issue for more details.

I thought I read somewhere you can disable this in BIOS but don't quote me.

Yes, but no BIOS has the option to disable this as pretty much nothing comes with Windows 8 preinstalled.

no but simple file sharing is still a pain in the arse in both versions and is the primary reason network sharing doesn't work.
Theres nothing simple about it!
go to folder options in the CP and click view
then go to the bottom and turn off sharing wizard
File sharing has been dirt easy since Vista.
Open up explorer
Click network
Click on the computer you want to share with
In practice it often isn't! Lol give me AD any day over simple workgroups

You can use installation media (a USB flash drive or DVD) to install a new copy of Windows, perform a clean installation, or reinstall Windows 10.
After you've created the installation media, you can reset or reinstall Windows. To learn more, go to Recovery options in Windows 10.

Windows S mode is locked in BIOS i think. I create new USB, remove all partition, create, new, format whole disk and after fresh install I have again Windows Home with S mode. Last time I had to unlock bios to perform install Windows pro.
Another method is download iso, extract it, remove Windows home image and pack it again, create USB and fresh install.
It worked few year ago and I believe it will work now.
Edit: Removing other Windows image from installaction doesn't work.
Edit 2: I don't remember how to mod and unlock bios. But after few full clean reinstalls I break S mode without ms login. Next I upgraded OS version with change product key (from ebay). I'm not sure it's the right way for my pcs, but it's enough for my clients. I think the only right way is mod bios and unlock slic.
