Hi, I have looked to all threads but not one's is for the Huawei 8510, is anyone done or in the making of android 4.0 for the above mention phone?
Marco
To be honest with you that is unlikely, since the u8510 is a pretty low-budget phone with low specs...
However, in a portuguese forum called androidPT there's a link for two roms (MIUI v4 and CM9) for the huawei sonic (u8650). In that thread, someone CLAIMS the hardware of both phones is quite similar and that the roms should be compatible with the u8510 with few changes. Note that it's just what I read there, I don't know to what point it is true, but you can try it at your own risk.
Sorry I'm not allowed to post links yet (less than 10 posts), but I'll PM you the links .

I've seen in the development forum that people are using the U8860 ROM on the U8800. That is awesome news!
My question is can the U8860 ROM be used on the M886? Its the same phone except the M886 (Mercury) is the American version, and the U8860 (Honor) is not. Also the Mercury's FFC is 0.3MP (not 2MP) and it's not GSM, but CDMA instead.
I suppose if the ICS ROM is out for the phone but in a different market it would be very easy to change it around for the American phone. I'm not a Dev so I don't really know.
BTW, I cannot post this in the Dev forum and there is currently no forum for the Honor/Mercury.
So could someone easily make the Honor ROM for the Mercury?

Alright everyone, Angelos from www.roms-db.com contacted me.
And i'm happy to let you know that after high demand, he's in the final
stages of adding Galaxy Note roms to his database of custom roms http://galaxynote.roms-db.com.
He would greatly appreciate it if everyone could check out his site and give some feedback if any information is wrong or missing. Also when there are any updates not mentioned (for example the android version (4.0.3
...))
The site for the Galaxy Note roms is http://galaxynote.roms-db.com
Thanks Angelos!
I would appreciate it if a moderator could make this a sticky since it's going to be a great help to the forum and the members/cooks!
Cheers!
excuse my curiosity, but what would be the benefits of that site compared to sammobile and dr ketan's thread?

If you check his site and see for yourself you'll understand. It's nothing like ketan's thread which only lists the official Samsung roms. I'm talking about custom roms updated daily. If you try searching for updated roms you'll find them in just a sec. It's easier for us it's easier for the cooks and it's a great way to find all the roms meant for your specification's (Touchwiz, CM9, MIUI, GB, ICS, JB, etc...) since his site is being updated daily and has the most complete package on all the roms available for HTC HD2, Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S II, HTC Sensation and HTC EVO 4G. Why not Galaxy Note? Anyway, he told me he might do it if more people would like this new feature, why would anyone say no?
Nice site and very well organized

very neat and easy to find and use...please guys head over there and see for yourself.
Everyone please press the contact me button and tell him if you are interested in a Galaxy Note page. http://www.roms-db.com/
Thanks Everyone

Hello, I know you would probably will send me to the proper board, but since I'm a new user I can't start threads in the a850+ board, so I thought asking here, maybe someone could get me some info.
Are there any good stable roms of omnirom for the Lenovo A850+? I've just recently discovered about custom roms, and so far I found very few roms that are actually better than the stock [Most have phone crushing bugs]
Currently I'm using the colors OS 2.0, but their forums show little to no help when it comes to the a850+, so I hoped to change into a new rom
Thanks in advance

Hello,
I'm strongly considering picking up a LePro 3, but I do have some concerns. I understand that the stock software isn't very good and I'm looking towards the community to create excellent ROMs for this device, but I do have some questions:
Do we have a clean method for root/unlock/recovery?
Is there anything stopping developers from putting together ROMs that are optimized for every aspect of the phone? i.e. enough source from LeEco?
How would you say developer support is for this device? I'm a fan of official ROM builds instead of using unofficial. Has anyone announced upcoming support for this device that I can look forward to?
Aside from that, feel free to mention anything else I should be aware of before purchasing the phone!
Thanks so much!

I have no idea what you mean by clean but if you can use adb then yes we do. If you are looking for a one stop shop all in one unlocker then the answer is no. look here for current method:

I believe all source code has been released.

There is minimal development currently. One person is trying to build a Nougat 7.1 Rom. That's a pretty big feat so it will probably be a while. Look here:

There is a developer that posted a debloated version of the x720(international version) of this rom already. It will work on our x727(US version). It is an older version though so there's that. Look here:

This is literally the smallest compilation of threads I've ever seen for a phone so starting a new thread to ask these questions is pretty silly. Since it's the holidays, I've been nice and responded to what could have easily been found in a couple of minutes.

Thanks for the reply.
The reason I compiled these questions were because I was hoping for more specific answers and some clarity. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough my initial post and for that I apologize.
I was reading what seemed to be conflicting information about the recovery software and process in which to flash it to the device. It looked as if there wasn't any goto method or specific TWRP version to go with and that this was still somewhat experimental.
It's good to know that the source has been released. I was seeking info about LeEco and people were saying that they didn't release source code for their phones as company policy.
While I've visited the ROM forum section, I was hoping someone would have insight into official ROMs instead of what currently exists there.
For the US model Le Pro 3 (X727) I would recommend using this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/development/x727-model-persistent-bootloader-unlock-t3500388) method to unlock the bootloader. That's what I did and had no issues. From there you can use TWRP to do a full wipe and install the ROM of your choice. Of course, I would recommend taking a backup of everything before doing this.
I'm running that CM 13 build with no issues on my X727. It's also possible to get the IR blaster working if desired.
Hi everyone,
I was very excite when I saw this post on TRWP site: https://twrp.me/site/update/2020/12/31/twrp-3.5.0-released.html since it would add the so much missed support for native android 10 devices like my 1+7tp mclaren, but to build this twrp you need an android device specific for 7tp mclaren I belive (similar to the ones found in https://github.com/TeamWin/?q=android_device_oneplus) (the android 10 branch)
Are there any guides on how to do this? I'm more than willing to give it a go and share it back if i manage to get it working.
My whole point in getting a OnePlus device was that I could dual boot (it would be really nice to be able to dual boot nethunter for work since I constantly need to do simple security assessments on the fly. Having that possibility on my mobile would be a huge time saver for me)
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
And congratulations to all on this forum. It's always great to see the coding communities at work!
