App to block web browser ab? - Galaxy Tab 7.7 General

I would like know is there any app can block stock browser or opera ad?
I couldnt find the adblock in dolphin anymore and i am not sure whether adaway can block browser ab or not (and i havent root my tab yet)
thank you

Firefox has adblocker plus and it does work -- depends upon whether or not one likes Firefox for Android.

Adblocking not working on web browsers

Anybody else having this issue? tried both adaway and abp, neither one of them block ads. is there something im missing?
Adaway only works on rooted device with root privileges granted to it. Adblocker Plus, to my knowledge, doesn't work in browsers. For unrooted web browser adblocking, you have to use a browser with an adblocking plug-in like Firefox.
tablets def rooted, tried both. doesnt seem to block website ads like my pc does. weird.
That leaves 2 areas to look at:
1. adblocker configuration and the ever-popular Is It Turned On?
2. the browser you're using
On my rooted Nexus 7 stock 4.2.2, Adaway works swimmingly in Chrome but not in Firefox which needs it's own adblock plug-in. Perhaps Chrome counts as a "system" app while other browsers not using Chrome's rendering do not and, thus, no blockage occurs.
Try Adfree dude. Works nicely here
Find it on XDA.

yeh its weird. Thing is it will block some ads but not others. If I disable it, it blocks more ads then if it was enabled. But if I enable it, it doesnt block as many ads as my desktop browser. That makes no sense. At first I thought it was the hostlist, so I typed in the same hostlist i use on adb for my desktop (easynews) and still get the same results.

Thanks for this. Tried it, same thing. Blocks some ads, not all.

How do you block ads in Chrome?

I don't like AdAway, it blocks a lot of websites unnecessarily, and I get tired of adding websites under white list, so I am looking for something else. I have tried one app called Adblock Plus, but it doesn't work properly, I mean it doesn't block most ads, and it force closes a lot of time.
What do you guys use to block Ads on Chrome?
Google this, blockes ads on whole phpne. LATEST_MoaAB_ADBlocking_08December2014_R2_CWM.zip

I know about Mother of Ad block, but the main question is, does it too block some websites, like AdAway?
Uh, Adblock Plus is a plugin for browsers, and Chome doesn't support plugins...
It does, however, work perfectly on Firefox.

Ad-blocking on Note 4

*EDITED*
Hey guys
Is there any way to block the system wide ads? I have tried Adblock plus and adaway none seem to be working. Does it have anything to do with knox? Any workaround ??
adaway should work just fine, as long as you're rooted and you've updated it from within the app.
ABP is a bit unreliable.
if you're not rooted you could try adguard.
it's very reliable, but a bit expensive(free for browser-only)
it uses VPN, so it does need a constant notification.
If you're rooted, a simple hosts file will work very nicely.
as above said....plus if you want additional features try Lucky Patcher
But all of that require ROOT
Try webguard free from playstore

Try dolphin browser and use the integrated plugin ADBLOCKER (part of lab).
All of the above!
For me firefox with ublock works fine for web browsing only.

i'll stick to using abp browser... no problems with that browser... no ads, no page redirections
Ghostery is an efficient browser, works well with blocking ads and tracking.

I just use Chrome, and am rarely bothered by ads. There is one notable exception to that... XDA! The ads on here load really slowly and make it a pretty unpleasant browsing experience on my phone (keep hitting the wrong links because of delayed loading of ads causing the page to reposition itself at inopportune moments).
I use Firefox with adblock +. Works fine.
Yes...XDA is a horrid experience with ads. Though has anyone tried the updated built in browser? Apparently it also has a built in ad blocker.

I am going to give it a go, as the update has given it a cleaner, lighter look and added full-screen mode. No status bar when browsing, so you can enjoy all of our beautiful big 5.5" screen! Hopefully the ad blocker is useful and they have made it less of a battery hog!
Update on the ASUS browser - it seems that it has a pop-up blocker built-in, but it doesn't do anything about the in-page ads such as those on this site.

What browser are you using and why.

Hello we spend most ofof our time using our phones to browse the net. I can't remember when last I used my laptop. Can we please share what browser we use and why. I have always used chrome Dev as it's easily since across my devices with regards to passwords and bookmarks. I also think that Google Chrome Dev is fast and really smooth. I would be very interestedinterested to hear thosethose who use the s6 with the stock Samsung browser and what attracts you to it thanks.
I use multiple combinations but 2 stand out from the others. Mozilla Firefox and Chrome re those. They both are browsers that sync passwords, bookmarks, and saved pages, but firefox does have a better security framework than chrome since firefox has been working on this track the longest. So in my opinion firefox is the best browser to ise.

Uc browser for the add blocker and speed.
Opera because I it has Opera Turbo, nice interface and good performance. Also, it syncs with my PC.
I use as few Google services as possible so no Chrome for me
I use #NoChromo, a modded Chrome, for the sake of ad block.
I use Firefox Aurora only (nightly)
I use the stock browser just for the fact i can use my fringerprint to log in to sites, no more forgotten passwords
It's not very fast but I use Dolphin Browser cos it has AdBlock and Flash support (you still need Flash to view some pages). I think it's the only browser that support that both features.
i use chrome and firefox, but chrome si a little bit faster. i use adaway to remove ads and banners (need root)
Next browser for its UI, is speed, and the way it handles tabs and translation. Also very swishy, built for swiping!
Stock Samsung browser for speed and stability.
Opera for reliability.
Firefox just because Firefox.

Chrome with AdAway
You have to be rooted for that though
