I know this has been briefly covered elsewhere, but wanted to ask in case any new developments have been made.
I'm running the prj Clean Desire NAND but am sick of the Sense lockscreen. I know I can remove the HTClockscreen.apk file, but it then it apparently kills interaction between my alarms (ability to turn off from lock screen) and also answering calls from lock screen.
Is there any way of just changing the Sense lock screen to a stock "swipe left/right" style, with perhaps icons to show number of missed calls/emails/sms but not actually content of them (sense showing half an unread sms annoys me too).
i guess im sort of after how cookies lock screen was on the windows roms.
I googlesearched everywhere, and I got the same information as you.
Maybe the solution is to disable sense's sliding lock with a little app and to enable the "drawing" unlock. I'm going to try this.
sorry if its been discussed before but I can't find it anywhere via search.
here goes, during sgs' time with eclair, I recalled having set a pattern lock and when i turn the screen on, it would require me to slide to unlock first then proceed to pattern (similar to iphone set up)
nowadays on stock gingerbread rom, it no longer shows the main slide to unlock screen, instead it jumps straight to pattern/pin unlock screen. Reason I brought this up is that I did prefer the previous setup to see date, time and charge % left (also setting up a lockscreen wallpaper only works in the slide to unlock screen only)
does anyone know how to return it back to normal?
thanks

I'm pretty sure that it shows all that /(time, battery, date) and you could change the lockscreen wallpaper by going to : Settings > Display > Wallpapers and then Lockscreen Wallpapers....
Are you running stock ROM/kernel no EDT tweaks etc?
On my Juwe ROM the only problem I could find was that the lockscreen was transparent, thus showing the wallpaper you have on the homescreen instead of the one you have chosen in the settings.

Thanks for the quick reply, this came about on jvk then jvp rom, no tweaks etc
What happens is if i select no password required it shows the default lockscreen.
The moment i set up a pin or pattern lock, the lockscreen doesnt appear anymore, itvjumps straight to enterin pin or pattern screen, im pretty sure this happens to everyone else on stock gingerbread...
Probably the best place to ask this, am using the latest stable insertcoin release for desire, sense 3 lockscreen is part of this. Having some issues though
1. Selecting to "pick up" or "reject" incoming calls from the sense 3 lockscreen is hard due to the "ring" area which you can drag the icons to, being tiny. Possible to change this at all, perhaps via custom lockscreens or such?
2. After picking up, if the phone has locked itself to require a pin or whatever before accessing, it is impossible to hang up a call until you input said pin. I don't think this was normal behaviour for the lockscreen before on the stock sense for desire, is it possible to change so I can hang up before putting in a pin etc?
3. If lockscreen customisations of this nature are not possible, are there any replacement lockscreens available which will alleviate these issues?
+1 for this as would also really like to know. It has been asked on IC threads also but noone ever answered.
Hello,
Unfortunally in I9100-Scetion it seems like noone is able to help me with my request, so i try it in the general android-section.
Im running Creature rom from Neme77 on my I9100.
Its based on PDA LPY.
In general the rom is nearly perfect for me but there are 3 things i would like to change (but i'm not able on my self )
- I want to remove the annoying brightnessslider from notification area (if possible the settings and lock icon too).
- I want to disable the statusbar in lockscreen, but i want to use swipe to unlock because of the weather and ticker option.
- I want to remove the pop-up input notification if my keyboard is shown.
Maybe someone is able to do these mods for me if i send the used files.
Thanks.
Hey guys I've got another question. Does anybody know how to remove the clock from the lock screen?
I've gone through Setting>My Device>Lock Screen and have everything turned off.
I've even downloaded an app called "Lockscreen Policy" which has an option to disable Widget and/or Camera, I've switched both of them off as well. I don't remember the app saying anything about needing root to work.
Really annoying that the stupid clock is covering my Lock Screen Wallpaper especially when the Notification Bar is on the Lockscreen and that has a clock on it anyway.
Thanks in advance.

If you swipe down from the clock it will expand the widget. You can then long press it and drag it to the trash can that appears at the top of the screen.
Be aware, though, that if you do not have any widget there you will just see a screen with a big "+" sign asking you to add a new widget and once the phone locks the clock widget will reappear. The only way to get it to go away permanently is to replace it with a different widget.
Hope this helps.

Yea i just tried it out and see what you mean. I just don't understand the point of it being mandatory to have something. That ****s raining on my customization parade. Thanks for the input.

You should disable the stock lockscreen all together and give WidgetLocker a try. It works really well on my wife's Note 2, and it's super customizable.

I try this and is says "unable to edit in security mode". I understand I may need to "unlock" the phone w/ the security code - but how do I get back to remove the lock screen clock if I do that? I am trying to get Dashclock Widget going, but this is blocking me.
Any thoughts?

Do you have a pattern or PIN lock set? I don't think the widgets work with those.

You are correct. PIN/Pattern doesn't work with other widgets. Thanks man.
Solved it
Hi, folks -- registered just to report that I have solved this problem. Download Minimalistic Text (free), though I'm sure you already have it. Enable Multiple Widgets on the phone, then add a blank Minimalistic Text widget. Delete your clock as described above and enjoy.
even easier: Blank Lockscreen Widget (Play Store)
galaxy s4 lockscreen
This has probably already been mentioned by now but for those still strugglimg with this. Drag down the screen from were the message and clock is. Click the pen looking icon to edit delete txt and uncheck clock if that is not required. Then press save in the top right and your lock screen will be clear :good:

Drag down the life companion message and click edit. Delete text and uncheck clock if also not required then press save. No app or root required just needs to be edited from the lock screen. May need to disable your lock security while you edit. Hope this helps
hide lock screen clock Android 4.3
Hey guys,
I recently got a Note 3 discovered that you cannot remove the lock screen clock. Simply doesn't allow you the option to.
But I found a way to hide it using the "personal message" feature.
Turn personal message on in the lock screen options menu.
Simply uncheck the clock and date boxes and space across a single character (as it won't allow you to have no text but will allow you a space which is invisible anyways..) and then hit save.
So then the next time you go to wake up your phone the lock screen clock will be gone!
I really don't like the way you are literally forced to have a lock screen clock!?!?
I often change my lock screen and desktop wallpapers and don't like the screen to be cluttered with text I don't want to see..
I have only tested this method on my Galaxy Note 3 so I am unsure if this will work on other Android phones..
Also what I have found strangely enough is normally there would be a half to one second lag for the display to sleep when I lock the phone.
This lag seems to have all but gone now that I specified a personal message (even though its blank) and hid the clock & date. Bonus!!
Hope this helps. Apologies if this has been previously covered..
Have fun!

Thanks so much for this now if I can just find away for it not to show that you have a text message on the lock screen things will be great.
FIxed.
Hay guys.
Sorry for the late reply. But I found a way to remove everything on lockscreen...
Date, time and also the unlock icon and rings.
But for now to remove clock simply allow lockscreen widgets then download zooper widget and replace your stock clock widget with an blank zooper widget.
Hope i helped.
[Rooted Phone] I found this xposed module and it's working fine http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ssrdroide.lockscreenclockmods
