Faded Spot On Screen?

So I've noticed recently that my screen on my CPO X has gotten a faded spot about an inch from the bottom of the screen. It hasn't reduced functionality or anything, it just... urks me, lol. Anyone else have this, and do you think Verizon might help me out? It makes the device significantly less attractive.
D: Also, only visible when the screen is on on a white page, but still.
Haven't over heated the phone once nor dropped it, running SetCPU at 1000 max 600 min.
Running on rooted stock, also.

Sorry, typo. Anywho, yeah, very annoying. It's only my second Android device, too- I came from the HTC Eris. Probably no way I can fix it, either.

The screen works as it should, theres just a bright spot on white or light colored backgrounds.
I just traded my Incredible for the X. I really like this phone but this spot is driving me crazy! I wish I could fix it somehow.

Same exact problem here. I talked to my guy at verizon and he saidd it for sure falls under a warranty replacement for a refurb phone. But it doesn't bug me enough yet to make me do that. I'll wait until my one year is almost up then replace it.

Yes I did but I don't have the receipt, the guy I traded with said he will take care of it. Hopefully they'll replace it for me. Its not a huge deal but it gets on my nerves.

I have what appears to be a dead pixel at the top right of my screen. It's a CPO and I received it this way. It has bugged the **** outta me since I got it. It was a replacement phone because the first one wouldn't stop rebooting. I think I'll call and complain as well, but I don't want my third X to have some other problem lol.

About an inch from the bottom of the screen in the center. And I will try to get a picture as best I can.

Try Jscreenfix, its free on the market, let it run for like 30 minutes... It fixed a dead pixel on my Droid 1.

Will try, but I don't think its a dead pixel. It just looks like a half inch wide faded spot.

I was playing with my friends new DX today and his screen looks so much better than mine for some reason, my screen looks really washed out and it has the ugly spot. Maybe by the time I get it back Gingerbread will be out

I have a epic 4g and don't need it or use it because I don't have sprint. Clean ESN and phone it in great condition. I am thinking about putting it on creigslist or ebay. Any tips?

Yeah, I was at Sprint store on Friday. They are still selling for $150. with a 2 year contract. You probably could have sold it for $250

DInc2. A quick search would have provided the answer much faster.

Not a fact.....they the inctedibles in stock. Best way to tell is to file a claim and see what they offer. Mine was. Dinc 2 for 5 days now its an original. Bottom line if they have a incredible that's what you'll get. Changes day to day. Good luck.

What the guy above said. Most are getting The Dinc2 but sometimes you'll get lucky and get the Dinc1 since they seem to be in and out of stock.

Yeah my gf got a Dinc1 not too long ago from them... It could also be a regional thing too. I'm sure she'll be more than happy to trade someone for a Dinc2 though

Anyone want a epic w/o a working screen?

Alright well I had these opening on the side of my epic form dropping it so much and one day I had it in the bathroom while the shower was running and I think the steam killed the screen. it slowly "Faded to black" literally it took like two days lol. It's been two weeks and Im finally calling it quits and getting a new one. Im considering sending it out if anyone wants to play with it, if you fix it I may be able to buy it from you at a reasonable price. But my main question is, does anyone want it?

I have one of these too. But I don't have insurance since the phone isn't worth the deductible. Just bought another. And it was cool watching it fade.

Eh I think I toasted it now, don't dip your phone in 91% rubbing alcohol? Lol I figured I'd try it since I was getting a new phone anyways. Now theres a blotch of rainbow in the middle lmao. Thanks for the offer though.

Nice job hahaha, and thanks for the links, I think ill give it up though, but I do warn you, I think it is toasted. The phone does still power up and I know it functions fully, but the screen is black, and there's a blotch of rainbow now (in the light) from a "alcohol bath"

Hello all. I just picked up the new Evo LTE last week from Best Buy and traded in my OG Evo. I have a spare OEM battery that I was just going to recycle but I figured I would throw it up here if anyone wants it. Still works fairly well. Just want $5 to cover shipping. PM me if your interested.

I love this little beauty! Really though, everything it different about it IMO. From the way it feels in your hand, to all the differences with ICS. It actually took a couple days of modifying things before I was actually happy with it. After the first day, I was pretty certain I would return it and wait for the S III. But the community here is quick to fix most problems, so I rooted and unlocked it and haven't looked back since! If you're up for an upgrade, I would definitely took into getting one.
