And this is the wrong forum. Well the pound is more worth than the euro. It could be that in UK 1 Pound is equal to 1 Euro, because the life there is more expensive.
But I sold mine for € 180 and I don't think you will get much more, maybe 180 Pound?
If you want to score an good new Android phone then you should buy the Evo 3D.
http://direct.asda.com/HTC-Evo-3D-A..._id=2786&campid=awin_HotUKDeals_47868_id=2786
Quite cheap, I payed for mine HTC Evo 3D € 289, but I noticed before phones in the UK are cheaper, because when I though that I bought an Dutch HTC Sensation, it was in fact an UK model, so it must be cheaper there if they manage to sell it in my country at still an low price.

WHOA!!
Only £207 for a brand new Evo 3d! ! ! !
I'm now VERY tempted to sell Ebay bought, 2nd hand mint condition Desire HD, still in original box, with all original accesories, for say, £170-£180 on Ebay and go to Asda and buy a BRAND NEW EVO!!
Got a brand new phone then, more speed and power....plus a warranty!!
Awesome...my Desire is going on Ebay in a second!!
matt

Well but the offer is only for people in the UK. I got mine for 289 Euros = 241.59 British Pounds Sterling.
So I got myself an nice deal to, although MediaMarkt also had them on offer for 269 Euros = 224.87 British Pounds Sterling, but that is almost one month ago already and they where not in stock according to there website on that moment.
So Saturday I checked it online again and they had them in stock. It suprises me how much cheaper the UK and DE are when it comes down to smartphones, because you have webshops seller in my country who are selling UK models and DE models.
Mine though was also the same, more speed and power and 3D and warranty to ofcourse, but ofcourse I rooted my Evo 3D already.
There are also plenty off custom roms for the Evo 3D. I don't know if you still can get 170 pounds for your DHD, I just barely got € 180.

Guess I wont be getting what I wanted for my DHD then :/ I'm tempted to go get a Evo 3D as well? How much better are they from DHD? like performance, camera etc?
Sent from my Desire HD using xda premium

Or wait, save some more cash, and buy either One X/S... Evo 3D sucks and it's a poor upgrade coming from DHD.

yup, looking at this:
http://versusio.com/en/htc-evo-3d-vs-htc-desire-hd
My mind is made up...bye bye 2nd hand desire hd with no warranty....off to Asda I go to get an Evo 3D for the same price my Desire will sell for, but then have a brand new phone, with more features, and most important....WARRANTY!!
WAHOO!!!!!

Selling my HTC Wildfire

I want to sell my HTC Wildfire
Bought Saturday 09 October 2010 - five days ago
Paid 299€ | 264£
Resell Price 240€ | 211,50 £
+ Shipping Price 10€ | 8,8 £
The Phone is new so don't bother ask if it's damaged, used 2 days.
If interested contact me with private messages
Payment method accepted : Paypal
The item will be shipped the day after the receivement of the payment.
Dave.
You'll have trouble selling at that price. They cost £200 new.
If I had paid 200£ for it I would sell it for less, but I actually paid it 299€ so, it's barely impossible for me to sell it for less.
The Phone is without contract, so every SIM can be used, I don't actually pretend to sell it, but I try, if someone is interested I'm here ^^
Dave
Why did you buy it?
It seemed to be the phone for me.
But actually does not meet my needs.
It's a bit too slow and sluggish for what I need.
A better android version can resolve the speed issues (if the 2.2 really brings a 2x to 5x faster performance) but I don't actually trust HTC for this update, and "stock marketing e-mail replies" are never something good.
To say it briefly, I tried it, i does not meet my needs. And it seems it will never meet them

Haha, so your saying that if you buy it overpriced then you can take more for it then the acual new price? That pure idiocy, it like if you were to buy a
HTC desire for 600€ and then selling it for 550€ just because you paid a overprice for it then the original 400€.
well all you UK tesco fans, you can now get it for £179.99 with £20 free topup.
makes me a little sick in my mouth when i think of what i paid for it a few weeks back lol

Not in every country it cost the same ^^
Actually here the retail price is 299 - 270 € (Without brand or contract) . So I think someone can be interested.
Same thing for the desire, here it is 499 - 479.
Maybe it's more convenient in your country, but here it's not a crazy price ^^
Dave.
I brought the phone back to the store, willing to permute and buy an HTC Legend.
I discovered that the unit was defective, and it was much slower than the others in the store, what doesn't worked , I have no idea.
The only thing I know is that now I have a new HTC Wildfire (Brown and not White as before, shame) and work much better, no 3D obviously, but the sense now is smooth and the touchscreen reply faster.
No Reason to sell this now xD

Yep, and given that for $741 USD you can get it in Switzerland/Germany, there's no way I'm forking out over $800 for it.
Seems that in the netherlands they list it for €590 (us$815)
I always hate it when a device is more expensive in specific regions
mobicity and smoothmobiles.com.au both have them now.
mobicity- $899
smoothmobiles- $895
im not sure whether to get one or not, its a extremly hefty price. i was planning on getting a normal galaxy S again, ( other died, no warranty cause i bought it 2nd hand and the owner is not here no more ) so i was going to get a brand new one
not sure what to do now.
Yeah, I'm gonna have to buy one me thinks - I'm addicted to my SGS and an upgrade will be awesome
Techrific has it for $889

Big bump.
So the Australian release will be around June, you guys going to get it now or what?
If its on the Optus $59 I will, if its on the $79 its too much imo, I'd rather get the Arc
I'm selling my iPhone 4 and will just buy it outright from uk, Australia is just such a ripp off.
I'm half way through my contract with optus so, I sell my iPhone for $700 and the gs2 was $724 so for $24 dollars I have upgraded. to top it of when my contract runs out I'll get the sgs3 lol yayyyyyy
Yeah replacing my Atrix with my SG2 which will hopefully be here by Friday. Ordered from Handtec as i didn't wanna get ripped off by Aus online resellers lol
Hey guys, who's getting their SGSII from where?
How much did/will it cost you (in AU$)
Is it NextG?
Which processor?
NFC?
Anyone here ordered a UK versrion of the sgs2? I take it ill have to get an adapter for the charger considering the sockets are different?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App
I bought from Mobicity, $900 (yay for disposable income). It says NextG compatible, no NFC and with the Samsung CPU (not NVIDIA Tegra 2)
hmmm.... I might get one from expansys.... will probably wait until next week and scope out a few other places as well.
I was upset that it won't have NFC because I believe NFC will become common use in everyday life sometime soon.... but after a bit of research I think NFC will be more commonly built into sim cards instead of phones themselves, so it's not so much an issue for me now. Also it's probably not going to hit mainstream until after the London Olympics by which time I'll have a new phone anyway.
handtec, price was AUD $700, i don't care about NFC, it is gonna be switched off constantly anyways, don't think it will get popular soon
Where to buy
Hey guys,
I've been doing some research on where to buy, I'm listing them in cost order, cheapest first. If I've missed out on a site, let me know.
If there is any reason why you wouldn't buy from the cheapest, please let me know.
I've never bought a phone online before and I'm kinda anxious about it.
I've gone as far in the checkout as I can, and prices include shipping to Melbourne, the cheapest option (no more than 7 working days).
Not VAT. Is that correct?
Currency conversions using Google on 4/05.
Unlocked Mobiles £435 $663
Handtec £456 $695
Clove £464 $707
Expansys $720
Mobiciti$914
Smooth Mobiles $924
So the cheapest is from Unlocked Mobiles, and the cheapest Australian store is Expansys.
Which store are you going to buy from, and why?
!!!!!!! I had it all nicely formatted, and the name of each site was a direct link to that website's listing for the SGSII.
But I can't post links.
Spent ages typing it up too...
my DHL online tracking still says Departed Facility in LONDON-HEATHROW - UK, same as 30 hrs ago... hm..... hope i can get it tomorrow

Best place to purchase HTC Desire Z?

Hi there,
I am looking to buy a HTC desire Z and I am from New Zealand, I see clove and ebay have several options, is there anywhere else I should consider? Mainly want the cheapest price and genuine HTC (unbranded carrier) phone.
Thanks
I'm also kiwi mate. Checkout mobicity.co.nz. . I have used clove but freight took ages and I got stung with gst by customs. Mobicity ship from ozy and refund you if you get hit with gst. They also have great support
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
Another kiwi here... got mine through expert infotech, wasn't the cheapest I could find, but, was in stock & got it the next day...
Hopefully won't have any warranty probs, but, if I do I won't have to ship it back overseas...
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA Premium App
Thanks guys, yeah I found mobicity and expert infotech but they are about $100 more expensive than buying from the likes of clove or ebay

Cheap Note

Hello all, been looking at prices for while, just noticed that www.amazon.de have dropped the price of the blue Note to €507, which according to ww.xe.com is 423 pounds ( im using an american macbook and cant figure out how to do the pound sterling sign). I ordered one few nights ago at €529, but last night it was €568, price keeps varying. A lot of the reviews on the amazon.co.uk website state that they have bought it from www.amazon.de with no hassle.
Just thought you guys might like to know.
the price has been fluctuating quite a bit due to supply and demand
Great shout out, trying to work out where the English button is though, my German isn't so good
Sent from my HTC Desire Z using xda premium
So it is about $662 USD. Not so bad.

Use chrome and it should autotranslate
Sent from my GT-N7000
Yeah, I used goods chrome, automatically translates the page for you. Just got the email letting me know that it has been posted, should have it by Monday, woohoo. iPhone 4s is on eBay, will hopefully get the money to cover the cost of the note.
Are you worried about getting it from a German source? Or is it through Amazon itself? I was looking at ordering it through Expansys-USA, but..
Ordered from Expansys and got a German version.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA App
I also saw the new price on amazon.de. Very exciting. I finally am getting the cash to buy mine and I'll get mine from there if the price doesn't change to much.
Also, the £ sign on Windows is hold alt + 0163 and then let go of alt.
On mac it is apparently alt/option 3.
I also have a US keyboard in the UK. I prefer the layout in general and just use the alt trick to get the £ when I need it.
Your Note will come straight from Amazon.de. Even recently open spanish store Amazon.es gets their Notes from germany warehouse (they actually warn "imported from germany").
The same with Galaxy S2 that bought a month ago for a friend. You buy on spanish store and it comes from wherever it suits them (france, UK, germany).
About the price, it seems lije "A day at Stock Change". The prices go wildly up and down as low as 525 and as high as 650. Different prices the same day on different EU stores, so you must keep an eye.

Brand New HTC HD2 T9193 Telstra Still Available

If you live in Melbourne, Australia, JB Hi Fi Mobile Phone Shop in Elizabeth Street, still have 2 brand new HTC HD2 T9193 Telstra units. Will sell for reasonable offer. I got mine for $300. This was current as of 27 March 2012. Hope this helle someone.
Isn't this phone 3 years old? 300 is crazy for a phone that old
The most awesome thing about it for us Americans is that it works on att 3g but I would never pay that price for one
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk
They still sell for more than WP7 on ebay, because they are so versatile and can dual boot Wp7 and android.
no way, I wouldn't spend more than $150 on that phone, even if it gets att 3G

Telstra Leos are very rare. They fetch a MUCH higher price than the regular Euro Leos and the Tmo ones. $300 is a very fair price for a brand new Telstra model.
