I cant seem to get gameboid to work on my fire. I load the bios but when I select a Rom it goes to a blank screen. Suggestions?

Forgive my noobishness but it's late and I hate doing this lol.
So I rooted my phone way back when it was just JF. When I turn on my phone with Home and Power I get a screen with yellow text and a white and black background. I assume this is the bootloader?
Anyway I recently showed my friend over msn the new guide on rooting. Went fine. Today I tell him about Ion. So he updates his radio, then the SPL and now when he turns it on it keeps booting to a screen with a phone and a ! in a triangle. Alt L shows commands etc. So it keeps booting to this screen. Fair enough we need to now update with Ion. However he doesn't have a SD card reader so I have no idea how to get the update on his card.
I'm thinking adb but I don't know how to go around setting that up seeing as his phone wont boot.
Anybody care to help me out? Thanks for your time.
The screen you are seeing with the yellow text is not the bootloader, its the recovery utility.
Camera+power gets to the bootloader
Home+power gets to the recovery
You can put the update.zip on your card and then put it in his phone to flash it that way.

After installing the new SPL. you have to install the rom. So basical;y, if he wants ion. just rename it as update.zip, place it in the SD, turn off the phone, hold Home+power, goes into the recovery console, do a Alt+W, then Alt+s.

which version and phone are you using?
delete a file called ts-callibration and then boot haret again. during the boot screen with all those text that scroll by, there should come a point when a white box with cross hair will come up in the middle of the screen. This is the calibration points for your screen. do that and your touch screen should work. hopefully that will help.
otherwise it just froze on you.
i am using 2.2 and HTC Touch HD.
how to celibrat screen?
boot into windows mobile.
go to file explorer and delete file ts-calibration in the root of sdcard if there is
such a file. if there isn't then dont worry.
now boot android by running haret.
look carefully during the linux script boot.
at a point in time during the scrolling script text you will need to calibrate the screen. (this is done before the boot animation comes up. if boot animation comes up then you have gone too far and will need to do steps all over again)
calibrate by touching the points of crosshairs. once done your touch screen should work. and it will load into xdandroid animation boot screen and into android froyo.
i'm trying to install vegacomb 3.2 built 8.1 last night and after went thru the moddedstock, start the vega in its original mode, selected the language and went all the way down on the agreement page.... but couldn't 'click' the 'Accept' button; the screen just not responding at all. helpppp anyone .

If you can get to it, run the screen calibration app. If you cant get to it flash the stock rom and try from there. When sorted try the modded stock again.

I've looked at the other ppl's posted but they dont seem to fix my problem :-(
1. I cant get into CWM on the first screen when holding down power+down the screen just flashes and sits there at the same option screen of CWM or downloading and doesnt go anywhere else!
2. I can select downloading option and it sits there at the ODIN3 download mode - I have tried various .md5 files to try and recover it but once its loaded the light blue loading bar the device restarts and just goes straight back into ODIN3 download mode with - downloading (do not turn off target) and yes i've waited waited and it isnt doing anything!
3. I cant see it as a external/SD device on my Windows to try and upload or modify stuff there either!
4. I cant get it to see it so I can use Kies to fix it!
Please does anyone know what to do next? Answer on a postcard?

Lots of conflicting info above please clarify - you said you tried various md5 file but you said your pc is not seeing tje tab. You need to fix the driver situtation before trying Odin.
You said in line 1 that it does not go anywhere in the cwn screen but you can select odin mode in line 2 so which is it
When at cwm can you access the menu and select any of the options?

I got in an A500 that had a weird yellow icon in the upper left. I wish I would have paid more attention to exactly what it said, but it was a small yellow icon, squareish and, to the best of my recollection, it said something like "NO FILE SYSTEM" or something like that.
Anyways, I followed a thread that I started where Moscow Desire helped me a LOT..

And was able to obtain my UID and SBK (thanx MD!! ) and went about trying to resurrect this A500..
I was able to get a bootloader installed... A black screen pops up at boot with
SKRILAX_CZ's bootloader v8

But then it just sits there at the silver ANDROID screen. The ANDROID will blink a couple times and it shimmers, meaning it is not frozen. But I have left it at that screen for 10-20 mins with no change..
I have tried putting on various update.zip files but it either immediately pukes with a dead ANDROID or it just boots to the same silver ANDROID and sits there..
I have been able to boot into recovery once, did a wipe and reset and then it just went back to the silver ANDROID screen...
Any suggestions for what I can try next??

Update info on this...
I have a working A500 so I loaded up PUB RECOVERY and did a back up of that A500 onto an SD card thinking I can simply RESTORE it to this one that is puking at boot...
I got an error message saying it couldn't format or restore /data.. I did an ADVANCED RESTORE and did each section one by one, /flexrom etc etc.. Everything copied over except /data...
Does this mean the partitioning is frak'ed???

I guess I was doing the right thing, but just needed the right combination of tools..
I used Black Thund3rs' APX Flash Tool and downloaded Bundle #11 from his "Bundles" Library..
Everything installed and, upon rebooting, it booted up fine..
So, woot!! Good to go!
