I have a rooted NC ver. 1.1.0
What's the easiest way to get up-to-date with the latest root? I see when starting my research to do this I've not received any of the B&N's OTA updates since I rooted about a year ago (I turned off OTA updates after my initial root).
Thanks
You might need to flash the new stock fw. (1.4.2 is the latest, I believe) then reroot with ManualNooter 5.0.2.xx

how do i reroot it after i unrooted then applied the link found of us cupcake 1.5?
i think you should have waited for a rooted version to be released for this very same reason. you can root back to another rooted version via the method you did the first time but you have to wait until someone cracks this version if you want to stay with it.
ix ty for quick reply
Should you do a wipe before updating to the the official OTA cupcake? Or just update.
With the upcoming 2.2.1 update, I was wondering if there was anything that had to be done to my phone before this comes out. I have 2.2 root with wifi and TB installed with some bloatware removed. Do I have to SBF 2.2 to ota without problem? I have asked several android forums with mixed results of SBF back and just update with root and reroot.
For every OTA update it is probably best to SBF back to stock because if things are removed the update could fail.
Is the answer different if you have rooted and themed but NOT removed any of the bloatware? From many posts, most allude to the absence of some functions as the problem. Does root inhibit the OTA update?? TIA.
Hi,
I have a German A501 that got the ICS update in August 2012. Since then I had rooted it, but wanted to return to stock unrooted ICS in order to be able to run the Excitor DME app.
The unroot process failed, and I went through a series of unsuccessful SD card updates.
I ended up using the EUUs to get the tablet back to Honeycomb 3.01, and then updated via SD-card to 3.2.1 but I seem to be stuck there.
I have installed the Acer Update app, but there is no update available for my Tab. Is Acer still distributing the upgrade OTA?
What other route could I take back to a stock, unrooted ICS?

Alternatively, could one of the German users point me to a ROM that has allowed them recently to upgrade to stock unrooted ICS OTA?
Thanks

Is it a good idea to update latest firmware? I just got a notification recently saying that there is an update. So I heard about Samsung took some precautions to prevent rooting with new firmware. I am not planning to root my device soon but was just wondering, is there any disadvantage of updating to latest firmware?
I've had Bluetooth issues since updating to the august ota for my 6t. I have downloaded the ota for July and was wondering if I can downgrade without losing data? If so what are the steps to do this? I am not rooted or anything.

If you're not rooted I don't think you can do it. Only way I see you being able to do it is to download the July OTA and flash it in TWRP (custom recovery). Bit if you're not rooted then you obviously don't have a custom recovery.
Maybe flash it via fastboot but you would need an unlocked bootloader for that which I'm assuming you don't?
