[Q] I got my phone with froyo xxjp8 preinstaled

I got my phone with froyo xxjp8 preinstaled on it, maybe its also rooted but dont know and it doesnt want find my SIM card...so what should I do? Should I try to flash to latest official firmware ( and then which one is it?)? Thank you in advance for your help

Hi, can anyone upload this rom for me. I tried htc site but not accepting my s/n? Even higher version will do since i want to repair my htc hdmini bricked by downgrading.

Hello, i flashed the russian rom from this page:

Now my phone says "Your OS ROM isnt customized for your hardware. Please reflash". Can anyone explain why this happened? Also, i have 1.36.721.3 ROM which i downloaded from HTC site. When i connect phone in bootloader mode and run the stock rom i get error. Can anyone explain procedure to flash this ROM to repair my phone?

hi, first i'll introduce myself..
I'm Lucas Lo Faro, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, I'm a java developer and an Android fan.
i think i'm having a problem with the baseband in my defy plus.
i use to have a defy (with froyo 2.2) and now a i have a defy plus with 2.3.4 and accidentally downgraded it to froyo 2.2 when i flashed the standart sbf of my old phone..
so i read a lot here and finally flashed the famous chinese firmware (2.3.6) to unbrick it..
and then i installed the MS2Ginger 4.0 rom but i cannot get any signal..
My issue is:
when i use the baseband switcher v4.0 i get this error:
"unable to detect your baseband configuration, it's possibly damaged. reset to default?"
so i renamed this directory: system/etc/motorola/bp_nvm_default
(as i read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1203297)
and used the baseband switcher v4.1 as i read in a post here.. but it still doesn't work..
any ideas?
please help meeee!

i'm in Argentina and my service provider is Personal..
i don´t know what to do..
i thought it may be some rom incompatibility but it seems i cannot change the rom anymore.. because it would brick again..

Stock Sbf
Try flashing the stock sbf again. Then root it, and flash a custom rom..maybe it'll work then

Have you tried to select "Claro" instead of "Personal" yet? remember the baseband switcher doesn't work if you select Personal.

Not possible flashing a ROM

Hi All,
My wife has a HTC Spart/Trophy, it would be nice having W7.8 on it, little tiles etc.
But, it is not possible flashing a rom or downgrade rom on it, it always stuck on 0%
It was a Vodafone one but she can use all other operators on it, i think it is not CID locked (more operators)
There is a 5.xxx bootloader on it, who know's how to flash?

htc spark can't flash

bought a used htc spark over the bay.
It says in the beginning german or English,
but when i choose German i can't read the text it's somehow messed up.
Also i can't use Marketplace.(it's in your country not available)
If i try to update it trough Zune it says my Phone is up to date Version 7.0 6341
tried to flash it with goldcart method ( did that with htc Mozart already) different roms but it always says get newer nbf file.
This Phone should be from UK.
If i try with bootloader it shows blue stripes on bootscreen and says no image file, doesn't matter which rom i tried.

I'm at 3.2...MNG. Can't downgrade or flash any ROM. No help on these forums for ****.

[Q] Update problem

Hey XDA!
So I really would like to flash a new Rom to my Samsung omnia 7. However none of the tutorials seem to work...
My os version is:
7.10.8773.98
my Bootloader version is: 5.11.1.8
Also my phone is not unlocked. It was once but i updateded it and i lost my unlock so I'm back to normal...
So could anyone help me and redirect me to the correct thread for my needs or write down what i need to do?

****... So i finally managed to flash my rom installed magldr on my phone and then used dft wpi sam1 to flash another rom.. Turns out my phone has probably no firmware now and after the bootup logo remains at a black screen... So could anyone help me please?
