A few days ago I updated cyanogenmod on my phone to a nightly build and found a weird problem. Whenever I installed any app and rebooted the phone, the app would always force close when it was opened. This problem kept occuring even if the cache or the data was cleared, and the only way to fix the problem would be to uninstall and reinstall the app, which would last untill the next reboot. Also, some apps would not appear in the app drawer. I tried to install a stable firmware, but the problem still exists. Is there a solution?
It even got rid of google play! The only way to get it back is to uninstall the updates and then reupdate it.

Hi i deodexed my phone 2 weeks back and ever since then my market seems to just randomly stock working every morning. to get it working again, i have to go to CWM, install the deodex file from this forum, reinstall my theme, and reinstall my kernal(stupid-fast). the only fix i can think of is undoing the deodex. any tips??
I would try wiping and reinstalling whatever rom you are using.

well i did a full odin restore, installed a stock.zip, turned on my phone, signed into google, and my market worked for 30 seconds and now everything is "download unsuccessful" as it was doing before. am i screwed? lol
I use appbrain to manage all of my apps. Install the app first then sync all of your apps. After wiping/clearing cache, you can just reinstall appbrain, sign in and sync.
Brand new A7. Flashed newest official eLocity firmware (now I realize I didn't need to do that), Wiped, then Installed DexMod v1.3 then BT Fix.
Android Market, after initially opening up and having me set things up, just force closes when I goto the Apps section. What can be done to resolve this or is this caused by DexMod and I should not install apps via the market?
Calendar FCs and YouTube just closes immediately without any message.
Looks as if Calendar also FCs.
I had the same issue so i went to apps setting then manage apps then to the program that was fc i then cleared the data and restarted that program and it worked just fine. Hope that helps

I had similar issues after upgrading to 1.3
My issue was that I remembered to wipe/reset, but forgot to clear cache.
Went back and did that step and haven't had a problem since.
OK so I went from having force closing problems to wifi problems and now it's market problems I'm slowly getting better at this. So when I want to download something on the market it starts, downloads to 10 percent and just stops and I have no idea. This happens almost every 5 or so downloads and I once cleared cache an it worked for just one application and that's it. Thanks for your help guys

[Q] marketplace not working
as of today my android marketplace hasnt worked... i click an app to download and install and it starts the download then the thing just disappears from my notification bar and it never actually installs on my device. ive tried this on several different apps, including some that i have downloaded before but decided to uninstall, yet the problem remains. im running cm7 nighty #35 if thats any help. can anyone explain whats up?
First thing I would try is to clear Market cache by going to Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Scroll down to Market, select Force Stop then Clear cache, and try downloading the app again.
yeah i had tried that. but no luck, it didnt work. i guess maybe itll fix itself when i update my rom. i dont know
Drum doesn't work did that already I think it's the rom maybe they will fix it soon...

I was having an issue with it as well (but i'm on cm7, if it makes a diff). I did the clear cache/stop updates method which worked great the first time. Then the issue happened again, i cleared cache and rebooted, worked fine. THEN i had the issue again, (but i noticed it seems to have happened after using the clean feature in sd maid). Removed sd maid, cleared cache, havent had a problem since.
I have been running MIUI 1.11.4 since it came out and for some reason, yesterday, the Market app has decided to start force closing on me. I can open Market and can even get to My Apps but when I try to go to an app page it force closes. I tried re-flashing the ROM and Gapps but nothing seems to help. Any ideas?
I was having the same problem. Gave up and just flashed Mirage. So far so good...
Did some more looking around. Pretty good thread about it over on MIUI.us. Sounds like it's an issue with the newest version of Market. If you uninstall the update in App Manager it works fine. It's only a temporary fix though as the Market will auto update again eventually. Then you have to uninstall the update again to get it to work again. It's an inconvenience but I really like MIUI on my NC so I'll put up with it.
I've had my G2 for a few months now, no problems. Earlier today i noticed that it wont update my apps or i cant download new ones. its just constantly stuck in the starting download stage, never actually starts downloading.
I've tried:
force closing the play store app
clearing the cache and data from the app
signing out of hangouts then back in (read that might help)
restarting phone, and powering off then back on
I am out of ideas. anyone have any suggestions?
I am having tg the same problem. Started earlier today. My guess is it's a problem with the market. Hopefully fixed soon.

ROM upgrade.
I have had this issue in the past and found updating the kernel from the custom rom's stock kernel to another kernel(furnace, paek, etc.) has worked for me.
I'm just on the stock LG rom, I've rooted, but that's all I've done. So not sure how to update the kernel.
Get a custom recovery like can or twrp, then look for a kernel compatible with your device
