Hello,
yesterday I installed NAND Android by DFT. It's a beauty of a ROM, perfect! However, the Volume UP Key doesn't work now! Although a minor issue, it's pretty annoying. I have not found this issue around the forums, so, I don't know what I did wrong.
Help or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Nevermind, I found out I managed to break it while I was flashing stuff. Sigh, my bad.

I have tried every combination of rom + radio suggested and none has worked for me. I then found a thread saying it was a problem with the kernel.
Does anyone know if there is a fix in the pipeline for this?? If it even is a problem in the kernel.
Or is there some radio+rom combination i have not tried?
please someone help i would like to use android all the time, as it is i have to keep rebooting to make a phone call

Why don't you just wait? It seems like everybody's forgotten that Android is still in development.
Save your time and effort figuring out which combo may be the best for Android just to find out that WinMo is still more reliable in everyday use and that you just screwed your WinMo config for nothing more than an Android alpha, which just won't work the way you'd like it to do.
That's the way I look at things.
SOLVED!!
Latest zImage solves this problem so anyone wanting to know how to fix this...
download latest zImage from cotulla (cotulla.pp.ru/leo/Android/Cotulla_zImage_VOLUME_SR_AUD.rar)
extract zImage and copy to SD card overwriting the one already present, also keep an eye out for your particular port's author updating their work. They will most likely include this and possibly some other fixes.
OK......I know this is a common problem, but the solution is not.
i get a black screen with 9 lines of code in the top left and it will just stay like that...(im aware im looking like a total noob, but having froyo 2.2 on my HD2 will be worth it )
ive tried...
-Searching these forums (in vain)
-updating the ROM
-putting hspl3 on the phone
-and a lot of different builds.....all with the same outcome :/
I would really like to have android on my phone and ANY help will be greatly appreciated
Many Thanks
Not sure if this is the reason your having your problem but i know that when i first started testing android builds and was having blank screen freezes and hanging on jumping to kernal... my problem was actually in the folder name.lol yeah something as simple as that.
in the developers directions when they say 'make an android folder', i didn't think they actually meant 'name it Android' I thought it was a figure of speech. so i use to name the folders after the downloads themselves..like froyostone or desireHD but when i started naming them Android..i had no more problems.hope this helps.
Hello, I had the same problem, all you need to do is update the radio to a version between 2.8 and 2.12. Here is how to do it: http://www.jayceooi.com/2010/08/11/...o-rom-leo_radio-2-07-2-08-2-10-2-11-and-2-12/
Hope it helps!
This solved the problem totally.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
I just got the HD2 from a friend of mine, it is running Android 2.2.
When i turn it on it starts up with Android 2.2 and i have been fine with that.
I don't know how to do anything with this, just start and use A2.3.
I have been reading about radios and Cyanogenmod and other related topics but i just can't crack it.
I am wanting to update to 2.3 and also learn about how to do things and i cannot seem to find any posts helping me with the two above mentioned issues. If anyone could help me out solving my issues that would be great, also if there is any posts i should read could you point me to them.
Any help is truly appreciated. Thank you.

It is about the stuff you need for android.
Most definitely you have the right HSPL and radio, so you can move on to read CWM, MAGLDR, cLK, etc.
i am not related to IT by profession, nor have much of a knowledge; however, i believe i have learnt a bit to install Android on my HD2 (ofcourse trying something like this for the first time).
after going through several threads on this forum, i have established some understanding on how to flash a rom.
i am using:
HTC HD2 T8585
Radio Version: 2.15.50.14
i just need some senior member or other experienced person to go through following part and confirm me if i have learnt the right thing to flash my HD2 for the first time.
currently, it is running on WP6.5...
so i will first flash HSPL 2.08...
then i will flash MAGLDR v1.13...
later, i will install ClockworkMod Recovery for HD2 - v1.3
then i believe comes the ROM part...i will be using this rom:

all the tools mentioned above are download from xda forums, as posted by senior members and developers.
my thanks in advances to all, specially to this thread "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1021837"
if i am missing some part, pls do highlight. thnx.
Hi!
The process you described is OK, if you are still unsure about flashing, read this nice tutorial by mengfei:

I followed this guide back then and everything worked perfectly during the flashing.

indeed!
btw which one u using? this one got a little bug with paranoid setting. rest all works fine.
I personally use kovjanos' paranoid ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974062
It's a relatively old release but there weren't many changes in the official PA source since then as they moved to 4.2.2 and PA3+, and the newer PA and PAC roms don't have properly working paranoidpreferences app. I use it with the PA framework because the PAC one is really laggy for me.
Meanwhile I'm waiting for the WiFi fix for 4.2.2 (I'm not a developer so I can't really do anything for the case unfortunately )
If you want to have fun you can try Zejsters' PA2.99 port, it has really amazing features and is fully functional (except for wifi)
Hi everyone.
I've been spending a lot of time now searching the forums and google for answers regarding a problem I am experiencing with the Pixeldroid Android 4.2.2 NAND ROM. In case you are wondering I'm really bad at all this and in case I have to reflash or something like that I would be glad if it's possible to explain to me in detail what I have to do
So. I installed the ROM via magldr and clockwork mod, and to my suprise (cynanogen 10.1 jellybean 4.2 didn't work out for me) the OS booted and everything seemed to be ok. However when I wanted to check out the app store, I wasn't able to turn on the internet. I've seen people having issues where a network simply doesn't appear on their list, but I can't ENABLE WiFi connection! The slider that says on/off is greyed out and I can't interact with it in any way.
If there is any additional information needed to solve my issue I'll be happy to provide it. Keep in mind that I am very new to all of this and that I am still learning

Does noone know an answer to this one? I really have no idea what to do anymore...
